Dave brings over 30 years of plumbing and heating expertise. With the backing of his wife Michele, he launched Dependable Service Plumbing & Air over 16 years ago. Together, they have two children, Stephen and Mackenzie, and a Cockapoo named Gracie, residing in their Myrtle Beach home.
When he’s not enjoying Seinfeld reruns, Dave spends his time volunteering as a chaplain. Over the years, he has combined his devotion to God and community service with his work at Dependable Service Plumbing & Air.

I had a minor emergency and tried to fix it myself by going to Ace Hardware to buy the parts. Ace didn't have what I needed, but while there, by chance I ran into two plumbers from Dependable. They were very kind, answered my questions, told me where to get what I needed and even refused to take tip. That's pretty rare nowadays. I am not easily impressed, but next time I need a plumber for anything, I'm calling These guys.

I would, and have, recommended Dependable Service to our customers. Their team, from the office to the plumber, has always done an excellent job and our customers have always had great things to say about them. They are available 24/7 for any of your plumbing needs.

Called for an appt. Was told normal windows was 8am-11am. I said I could not do anything past 10am as I had prior commitments or could schedule for another day. I was told that the technician would be there between 8am - 9am Monday morning. I arrived exactly at 8 at the unit. At 8:38 I received the following from their texting system (which I thought was awesome)! - SOME INFO REDACTED (WITH ----) AS IT WAS PERSONAL INFO. Hi, your technician Keith -------- (Rating 5.0/5) from Dependable Service Plumbing is on the way to --------------, Pawleys Island, SC 29585 USA. Track now: https://goo.gl/xsvScX. Call our office for any questions: (843) 979-9977. 8:38 AM I used the tracking and it said technician was 2.1 miles and 8 minutes away. After 35 minutes and still no technician I decided to call the office. I was told the text was sent out too early and the the technician still had not left the office and was still on site. It was now past 9am and I could not wait (especially since I stated I had to be somewhere, that technician would not be there in time). I actually took time off work to meet the technician. The office did apologize for not making the appointment time and I wanted to know if I wanted the service manager to contact me. I said yes, if he calls I will update the review. So far, however, Dependable Service has not been so dependable. And I am a customer in their loyalty program. That is just not the way business should be done. Don't send the 'on their way' text if they haven't left yet and if they can't make the appointment give a courtesy call. Sorry but everyone's time is important. A phone call really goes a long way. I booked another plumber for later this evening.

I don't typically write a review unless I can speak positively about a company. I feel the need however to share as I wish I had known how INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE this company is before they came out to my home.

Great customer service! Dave and the staff at Dependable Service Plumbing were very professional and efficient to work with. They provided the highest quality of service with a quick turnaround. I enthusiastically recommend this company!

AMAZING SERVICE!! We came home to a soaking wet closet floor, and no water damage elsewhere. We debated whether to call a contractor or a plumber, and are so glad we decided on plumber. I was able to make an appointment in the morning and have a technician come out at 1:30. We were sure we'd have to tear up the wall and floor in order to find the leaky pipe somewhere between our bathroom and closet. Luckily, Brian is great at his job and found out that it was a much simpler (and cheaper!!) fix. He also snaked the drain and fixed a stubborn sink while he was here. I ended up signing up for their loyalty club (definitely look into it, it's a great deal), and although I hope not to have plumbing issues, I'm glad to know DS Plumbing will be there to fix any problems that arise.

We have used DS Plumbing over the past years for our plumbing needs and are always pleased with the quality of their work, their responsiveness to our needs, fair pricing and very personable technicians and owners who truly care about their customers. We had our hot water heater begin leaking on a recent Thursday afternoon, made a call to DS Plumbing and on Friday we had a technician come and explain our options, and he began emptying the hot water heater before the actual new heater arrived with the technician who installed it. Couldn't have gone more smoothly plus we were having house guests for the weekend so we were very thankful they could get the job done for us so quickly. Highly recommend.

I have used them once before, but I will never use them again. Long story short, on a Thursday afternoon, we had a leak on a refrigerator ice maker line, so my wife called them to fix. After charging a $59 dispatch fee just to show up, they convinced my wife that it would cost $398 more to stop the leak. Thus, the total bill was $457 to fix a leak. The technician was on site for about 90 minutes. When i received the bill and asked for a breakdown between parts and labor, they refused. (I would guess the parts were less than $20) I asked to speak with a manager and/or have the manager call me. Weeks went by without a return phone call. When I called them again, they refused to provide justification for the excessive billing. Never, never again!!!

Requested an appointment online - got a call back very shortly (on the weekend!) to schedule for early next week. Tech arrived right when he was supposed to, we went over my issues, came up with a plan of attack, and he got to work. I got busy doing other things around the house, and about an hour later asked me to come check things out. Bill was very reasonable, and was written up and emailed to me while on-site. Paid with a credit card on their tablet (very cool!) and he was on his way.

The technician was an hour and half late, did not EVEN call to tell me that he wouldn't be able to come. I left work, drove home, waited for him and then had to go back to work. When he FINALLY came to my house I was back at work. He then called twice letting me know he was at my home by describing my cars and sounded frustrated, as if he were doing me a favor. The front desk should have called and alerted me to the delay, I could have made arrangements. I will it be rescheduling that appointment!!
