Took 5 Months - FIVE - to resolve a water heater installation that didn't pass inspection.

Avoid Home Despot installation and you'll avoid this ""installer"".

Terrible customer service. I called to have them come out to fix my ac unit through home depot. They said they would come out next week. We waited and they call the day of the appointment and said an emergency came up and we are unable to make it. I reschedule for 2 days later. They said they could come out then. Next day same thing happens. I get a call saying an emergency has come up again, we need to reschedule. They said next time they could come out was another week from now. Are you serious. That is crazy. I am trying to find out why my ac doesn't work and possibly buy a new unit and they cant keep a decent schedule. I was a potential customer of a new ac unit and furnace and they cant keep they own appointments. I would definitely recommend not using these guys for anything not even a clogged sink. I am quite surprised home depot works with them in any kind of way. Even though on there flyer they don't mention there name. Phone number matches up though. When you call they say your approved home depot provider or some crap like that.

This company is an installer....period. There is no accountability for diagnostics or customer satisfaction. It is another Home Depot horror story. Home Depot doesn't want to be held liable for anything, so why go through their installer? Find your own. Buy the product from someone who will care if there is a mistake. I purchased a hot water heater from Home Depot less than a year and a half ago to replace one I'd purchased 5 years earlier from them. I live in a condo on the top floor with the hot water heater outside in a closet. A couple of weeks ago I noticed a stream of water coming out of the closet. I called GE. They had me look to see if there was water in the window (which there was not), and then to turn off the heater to see if there was still water coming out. There was water coming out of the closet still (unit had no water pan), so they recommended a replacement, and told me to go to Home Depot and start the replacement process. Home Depot put me on the phone with Delta Mechanical, who came out the next day. After the installer removed the unit, he told me to meet me at Home Depot to return the old unit and get credit towards a new one. I met him at the store and noticed the back of the water heater was smashed in. He said it feel off of the truck. I paid $200 bucks toward a new water heater, and then over $500 to have the new one installed. A day and a half later as I was going to work I saw water coming out of the closet again. I called Delta Mechanical and they sent a guy out to look at it. The installer told my wife that the water was coming from the wall, and he could not believe the first guy missed it. I had to call a plumber to come out and cut a hole in the wall, and fix the leak. I then had to get a restoration company to come out and take the hot water heater out and rip out the walls to dry the building. I am going to have to pay again for another installation of this same water heater. I called Customer Service at Delta Mechanical and explained this entire thing. I asked them to re-install this water heater when I had the place dried out. They said, sure but they'd have to charge me full price. They are not a diagnostic company. DON'T TAKE THE CHANCE!

PLUMBING THE DEPTHS
Calling this [plumb]ing company will make you want to flood your own house to drown your sorrows or end your misery. Their phone system leaks: they put you on interminable holds, offering you a live person every 5 minutes or so, just to keep you in the game. None of these people can help you, understand you, or operate the phones well enough to connect you with the right dept.
In the interim, you are regaled with numbing promotional recordings, some of which are in rhyme -- 'cause for all your plumbing needs nothing beats a poet with a monkey wrench.
Total elapsed time on hold: 16', 33"".
By the time I put the phone down, I didn't know whether to expect a leak in my speaker or a crack on my screen. And you know which kind I mean.
This is the firm handling Home Depot's plumbing installations, which puts THE END to dealing with Home Depot for anything related to water. But when poetry is what you crave, you can call in for some fulsome, relaxing readings from Delta Mechanical.
If you are wondering where they got their name, look to the Nile: DM was one of the biblical plagues of Egypt. In fact, I suspect they were responsible for the pharaoh's chariots going under water, and rumor has it they caused Noah's flood.

Purchased a toilet from Home Depot and the installation was handled by Delta Mechanical. Miguel completed the job at the scheduled time in thirty minutes! This included three trips back and forth to his truck to the second floor of the residence. I've never seen a toilet installed so quickly! A+ to Miguel and Delta Mechanical.

Water heater blew out Sunday morning. Within 1.5 hours, they were on-site and cranked it out throughout the day. It was a very tough install, in a 100+ year old home in Mission Hills. The guy they sent was honest, nice, had a pleasant sense of humor, and all around a great human being who worked for the majority of his Sunday to install a hot water heater and all new parts in our home so our family could have the comfort of hot water again. Pricing was reasonable and we only paid $100 more for having them be there on a Sunday.

All this is in stark contrast to a local Mission Hills plumber who we had difficulties with on a smaller project earlier in the week.

I had a water heater installed by DELTA MECHANICAL through Home Depot. The service technician was professional during installation. When he departed, I cleaned out the water heater compartment and noticed dents on the top and further inspection revealed that there is dent on the side as well. The center column right below the draft hood also shows signs of either it was used but definitely not brand new. In good faith, and we have paid for the water heater and the service fee but we feel ripped off because we received damaged goods. Imagine just paying $1,600 plus for something that is not in perfect out of the box new condition. It is hard enough to find an honest company for such services and this situation really just makes me not trust future services for repairs as such. This was definitely a waste of time for all concerned. This was a rare weekend that I did not have to work and now I definitely would have to ask for a day off just to fix this issue. We will ask for a new unit for we do not trust the condition of this unit. This is truly unethical for if the service technician did not tell me of the issue, it makes me wonder if this is a trend. An honest customer becomes a victim.

We needed our duct work changed out because we had the old asbestos insulated kind and I broke one of the ducts when I was working in the attic. We knew it was going to be expensive... So we wanted to go through Home Depot if possible because they have great financing terms. (18 months no interest)... The first company they sent was one of the bigger outfits in town. They have the blue vans you see everywhere. They wanted over 4 thousand bucks. Then I heard there's a smaller outfit that Home Depot uses when the big company won't take a job. Like if you're in Fallbrook or Alpine. So... Delta Mechanical came out... Really nice. Really knowledgeable. Spent a lot of time going over the requirements. A different company hauls away the asbestos and the first companies estimate required me to pay them separately. Delta worked it into my total bill so it could be financed together. I asked if they could connect my 2 bathroom vents to the exterior vents in my attic. They included that. And then they explained I was basically missing a vent on the far side of my living room that was causing my house to not cool efficiently. He said he could add it for 2 or 3 hundred bucks. But I said I'd think about it, because I wasn't sure he wasn't just upselling me. So the total quote for everything was... Twenty two hundred! Almost HALF! and here's the kicker. Before he left, he said he'd throw in the extra vent because he really believed it'd make a big difference and he didn't want to do the job only half way. And he was right, too! The house totally cools better. I wish I could remember his name, but it was a year ago. Thank you, Delta!

My husband and I used Delta Mechanical to replace Quest pipes in our townhome. They did a great job installing new pipes. We ran into a few issues along the way (needed new drain, valves, etc.) but the technician was upfront and helped us find solutions that did not cost a fortune. Very pleased with the final product. They patched up all the drywall and brought it to texture. You can't even tell we had a ton of holes cut in the walls.

Another Home Depot installation story......

Wonderful when they came to disconnect the sink and toilet so I could have tile done.

However, I called to schedule the reconnect, and someone new came out the next day. Apparently who ever took the call and scheduled the reconnect only put down the sink and not the toilet, despite me mentioning both when scheduling (and the fact that they disconnected both). When the person arrived they said the toilet was not on their schedule so they would just be doing the sink. In the end, they needed a part they didn't have to reconnect the sink so they said they were rescheduling for the next day.

Since the sink needed a part, I asked them to reconnect the toilet. I had to call customer service (since it was not listed in the guy's to-do) where they told me they had no record of ever disconnecting the toilet so they would not be reconnecting the toilet. I am baffled as I watched the guy do it and had even written down a part he recommended for me to buy from them to have a more updated piece put in when the reconnect occurred.

Their solution is sending back the person who disconnected to reconnect. We'll see what happens. Meanwhile I had taken off work and just wasted 2 hours for all this to occur.

DO NOT USE THEM! Obviously they are poorly organized.
