This review is unsolicited. I wanted to write it because the service, follow up and workmanship I received was definitely 5 star! This is the second time in a year that I had a water leak in my home. Both times Deschutes Plumbing was terrific. I dealt with Chris via phone but other plumbers did the actual repair. Chris was understanding of the issues, straight forward and he stayed on task until everything was right. The fees were fair and competitive so I felt I received a very good value for the dollars I spent. From my experience they are the BEST!

As far as the service requested- Dechutes Plumbing came to a rental and gave us a work proposal. When I tried to connect with Andy, who wrote the proposal, I was told my job which is approximately $4,600 was not big enough for their company. I basically received the following email with no other explanation,
""My manager says that unfortunately your job is too small for us to take on at this time"".

Received notification from water company that I may have a leak, I called Deschutes plumbing from the yelp reviews. Jason came the next morning, very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Showed him the source of the leak, immediately had a solution for a fix. Done in about 1.5-2 hours. Excellent quality of work, done perfectly. If I ever have plumbing problems, they are my first call. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. This is an company with amazing knowledgeable people.

These folks are the epitome of professional. They did sub work for our contractor when we did a remodel and they did not disappoint.

So when a outside faucet started leaking they were right there to get it fixed so i could tick off that issue on my DYI list

We got a new kitchen sink, so the job was to install a disposal, faucet, and all the pipes. They did a great job at a reasonable price, less than many other plumbing businesses in town. I will hire again for future plumbing work.

Robert from Deschutes Plumbing fixed a leak at my house the morning on 3/7/22. He did a great job. In and out in an hour! Everything works great now.

I'm am thrilled with Deschutes Plumbjng. Jason came out as scheduled. He was knowledgeable, thorough and very polite. It's always nice to work with honest businesses. My husband is a retired plumber so he knows the mediocre from the best. This company is the best and I would recommend them without reservation.

Let me start by saying the two plumbers arrived on time, and were friendly and communicative. Before beginning work, they informed me that the company charges by time and materials, and the hourly rate was $125. Was that okay? Yes, I said. They did not say anything about the 1-hour minimum, but I suppose that is standard.

My little job took them 30 minutes, and at the end I was told my bill amount (a little under $250). I was not shown a bill. I handed over my card and was told the bill would be emailed, which it was.

So why not a five-star rating? It's the materials markup. My job required three galvanized parts and one other part. I was charged $43 for the galvanized parts (not itemized beyond that). I happened to be in Home Depot the next day. The RETAIL pricing on those parts was $14.36. So Deschutes Plumbing tripled the RETAIL cost, which likely represents a 5x markup for them.

So it wasn't enough to make $125 (on 30 minutes work, remember) plus $75 (a 2x markup from RETAIL) for the other part, plus a fair markup on the galvanized? Really?? There's a word for that and it isn't credibility-builder.

Amazing service!! I called in the morning with a water heater issue (and no hot water for 24+ hrs) and within a couple of hours Brian and TJ showed up and had the problem fixed! Brian went above and beyond to explain the set up of our system (home purchased recently) and to answer ALL of our questions thoroughly. Brian was very knowledgeable and respectful. His follow up after the appointment to making sure the issue was completely resolved was awesome! Without a doubt we will be calling Brian back for future plumbing needs!
