Had a 13 year old leaking water heater that was simply due for a replacement. Went through Digital Mechanical Inc (a 3rd party contractor for Home Depot). They were very responsive and they were able to get me in first thing the very next day since I inquired late in the day. My service technician, Joshua, was prompt, professional and efficient. I was concerned at first as he was by himself, but I was very impressed by his work ethic. He was courteous, knowledgeable and brought his A game as a did a very thorough job taking out the old water heater, installed new metal earthquake straps, replaced sediment trap and installed the new heater without any issues. Had the unit installed, cleaned up around the work area and took the time to explain the features. Gave some pro tips and I never felt rushed. So great to have hot water again, especially on a cold rainy day. Joshua definitely knows his stuff and exemplifies a 5 star service. Great job!

I'm being generous; I believe the installation of 2 toilets was satisfactory, however one toilet was running continuously after he finished and I had to get him to come back. He said he fixed the problem and left. The toilet kept running after being flushed, and I had to call Delta. A different mechanic arrived, and solved the problem. In addition, the boxes that one toilet came in were not removed.

The technician did a good job installing the water softener. However, the thing lacking is instruction on how to install salt, what kind of salt, how much is needed and how to know when the softener is working. I had to go to the web to find answers. For 650.00 to install a water softener, I would imagine that Delta mechanical should have better educated or trained the technician to deal with the customers ignorance about the equipment they purchase. Not so sure if I would use Delta mechanical ever again.

I shopped water heaters, found the best for me, and called the Home Depot installation line to check out installation prices. Brian from Delta called back within the hour, reviewed what would be needed, advised me on local codes, and gave me a price over the phone. No pressure to sign up so I checked with another local guy who was higher priced and sounded whiny, so I called Brian back and we set the install date. I later had to change the date and had no problem doing so. On install day the Delta installer Luis called in advance, showed up in a Delta truck with the right product and made quick work of my replacement. Besides being a joy to talk with, he took away the old tank and left a clean work space. I'm very pleased.

My technician, J. Austin, was extremely efficient and customer focused. The garbage disposal unit he installed was done correctly and quickly and this really impressed me. In addition, he cleaned up after he completed the job with having to be asked. Also, he was very personable. Overall, he did an outstanding job and Delta Mechanical is lucky to have employee like J. Austin representing them. I hope this information is shared with this employee.
