Do not use this firm. Here's why: I made arrangements to have an on demand water heater installed three weeks before i was to fly up to my cabin in LIJ (spent nearly a grand doing so) so that I would be present for the installation. The day they were supposed to show they didn't. I got a call late that day telling me they would show the next day at 8:30. Never showed and I had to never got a call back to inform me of why they didn't show. Called over a dozen times with no response until finally Ray called me to let me know someone would be there to install the device before I has to leave for the airport at 3:00. Mack showed up at 1:30 dropped off the device and told me he could not install it today. They have an answering service so it is impossible to speak directly with anyone. They did nit communicate with me and outright lied about the installation and scheduling the work. So here I am out $1,000 in travel expenses and without the device installed. Hire this outfit if you want deplorable communication and complete lack of client service but I would advise you not to.

Dependable? I think not! They were supposed to be at my home at 9am. Nine came and went. No one called to say they were not coming or that they were going to be late. Finally, at 9:45 they showed up. Two men came in and looked at my shower drain...never touched it, and said it would be $350 to try and fix it or $650 to completely replace the drain. So, the next day we called RIDGE PLUMBING 706 258 2304. They called to say they were on the way, they showed up on time. Larry had the drain fixed in 15 minutes and the cost was $95.

Stay away! I called John from Dependable Plumbing about inspecting a septic tank. The price to remove the soil on top of the septic tank and pull the cover off was $450 which I thought was fair and I agreed to the work. However, what I ended up with was a bill for $240 to dig a whole the size of my fist because they said they needed to bring in heavy equipment to remove the top soil and it would cost more. I realize businesses need to make a profit, and I'm all for it, but $240 is absurd to dig a 4 inch wide x 4 inch deep hole. Bottom line is they could not honor their quoted price and I chose not to be held hostage to their tactics!

We had this company come out to resolve an issue with a egg odor coming from our water supply. The tech claimed that the water heater needed a new anode (onsite for less than 1 hour) he replaced the anode and charged us $350.00. This did not have any impact what so ever on the problem. We still have the egg odor and we are out $350 dollars for nothing. Buyer beware! Use this company at your own risk.

Don't use this company without asking for an estimate. Charged me $467 to change pressure switch on pump. A fifthteen minute job!

Austin has been a dream to work with. We needed a new water line from the meter to the house. It was a full days work and they did an awesome job. They came back a week later to install new PVC piping on our downspouts because the old ones were done in corrugated pipe and all that did was clog with leaves. We now have clean-outs at every downspout so we can keep the leaves and twigs cleaned out. Now the water will run away from the house and quit undermining the foundation. I've seen some bad reviews from years past, but they have turned the business around and I highly recommend Dependable Plumbing for any needs you may have. Friendly, honest, on time, great people to work with.

Steer clear of this company, they will most likely charge you with unnecessary charges. My septic tank was leaking out of the ground, contacted them to check it out, the representative informed me that the tank was full and that the drain field was most likely clogged. I asked what i needed to do to fix the issue and was he sure the drain field was clogged. He stated that they would need to do a perk test and i would need to get a permit to make this happen. I asked where i needed to get the permit and he stated """" I'll call and have the office order it."""" He stated that it would cost $200 to pull a permit. I told him that was ridiculous and that I would go pull the permit. The representative stated """" that's not anything to do with us, that's just the cost of the permit."""" I then reluctantly paid him the money to start the process. When the health department came out to do their part, they informed me that the cost of the permit was only $100. Needless to say this upset me and I called the company to ask for my $100 refund and I was informed that they would in fact NOT refund their fee for pulling the permit even when their employee stated that the cost was strictly the cost for the permit. This same company cleaned the septic tank approx. a year and a half previous to this incident and stated that there was a clog between the tank and the house and would need to go get a special tool to unclog it and the additional cost would be another $500 to clear it. The representative came back with a steel rod, pushed it in the pipe for 5 seconds and the clog broke loose (some special tool). Yes, $500 for that one.... Please avoid this company if you don't want to be ripped off.......

I recently had work performed by this Company. We had a water leak in the main line coming into the house. Dependable did show up and the technician did perform a repair. Upon our initial conversation I asked for an estimate and the Dependable Service Rep said it could be up to $400.00. I was thinking because of where the leak was showing up they would need a back hole to get to it. Well it ended up the technician dug the hole with a shovel by our foundation and found the leak at that point, This took all of less than 2 hrs. He did not have the 3/4 elbows needed to affect a proper repair so he used reducers and made up a piece to fit into the line..I imagine the fittings were maybe $15 dollars of the amount charged. When he came in and made out the service report. The estimate became the cost, so we laid out $400 for a repair that took just over an hour and then to top it off he added a fuel charge of $29.95 to the bill. I honored the invoice but if you have this company do any work for you, make sure they are up front with their charges and the work to be performed with cost spelled out before they commence . They did do the work however, I believe the charges were exorbitant.
