Pros.
Service requested was as asked for. I do think the installation was correct and complete. JM and his partner were very well mannered, kind, someone anyone would like. As any employee is expected to be after they work very hard for some kind words. And were willing to work in a tight space and with a few tweaks at no charge. I appreciate what they did on short notice.
Cons
DM only quoted me over the phone, based on a few pictures and some rudimentary measurements without even coming to see the project in person. Which would have another week because of a different setup. DM expects a customer to read a huge approval agreement (8 pages long) and the invoice (3 pages long ) on a tiny little iPhone. (Small tablet better ?) Which I zoomed in as best as i could, and would take hours to read. Im trying to get it installed that day, and thats my fault for waiting, i signed in the tiny little box, and that was the only thing zoomed in on. I did not realize it was a DIY job as long as the person has knowledge. But it is done and over. Thank you.

Customers Beware!
This company is a contractor for Home Depot. My water heater started leaking and I sent a request to get a quote. Delta called me and we went over all the information of replacing it...(Where my old water heater was located (2nd Floor), what the height was). We agreed on a quote of around $1,900. $800 for new water heater and $1200 for labor is what it came out too. I'm at work but my wife and kids are home when they arrive for installation. Delta workers arrive and says it's going to cost extra $400 more due to the new water heater being 3" inches taller. My roof would have to be adjusted. The installer moved some boards and added sealant to cover the spot. I feel the adjustment was the installers job, not an extra cost to add $400 to my bill. At the end of the day I ended up paying around $2,200.
A good company would have made the adjustment without the extra charge and kept a customer for life. Rather than up charge the customer and lose future business and references.

I have hired a lot of contractors over the past year getting 2 houses on the market and sold. Delta Mechanical has set a new low bar for poor service. Home Depot should absolutely never use this company again as I now have a bad taste in my mouth for them as well.
My one day install of a water heater that I called for at 7:30 am is not done at 8pm and they will have to come back tomorrow to finish.. They flat out told me I needed things for code that I do not need and the $299 install that Home Depot advertises has ballooned to close to $1000. I knew it would be more that $299 but not that much more especially when they did not finish the job the same day.
Reuben the supervisor was totally unhelpful so I will take the matter up with Delta Mechanical and Home Depot's corporate offices.
Incredibly bad all the way around from sending a worker on his first job, and without all the parts and tools he needed, through Reuben the supervisor who was more concerned with being upset with his worker than taking care of a customer.

I arranged through home depot in Austin, to have someone install a new dishwasher, faucet, garbage disposal. It's 'new' plumbing, i.e. hot/cold lines just stubbed out from floor. I was clear with what I needed doing, I even sent a picture for the visual of stubbed pipes.
A guy came out around 4PM- said basically he had no idea it was all new, they really don't do that kind of thing, he would have to go to town to get a part, they didn't drill holes in things (water line) I told him I was happy to, if he had a drill bit, I'll charge up my drill. He talked over me. Actually by the end of it, I just wanted these guys OUT of my house. I didn't trust them to do the work. When I pulled out the dishwasher, he called his supervisor again and said it would be another $150 on top of the $478 to install everything. Even I know that's absurd. So I said no thank you and they left.
Home Depot was very apologetic, said they'd get it taken care of, etc..there was obviously some miscommunication. I set up another appt. for three days later. Apparently NOW they needed to actually SEE it to give me a quote. Monday rolls around, I arranged my day to be available from 8-2 and it's a no show. No call. No nothing. So I called at 3:30 - apparently someone else had an emergency that was being taken care of and they didn't know when someone could be over.
So that was it. I said please cancel my order. I've had it. Called another company, a local smaller operation - they are coming over tomorrow, much nicer and charging $450. Delta Mechanical has a LOT of work to do with it's customer service and attitude of contractors.

I have two Rinai tank less water heaters one of them is not working (has error code 12-flame failure) but the other one is still working. I have contacted Renai and validated that our heaters are still under warranty by Rinai. RInai also instructed us to call a Rinai certified technicians from their technicians list (on Rinai's web site) to come to our house to diagnose the problems which cause flame failure then call Rinai for parts. Rinai also informed us that the Labor cost is no longer under warranty because our units have been more than one year old. Since Delta Mechanical Inc. is on Rinai's technician list we called them and told them we need their diagnoses and contacting Rinai to get the parts to fix the not working water heater unit. Over the phone they agreed to do that and promised to send their best technician over whose name was Spencer. When Spencer came he had no tool whatsoever with him, he went to our attic, looked at our Rinai water heater unites for few minutes and told me that those units need to be replaced, and cannot be fixed. When I asked Spencer why it cannot be fixed? His said that he saw water in the pan underneath the heater it indicated that the heaters have been leaking. When I asked him from where of the unit the leak has coming from? He could not answer my questions and became irritated and told me to seek other advisers. Then he gave me the estimate quote of $6,000.00 to replace the two water heater units. Then I asked him why should I need to replace two units since only one is not working? Spencer said: the working one will quit working soon; otherwise it costs $3,800.00 to replace one unit. The next day my husband inspected the heater units to determine where the leak was coming from and he could not find any leak from the units themselves, while he was doing that it rains then he found out that the rain water leak through the unit's vents from the roof. He then did some research on the Internet and found some posts on how to fix the Rinai's flame failure error code-12 which can be caused by water wetting the water heater's burner. My husband then cleaned and dried the water heaters' burners, now our Rinai water heater is working fine. Delta Mechanical Inc. charged us $100.00 service call in advance for doing nothing but gave us the estimate of replacement cost of $6,000.00. We can get this estimate for free from any heater dealers. When I call Delta Mechanical Inc. and ask for the refund of $100.00,since did not do as they were hired to do, the manager threatened me that she will call Rinai to inform Rinai that our water heaters was install improperly so Rinai will cancel our warranty. Delta Mechanical Inc. is a crook, a theft beware of their scams.

I purchased a new toilet for my mother from Home Depot in January 2012. Upon purchasing the toilet we also bought installation for an additional $69, which would be provided by Home Depot's preferred plumbing contractor. The installation of the service was provided by the local Houston office of Delta Mechanical, Inc.
The initial installation of the toilet went smoothly, or so we thought. The plumber who installed the toilet said everything went well, and that there were no issues, we'd be able to use the toilet 24 hours after the caulking dried.
Upon inspection of the installation the following day, we noticed that the plumber who installed the toilet did not install the toilet using both floor bolts/screws as required. He installed one bolt on the left side base of the toilet, but simply filled the second screw hole on the right side of the toilet with caulk and placed the cap on.
Seeing this, we requested that Delta Mechanical send another plumber out to finish the job as promised. Several weeks later another plumber arrived in February 2012. He told my mother that he would have it fixed in a few minutes. However, he didn't fix the issue, he just tried to make it look like he did.
Instead of removing the toilet to put the second bolt in as needed, he simply cut a bolt, screwed it in to the cap, put caulk on it and shoved it in the bolt hole from the top side of the toilet. He then assured my mother several times that is how you could do it.
So two separate plumbers from the same company tried to trick us in to believing they had performed their job as promised. The second of which lied to us directly. One would think that if they were going back to fix a bad installation they'd make sure to do the job right, but they chose to lie to us instead.
I have no doubt, if they could do it twice in one house, that they can and probably do it elsewhere.
EDIT - As of 27 FEB 2012 Delta Mechanical had correctly installed the toilet and refunded the full price of installation. They did however, lie yet again during their third and final trip. The master plumber they sent tried to convince us that they had told us originally that we needed a new flange for the toilet. They told us no such thing.
A woman also called to verify the name and address for the refund but was extremely rude when doing so. Probably because of this negative review here on Yelp and the fact that I had reported them to the Better Business Bureau. I did not request a refund at any time, I simply wanted the toilet installed properly as paid for.
