Should have read the reviews first but they were the vendor of our HOA. They started off great, they were referred by our HOA, they came out within 2 days, the plumber was great they diagnosed the problem pretty quick, he said he needed to talk to his office for next steps with the HOA. This is where is went south, it took the 45 days to get back in touch with us, at this time they said the HOA said it was our issue to deal with, we said ok what do we need to do. Erick said he would contact the HOA for the main water shut off for the building, they gave me a crazy quote of $600 for $10 parts from Home Depot (plumber told me it was a stock part at Home Depot). They said it was because they needed to drain the system, still do not understand this. Here we are 30 days more and now Erin is telling me he never said he would coordinate with the HOA that's our job, I asked to talk to the owner Jon .... I was told by Erin, Katie and Jen he doesn't return calls he's way to busy. But they are happy for me to coordinate with the HOA, and they will come out and do the work as long as they are available.
They were charging upwards of $600 to change a cartridge, the plumber that actually did it in 24 hours for $200.
So here we are with a 2-bathroom condo and 1 is out of commission because there not doing what they said, DEFINETLY not Dependable

My HOA (which is not easy or fun to work with) uses Dependable Plumbing and sent them out when my hot water went out. They were able to fix that, however it uncovered a whole bunch of other issues the HOA refused to pay for. I went 9 weeks without a shower fighting with the HOA and ultimately had to pay for the issue myself, despite the root cause being the HOA and main pipe issue. I got estimates from 3 other companies since I would be paying the bill, and Dependable was the cheapest option. The technician worked quickly, despite having to leave and drive 20 mins back to the office to pick up a specialized tool (another HOA mishap due to my messed up pipes) and back, and got my shower back up and running.

So here we are 12 years later and for some hare brained reason undependable is still at it. Like clock work every couple months coming out to disrupt our service. They actually replied last time saying it would be done for the long term yet still having mainline blow outs that flood for days where the water district has to get involved. These are the worst plumbers imaginable. I've had work done in my home that was done 20+ years ago and is still solid. The fact of the matter is they don't do quality work and need to keep coming out yo patch their shoddy work.

Grant was great to deal with, very friendly and knowledgeable. He arrived early, knew exactly what to do, and quickly fixed the problem (an overflowing bathroom sink). he was excellent at explaining the plumbing issue to me, and he offered solutions to prevent it from happening again. He also took the time to answer all my questions. I was very happy with the quality of his work and how fast he was able to fix the leak.

In June 2024 a 3"" water Pressure Reducing Valve that serves half the units at Woodlands West in the La Jolla Village area failed. First we contacted another company and they temporarily got some water back to these homes until they could get the proper parts. Then they ghosted us. After wasting a week, we moved on and called Dependable who sent out a tech, created a proposal and upon HOA approval, completed the work quickly and professionally. An outstanding experience that didn't require hand-holding by a board member to insure the work progressed.

Very satisfied with the professionalism, quality of work done mainly by Diego with help from Tony and Patrick. They coordinated with Management for water shut down. Shut down water and drained the system. Provided floor and wall protection in work area. Removed defective pipe, shut off valve and ball valves. Replaced with new pipe and necessary fittings, along with new valves. Restored water, checked operations and cleaned work area. Due to tight location, they had to remove the water heater and flushed the water. The work took about a whole day and before leaving, Diego checked all the faucets and made sure the everything's running smoothly and we had a year warranty on everything he replaced that was good to know. I will definitely use Dependable Plumbing not soon I hope but for a long time in the future.
