This company is at the top of my list when I need plumbing assistance. I just arrived back in the desert for the season and had that terrible sewage spell coming from the drains in my house. Great honest guy. After calling on a Sunday Richard told me 2 hours he would be here, he showed up 15 minutes early. He went right to work on our clogged sewer line, fixed it without any ""doctor doom"" you need new pipes. Our drains work great and I am so glad I called the right guy.

On the Monday after Christmas all the plumbing in our house clogged and backed up. We called the plumber that we had used and highly rated in the past, but he couldn't get to us until Wednesday. He referred us to two other plumbing services, one of which couldn't get to us until Tuesday; the other could get to us after 3 pm which is when overtime started.

I returned to Yelp and saw good reviews for Desert Drain Cleaning and since our problem involved our drains and we had no facilities, we called DDC. A very tired Richard answered the phone immediately and told us that he would be out to repair the problem, but he couldn't get to us until after 5 pm. When I asked about overtime, he responded that they work 7a.m. to 7p.m. without overtime charges.

Richard arrived as promised. When we couldn't locate a clean out for our main line, he tried to router the problem through a shower drain with little success. We thought he would have to come back to add a clean out so he could access the main line and/or repair the pipe as necessary, which could cost over $1500. Luckily,though, Richard recalled doing a job in a house with a similar layout down the street and remembered where their main line was. He returned from putting his router back in the truck with a shovel and asked if he could dig where he thought the clean out might be. After about 15 minutes of scraping and shoveling, he found our clean out! His curiosity was piqued and then he asked if he could get the camera and take a look at our main line. He showed us four joints in the pipe near the street where roots had grown into the pipe. He routed through the roots so some water could flow again. He also used a sonar-type device to locate the large root clog under the street in front of our house. He said that he could clear the large root with router bits made to chew through route balls and that we would not have to dig.

We made plans to have him come back to clear the roots entirely. He returned as planned and was able to successfully clear our root clog--at a savings to us of at least $1000. With twice-yearly maintenance routing, we should avert any future blockages.

Richard told me that DDC does all types of plumbing work. It was our lucky break that the other plumbers we called were too busy to help us. We will definitely call Richard again when we need plumbing help.

In the past 10 years I've called Desert Drain Cleaning to fix clogged drains and every time it's been a guy named Richard. I was shocked he remembered every job and even what kind of car I have. My issue this time was my washing machine drain and he unclogged it and thoroughly tested it before leaving. He asked if I was having any other problems and I told him about a slow flushing toilet which also gets stuck. He took a look and for a small extra charge replaced a couple of inexpensive parts and it is working great too. They do not take credit cards so make sure you have a check book or cash.

Came home from work to find our neighborhood flooded. Gallons of water had rolled down our adjoining streets. Initially thought someone was draining their pool, only to discover all of the water was coming from a broken pipe buried in our lawn. An unattentive postman was seen earlier that day swerving his truck over our buried sprinkler system, causing a pipe to burst, and likely hundreds of gallons of water leaked leaked out over several hours.

It was now dark outside and we were not able to shut off the water main. We called DDC and within a few minutes Richard was there. He got the 50+ year old water main to turn off and completed the repair both very timely and for a VERY fair price.

We would not hesitate recommending DDC to anyone !!!
