Recommended Customer Reviews
I recently switched my heating system from oil to propane and after some research online, I chose Denommee.
Troy was excellent and a pleasure to work with. He followed up on every step from the first appointment until the heat was on and running. Every time I had a question I could call/email/text him and he would respond instantly.
The installers Matt and Taylor worked very hard and did a meticulous job, pleasant and very kind. Tim the project manager was prompt and made sure everything was perfect. Diane at the office followed up on all paperwork and submitted rebates and was just amazing to work with.
Everyone I dealt with was extremely accommodating throughout the project regardless of any complications. They were all very easy to communicate, creative and flexible.
I guess what I most valued was the ability to communicate and interact with humans (no machines messages, prompts and waiting for responses!). They have a business, they all worked hard and did a great job.
Thank you all!
Our water heater failed, and as it was only 4 years old, I called Denommee as they are the local dealer for our brand, believing it to be under warranty. To their credit, they responded quickly. They did however, lead me to believe that it was not under warranty (as I was not the original purchase, it came with our home when we bought it) and that a new water heater would be approximately $1560 installed (flat rate). As we had no hot water and not many options, I agreed.
While their installer was at the home, I contacted the manufacturer, who told me that that unit was indeed covered, and I would only have to pay labor costs. I pointed this out to the plumber, and he contacted their distributor, who confirmed it was under warranty. The plumber told us we would have to pay labor and would be reimbursed the cost of the defective water heater.
Several weeks later, we received a refund in the amount of $462 for the water heater--the whole sale price, meaning that our labor costs were approximately $1100 (the plumber was at our home for exactly 3 hours). When I questioned Denommee about this, they explained that it was because the unit was 4-years old and the reimbursement was ""pro rated"" for use. I contacted the manufacturer again, and they said this was not the policy, that I should only have to pay labor.
When I contacted Denommee (again), they essentially told me, ""Tough, you agreed to our price and this is our policy."" In essence, they charged me for retail installation of a new water heater and reimbursed me wholesale. I repeatedly asked for an itemized bill of their costs, which they refused to provide. They provided a number of specious arguments about their possible future warranty repairs, or some units have problems and take longer, etc. They also said that their labor costs are normally $165/hr, which is roughly $50/hour more than I have ever paid for a plumber, leading me to believe they inflated it afterwards.
I have no complaints with their work, it was professional and the installer was very good. I do object to their deceptive practices and pricing. As with all things, caveat emptor.
Christina P.These guys were great! I had a toilet that had leaked straight through to the floor below. They came out and took a look and assured me that the ceiling would not collapse before they had more time to fix the issue (no charge for this visit since I scheduled the repair). They quickly discovered what was the causing the problem and fixed it very fast. They left my house very clean. I will be using them again if needed.
Samantha J.Was recommended this company. Called to schedule something and didn't even have the opportunity. Right after I asked for a scheduling, the lady on the other end of the phone yelled (she seemed annoyed before I even had started talking) and hung up on me. Not very professional.
Called early on a Thursday morning and asked if they could get someone out to replace three outdoor faucets and repair a leaking pipe inside. They told me that they would get out there the next day between 10 and 12 o'clock. Both women that I spoke to were very friendly and professional, they took all my information and then read back my instructions of the work to be performed to me in detail. They called within one hour and told me that they had a cancellation and could do the job that day. I told them that would be great, that my wife was working from home and they would have access to the house. They were there quickly, the service technician introduced himself and was friendly and courteous. My wife showed him where to go and that was that. He was finished in an hour or two, brought her down to show what was done and then said thank you, good by and left. The work was solid, the area was left as clean as when he arrived, and everything works perfectly. I have used Denommee Plumbing in the past for various jobs, some small, some larger scale and they always come through. I recommend this company to all who ask, and will use them again. Great team effort!!!!!

Denommee plumbing did a great job completing plumbing and HVAC in our home. They stepped up to the plate in a difficult situation and got the job done.. they got us up and running quick & efficiently, their personnel were very courteous and professional and did an excellent job.
My husband and I recently had Denommee Plumbing and Heating install a new furnace, Central Air and a Tank-less water heater system. The whole process was flawless from quotes provided by Ben all the way to explanation of new systems provided by Tim at the inspection.
The install crew showed up on time each day and left the place so clean.
The very knowledgeable administrative team, Diana and Tammy were so helpful with the many questions we had, especially concerning Mass Save Heat Loan Program (of which we receive rebates and a 0% interest loan).
We are extremely satisfied with all services provided by Denommee Plumbing and Heating.
Kind regards,
Jocelyne A.
Guy Denommee and his amazing staff ROCK! They are not only incredibly knowledgeable, they are professional, funny, compassionate and make you feel like family every time you call. Everyone responds quickly whether you call or email. I never have to worry if something is going to be done right when I call Denommee... I know it will be and that is why I give them 5+ Stars!
Tammy A.I can't say enough about the service that this company offers. My first experience with Denommee Plumbing and Heating was a while back! It was an after-hours call. My toilet would not flush. I ended up getting a hold of the vice president Ben. At the time I was a single mom and I told him my story so we dropped everything he was doing and came to my home. I would say it took him about a half an hour to get there! First he used a snake to try to get my toilet unclogged then he had to unbolt it, bring it outside, flush it with a hose only to find out that my cell phone had been pushed off the sink by my cat, ended up in my toilet, and was stuck in the pipe! At this point i needed not only a new toilet, but a new phone! Lol! So this guy proceeds to call his wife, cancels their dinner reservation and runs out to get me a new toilet! I offered to make him a burger or something but he refused. I have to eat with my wife no matter what time I finish! When all was said and done he handed me a bill. It was for the material he used only! I told him he should be paid! His service was amazing and he gave up so much to help me! I gave him the money for the material and he told me he would send me a bill for his time! He wished my son and I a Merry Christmas and left! I never did receive a bill for his time! This year my furnace had high CO levels! It was again right before Christmas! Not to my surprise the owner and vice president were right on it! They even accommodated my payment requests! My son and I had our heat up and running, new system installed within 24 hours of my old furnace failing! This time the owner upgraded my thermostat free of charge! Not too many companies run like this anymore! They treat their customers like family! They do whatever they can to help you out! No waiting three days for a service call! They warranty their work, and I can't say enough about them! Thank you Mr. Denommee! You have one heck of a crew!!!!!
Ok. I have to put a star here...otherwise this place gets a 'no star' rating.
So my air conditioning unit has problems, no more nice cold air pumping into my condo (I have central AC) because the lines had frozen. A friend of mine who does HVAC and plumbing stopped by and added refrigerant to it to test it. I ran it for a day and the lines froze up again. There is a leak somewhere, which he says will cost me in the vicinity of $450. I don't know anything about AC units, but to me that's no cheap fix. I call a few other places to see about the repair and they want to charge me between 90 to 100 dollars just for the visit to figure out what might be the problem. I thank them for the quote and I ask a different friend to take a look at it to avoid the service charge. The friend takes a look and determines it's way over his head and refers me to Denommee. I call them and a woman answers and tells me she can probably send someone over immediately because it's the slow season. She never mentions a cost for him to come out so I'm thinking that this company really wants my business, which is great. A guy from Denommee comes over an hour later to take a look.
I tell this nice man that there is a leak and we need to find it. So he heads out back and plugs a device into the unit and takes a reading. The pressure levels are low...he tells me, there's a leak. I already know this...I ask him if he knows where it is. He says, ""well, to go ahead with the repair its going to cost you upwards of 700/750 dollars."" I'm like Whoa...that's significantly higher than my friends quote. Then I ask him if it's probably just better to get a new one? He says, yeah, probably...it's going on 15 years or so and other stuff will start to go on it. I'm like ok, can you get me a quote? He says sure no problem. It took him less than 5 minutes to get the reading on the AC unit and another 5 to talk to me about the benefits of going new. 10 minutes total.
So from there, he starts taking measurements and jotting down notes to help him get me a quote for a new unit. This took him about 15 minutes as he also had to call his company to talk about the details and figure a price out. So he comes back with a piece of paper with a bunch of numbers and line items: it's going to cost me $4800 he says. When would I like him to start? I thank him for the quote and I tell him I'll need some time to think about it. I want to see if his prices are competitive... $4800 is a lot of money to spend without doing research. Sometimes these companies are trying to capitalize on the desperation of their customers. So he says, ""Oh...well...the service call for me to come out here today costs $155 dollars. However, if you choose us to install your new AC, right now, we can take the $155 off the total cost. "" I'm like, wow... This guy is trying to pressure me into signing on the dotted line by leveraging this $155 charge, which was never discussed with me up front! So I tell him, listen, I was never informed it was going to cost me $155 for you to come out here. Furthermore, you never figured out the true problem of the leak. It took you all of 5 minutes to take a reading from my AC unit. He sees that I'm starting to get agitated and says, well...that's what we charge. Sorry. I tell him I need to speak with his manager and he steps outside to call whomever.
10 minutes later he comes back in to tell me I'll be getting a phone call and I did. It's the woman that arranged the service visit. She says is there a problem sir? I tell her that no one told me there would be a $155 service charge for today's visit. She says, ""well, you never asked."" I then say, ""I think it is good business to inform your customers of what they might or might not be charged. The onus should NOT be on the customer. Don't you think?"" She says, ""well, sir...I don't know what to tell you. That's what we charge."" I then say, ""that's interesting that you charge $155, because I called two other companies that are in this area that charge under $100. I believe you are overcharging your customers, ESPECIALLY when it takes them 5 minutes to perform a reading on a piece of equipment and don't fully diagnose the problem."" She realizes at this point that she can't argue the facts so she gets all huffy and says, ""well, sir, you pay whatever you think the job merits, but we aren't going to do business with you."" I say, ""Is that right now? Well, I'm refusing to pay this service charge as you should have been more up front with your customer. It was a mistake for you to rob me of an opportunity to go with another company that offered a cheaper service charge."" She tells me I can expect a phone call from the president of the company.
I decided to get a quote from my HVAC friend for a new unit and installation and he quoted me a price of $2600; a far cry from $4800. Be warned: it appears that Denommee Plumbing and Heating take unfair advantage of their customers. Research their competitors instead.
