Listen to the reviews!!! Awful company. We had no water for almost a week. The owner didn't call back, said he'd come out and never showed, finally sent someone, they came to fix it the next day. Did a temporary fix for $500 since ""the part wasn't in"". We then find out he could have gone to the town and got the part for free and done the project correctly. When I confronted the owner, Dave, he YELLED AT ME! Yes, this company feels yelling at women is acceptable. When I confronted him kindly about the part being available and him not taking advantage of that, he yelled things like ""you don't know what your talking about"" ""get that out of your head"" ""NO! NO! You are making stuff up"". How this human has run a business this long is beyond me! When I said ""you are upset because I called you out"" he proceeded to yell ""I don't even want to talk to you"" and hung up on me. Not to mention the workers who came, one was just rude and extremely cranky. So this company took advantage of us not having water. Tried to squeeze as much money out of us as possible. And I will make sure every platform knows this. If you need anything done, CALL DAIGLE!
NOT GOOD. Dave Benedict ripped me off to charge $368 to send 2 guys to be here for exactly 40 mins. in May to: 1) to switch out parts (that I already had) for my dog grooming tub and 2) Pop in 2 guts of window A/Cs because their previous estimate for 2 ductless A/C's then suddenly couldn't be done until SEPT.. I already had the cases in and was 20 mins. for them to just put the guts in. I finished the rest too. I called him to complain that this was exorbitant and his response was, ""do you know how much plumber's get?"". He NOT only lost my business for the ductless but also for 2 toilets, 2 sinks and a jacuzzi tub. (Approx. $22K). I got all squared away with another company.

I had a cracked brass fitting on my well system that was causing a very small leak. The technician diagnosed the problem right away but needed to order a new part. It took about a week for the part to be available and for the technician to return. This was fine since it wasn't an emergency situation. The people I spoke to at the office about scheduling were pleasant and helpful. The technician who came out for the actual repair (Mike) was professional and efficient. He kept me up to date on everything he was doing. After the initial installation was finished, he checked thoroughly for leaks and found one connection that was leaking. He spent another hour or so making sure the job was perfect. I am very satisfied with the work that was performed.

I see your one of those people who like to write false reviews because you did not get your own way. I am ok with your false reviews but you should think before you act. Your warranty with that system is with us. Have a great day

This is the email reply we received from the owner in response to our review. Again his comment regarding warranty could be interpreted as threatening. The only copy of the contract we have, indicated the installation of a different system. The owner insisted on revising that contract but we never received a copy of the revised contract from him per our request. All of the points in our review are supported by emails and witnessed conversations. As far as his comment regarding payment it should be noted that the job was completed on Friday and the 8% balance was mailed on Monday. We don't understand why it's so difficult to receive a copy of the revised contract, name make, model and warranty information on the system that was installed by this company. This just underscores our review and our caution when dealing with this company and owner.
Derry Plumbing & Heating has been amazing to my family! We have had to use them twice in the past 2 months. First was for a new well pump & tank. The owner was so great, explaining everything to us, and quickly sent someone out to take care of it. Not long after that our old water filtration system died and needed to be replaced ASAP. Again, Dave understood my concerns about the water (we have little kids in the house) and handled it as quickly as possible. Even 20 inches of snow didn't stop them from coming out to install an amazing filter! Every time they came they were polite, professional, and answered every question I had (which was a lot!). We have been so pleased by all of their work and absolutely recommend them to everyone!

A few took our calls to schedule for a later time in the week, but Dave was the only one who called me back and made our situation a priority. I am so happy he did that for us. He made us feel important. They took care of my water issue the very next day first thing in the morning. His crew and his teams customer service was great. They were friendly and explained everything really well. I highly recommend this company.
Unprofessional. They never completed our air conditioning installation and blamed it on our thermostat, which they inspected prior to installation. Our electrician is telling us they should have had an electrician assisting during the install. Air conditioner still not working, and according to Dave at Derry Plumbing and Heating it's now my problem, swore and hung up. Do NOT USE DERRY PLUMBING AND HEATING!!
I called this company to replace a kitchen faucet. They sent over two very young men.. one of which was clearly inexperienced.. but they did get the job done. However, they ended up breaking one of the other pipes under the sink so water leaked everywhere including into my basement. The pipe was completely separated from the bottom of the sink. I called them back on Friday night.. and never got a return call. I called them again on Saturday and the owner basically said the pipes where old and had nothing to do with his work. I just had the entire kitchen redone, including all new PVC pipe 8 years ago. I offered to pay for the repair itself.. if he would waive the 69 dollars service fee you pay just for them showing up. He wouldn't even meet me in the middle on this! He was very rude to me, and basically said he wouldn't come over to fix this if I ""threatened"" him with an honest review of these services. Needless to say we won't be using this company in the future and I recommend you stay clear of them as well.
Agree with another reviewer here who commented about poor customer service by the owner Dave. After the work was done at my unit, I called asking for an explanation of the charges and to question why it was higher than what I was lead to believe initially. Dave goes on the offensive from the get go. ""You have a cheap piece of plastic crap called a faucet and you should be glad we repaired it instead of installing a new one""...these are his actual words. Dave needs to be schooled urgently on customer service for sure. Pity the folks who work for him who have to handle such a condescending and foul mouthed boss everyday.
