Dent under new ownership. Very, very disappointed in its service and recommendation of the problem. High pressure salesmanship by technician I called for repairs. Recommended I needed to spend several thousand dollars for new equipment. I called another air conditioning person. Air conditioner fixed in 15 minutes with a cost of a service call, and nothing needed to be replaced. Always get a second opinion.

I have been a customer for over twenty years and today was the very last time that I will be using Dent . I accidentally cut the low voltage line on one of our units. When the technician came he told me that the capacitor was leaking, the unit was low on Freon and the contactor was pitted and needed replacing. My total bill was over $1000.00 The contactor which wholesales for around $30.00 cost me $298.00. The capacitor, a $20.00 part cost me $189.00 and 3 pounds of R22 was $283.50. On top of that the tech tried to sell me a new unit and told me two different stories about replacing the parts. I am sick about it as the company that I knew and trusted appears to have drastically changed. L.W.

I have been a customer of Dent for at least the past three years and had been pleased with their service and their help with our too common busted pipes saga during extreme cold spells. They came and replaced the busted copper piping with more flexible type piping and insulated the remaining copper piping in our attic. All seemed well until the recent week long cold spell and double winter storm in February. We again experienced what we thought was a busted pipe in my closet which caused extensive water damage and afforded me a 30 minute story feature on channel 12 news. They came in a timely manner but my heart sank when their plumber informed us it was not a busted pipe but a faulty connection between the original copper piping and the new more flexible piping Dent installed back in 2018 which he fixed in about 10 minutes by adding an extender. To make matters worse, the plumbing manager came up with a plethora of excuses why they are not directly responsible for this and refused to even refund the money spent for them to come out for the service call to merely attach an extender. Needless to say our professional relationship has ended and I will be looking for a new plumbing service.

One star is over rating their work. Didn't fix the wall they tore out. The faucet was over a half inch off the wall. They didn't calk. I had a toilet that needed new inside parts. They didn't have them, And the tech was not interested in looking for them.

I regret using Dent to install an A/C Unit so much. Just a horrible experience with them. They rushed through the job and left things incomplete and dirty. They knocked a hole in the side of the house and did a terrible job of repairing it. The unit was installed on a wooden floor for some reason that has yet to be explained and it leaks constantly. I have had to call them back at least four times. If you use them watch them like a hawk and get a second opinion on everything that Barry Dent tells you. At one time I think Dent was a reputable decent company but they have merged with another company and the culture has changed for the worse. I wouldn't be surprised if I don't end up in arbitration with them.

DO NOT USE!!! My name is Leslie Truitt. We called them Saturday because our AC stopped working. A tech came out and charged us $90 to diagnose. Said we needed new conductor and board. Said system was old. Probably cost $600-900.. Would not be able to come out until. Monday to fix. That night got a call fromTommy who said we needed to buy a whole new system for $4500-6000. We said """"no. Just order parts."""" Called Tommy on Monday. He said he hadn't found the parts yet. Called ABCO. They came in 20 minutes. 10 minutes later he soldered the board. Works perfectly. Charged me $80. Called Tommy back and told him I wanted my money back and if not I would post my experience. He didn't. I did.
