They came out to my house within an hour of calling them, lost my heat the nite before, 52 deg in the house next morning. The tech Chris did his thing with the furnace and had it up and running within a half hour! Yea, heat again! Thanks Chris! Gave me a few pointers on the upkeep etc. He knows his stuff! I'm going to have them give me a quote on replacing my 25 year old furnace. They were very very reasonable in the repair charge. 5 stars! I trust them.

We needed a new water heater because our old one broke and flooded our basement. I got a call back on a Sunday and was assured that they could get me a new water heater Monday morning. Arianna called me bright and early on Monday, and told me David and his crew would be here by 9:00 to put in our new water heater. As promised, they were here on time and switched out our old water heater for the new one. I am extremely pleased with all aspects of this business. Their customer relations are superb!

Great service and more importantly great response time!!
This is the third time I've used their service. Twice for plumbing and this time used for heating Because I was surprised to have zero heat at 6 AM. The techs are professional, knowledgeable and courteous.
What prompted me to leave this review is that I called a competitor that actually installed the unit for me years ago and In my opinion, I feel was given the runaround with no specific time line for service.
When you have no heat in your house is 50° and it's 20° outside, it's fair to say response time becomes pretty important. I will continue to utilize Demelo for all my plumbing and now heating needs. Great job!

Filled out a service request through their website, never received a response but got an email advertising for furnace tune ups which is what I wanted, so I called them...no response. They must be doing a good business if they can turn away customers.

I called four different plumbers in the Hudson area and Demelo's was the only one that could come and do a same day repair. The rate was $120 per hour which I can understand for emergency service. That's where the good rating stops. All I needed was a repair/replace shower valve. They did not have the parts to repair the valve, so they had to go get the parts. The plumber was gone for close to 2 hours getting the parts but actually only worked on the valve replacement for less than 30 minutes. I got soaked with a $415 repair bill. I shouldn't even give this two stars. Never again,

Rich is a nice guy and the physical work that he and his installers did for the most part was good. That being said, the complete ignorance of the staff manager (Dianna) on how to handle Mass Save rebate forms delayed our rebate receipt for 10 months (over $3k on a huge system). Countless phone calls to her (many of them moderately to extremely unpleasant) because of her and Demelo's complete ignorance on everything from which form to fill out to what the actual model number was of the unit they installed (on three separate forms she used three different serial numbers, none of which were the actual number printed on the boiler or air handler). We had them install a complete new system - heat pump/AC and new oil boiler. Nothing about it came off smoothly. Thermostat for the system was put in an atrium with skylights which later was moved (after I was charged an extra $350 for installation of an extra vent that was supposed to mitigate the effects of the heat) - Rich said that he hadn't thought about how the skylights would effect this and didn't charge me for the moving of the thermostat (but did not give me a refund for the useless vent). One of his installers smelled bad. Every time. Nice guy. Smells bad. Same person tried to charge me for a new baffle that didn't work the first time I tried to use it (offered to charge me and then ""remembered"" that he could just flip it over and use the other side). Then they had NO idea how to use the $350 wireless thermostat I bought. No help with adjusting it until one of their techs came to the house and then called Bryant (who wouldn't give the information to a customer - only to a tech). no explanation of how the boiler worked substantially differently than the old one we replaced (high efficiency means it doesn't make temperature swings of more than a degree quickly at all) - when I did finally get Rich on the phone he was unpleasant at best. All in all this was an awful experience. I gave two stars only because one of their techs, Josh, was excellent and the physical work they did was clean and has worked well for almost a year with no issues. I have heard that the office manager is no longer with the company which is a relief.

The entire team was professional and courteous from beginning to end, as well as clearly knowledgeable about their work.

While we were not eligible for some of the MassSave incentives, I was impressed with their understanding of the programs during our first call. From there I felt very comfortable with the onsite 'sales call', he was very clear on expectations and what would make sense for our specific needs.

They showed up on time, and started working right away - and gave me updates as the morning went along. They did a good explaining some of the things they were doing, and what they still had remaining to do.

The one last piece of feedback I want to give DeMelo was something I was quite impressed with during the onsite 'sales call'. It is often said the little things are what matter and help to land a deal, and while a small gesture - the other employee in the truck made quite a bit of difference and it certainly factored into our decision making. He noticed we had 3 kids running around the yard/driveway while we were discussing the approach and units. He then called me over to ask me where the 3rd went before letting the driver back down the driveway because he was no longer in anyone's view (he had gone inside). It says a lot about the people they employ, and their values as a company. Those are the exact type of people/companies we prefer to deal with.
