Richard at Desert Drain has very high integrity. I own an older home in Palm Springs which now has renters. I have had Richard at the house on several occasions due to drain backups in the master shower as well as sink and toilet due to roots in the pipes. Richard is quick to respond to voicemail messages requesting assistance and is an excellent communicator overall. Each time, he was at the house within a short period of time to snake out the pipes and, upon my request, put down a camera to view the line. His prices are reasonable for the work. On his own time, he even picked up a call from me to advise when work was outside his scope. He helped me discuss what I needed to look for when choosing a company for a very costly job to line the sewer pipes. I am really grateful for his skill, time and direction.

Desert Drain Cleaning Plumbing Service is without a doubt the best plumbing company in the Coachella Valley. Within the space of a week, Richard saved the day for us twice. Once with a blockage that was occasionally backing up waster water in a toilet stool and shower in our home, and the second was at my place of business where a sheer disaster was diverted when he was able to show up the same day as the call to avoid loosing customers, and miraculously removed a large packed wad of Cottonelle wipes, (and NO they do not dissolve as claimed) from the plumbing shared with the neighbor's business.

Both times Richard's perseverance and skill saved us thousands of dollars in potential trenching costs. He is a kind, respectful, and extremely punctual gentleman. On a Saturday my kitchen really stopped up. I called the 2 companies my community recommended. Both only work Mon thru Fr., Sorry drains do not work Mon thru Fr. On Sun I called someone from the yellow pages. He spent 1 1/2 hours here and it was worse after he left. He was to return Mon, I decided ""NO"". I called DDC. I did not know them, as I have only live here for 4 months.
Richard returned my call within 5 minutes. He said he could be here within 45 minutes to 1 hour. That was fine with me. He showed up 30 minutes later!!!!!!
An hour later my drains were clear and flowing as they should be and my kitchen was spotless!!!!!!!

I had a main line sewer backup and Richard was on the scene in less than an hour. Very responsive to the urgency of my call. He tried his best to snake out the line and to his chagrin, his snake broke my main line apart in one place and it was leaking under the house. It was getting dark and he could not get under the house to see what had exactly happened, but came back the next morning and crawled under the house (brave man) to put the line back together and make sure the entire drain was clear. He was so honest and forthright about what had happened, and did not charge me for the first call or the repair he had to make, just to clear the drain only. I highly recommend Richard and his company for the forthright honesty about the situation. Another less honest plumber could have told me anything and I would not have known the difference, and charged me tons of money for a big job. Desert Drain Cleaning now has my undying loyalty and highest recommendation.

Desert Drain is definitely the best choice for drain cleaning services. Richard is an expert: very experienced, knowledgeable and thorough. He does the work himself - not some careless flunkie. He clearly explains what he plans to do, keeps you informed every step of the way and shows you what he finds (clogs, roots, pipe damage, etc.). He's very easy to work with and a great communicator. On a recently purchased 55 year-old house in Palm Springs, he used his camera to inspect two separate sewer lines (originating on each side of the house) and to inspect the primary sewer line where they joined and went out to the street. I was invited to watch the camera screen through the entire process - which I did. He easily cleared a fairly significant root blockage from one line. Then with his locator, he mapped out where all these lines are located and where they join together so I now have a complete understanding of the layout - which will make solving future issues much simpler. All this was completed in less than three hours (in pouring rain). His pricing is simple and clearly explained up-front. It's the best service experience in my memory.

Our shower backed up, so we weren't sure if it was just the shower or the main drainage line or maybe Snakes In The Drain (you don't know, man, it could happen).

When we called, we got a human - not a machine - whose name was Richard. He told us he could be here in a couple of hours. He quoted us a price - more if turned out to be the main line.

Shockingly, he showed up a little early, and was polite and knowledgable. He did a diagnostic evaluation, and when the water started rising in our second shower, we knew it was the main line.

It took less than an hour (and he used a Snake on the Drain - ha, I told you it could happen!) and the drains are all working again. Would definitely recommend to family and friends (well, to the ones we like, anyway).
