I called Delk Plumbing for my toilet that kept running, They came and looked at it and told me it was a rare toilet (Jacuzzi brand) and they did not have the part on their truck they would have to order it. They charged me $49 service call and did nothing. Told me they would call me back with a price and a date they could do the work. 6 weeks later still had not heard from them, I called them to inquire, The receptionist told me she had been out for a year and the replacement let it slip thru the cracks. she said she would check on the estimate and let me know. A few days later she called and said they could fix it for $175 but would not charge me the service call again, nice of them right? I ordered the flapper from Amazon for $22 with free shipping the exact part and put it on my self, they were going to charge me $175. Not impressed with this company!!

Delk came in and reworked our plumbing from our washer. They never patched the big ugly hole they put in the wall. We had the water turned off for 6 months while we were away and when we came back to the condo our downstairs neighbor complained of a bad leak coming from the ceiling under our laundry area. We called another plumber because our warrantee was expired from Delk. He opened the wall and found fittings that were not properly crimped, one hose was only crimped half way on. We were told from the new plumber that all the other fittings that Delk had put in Were going to need replacing as well. We called Delk just to let them know how bad their plumbers were and of our troubles (having to replace the drywall in the downstairs neighbors house as well as ours) hoping they would at least apologize....the woman on the phone said nothing at all. They just don't care. Beware of this contractor.

We have a tankless water heater installed by Delk plumbing. The hot water heater had a problem and it took several calls and several visits before they figured it out and finally fixed the problem. We ended up calling out and paying a different plumbing company to check it out. We were told by the second opinion that the water heater wasn't installed up to code because Delk never grounded it when they installed it. Sloppy work. Not recommended at all. As you can see by other reviews this is not a one time only situation. Also they left huge holes in my wall when installing the hot water heater.

Wow, I'm not sure why this business has such low reviews. I had a kitchen faucet replaced earlier in the year and the crew that arrived was super courteous and installed the faucet quickly. Fast forward 6 months and the faucet still works great. One of the gentleman that did the installation also gave me some helpful tips about the type of faucet I purchased (I pre-purchased it), including the manufacturer's lifetime warranty. He recommended that I scan the receipt or photocopy it before it fades and keep it on hand. At any time (even 50 years from now) if there is a fault with the faucet the manufacturer will replace it. Since I know nothing about plumbing (I'm a new home owner) this little bit of useful information has gone a long way. The only reason that this business is not receiving 5/5 stars is the slightly different cost I was charged instead of the quote I received over the phone. For a simple installation that required no additional work the original quoted price should have been the final cost. Fortunately, the price difference wasn't much, but I still would recommend a more fixed price from the outset.

Unfortunately Delk Plumbing is who our rental property company and/or property owner uses so I had no choice but to have them come out. 1st visit: The Delk employee was not enthusiastic about his job, he huffed and puffed about the work and clearly would have rather been elsewhere. He snaked the line from the inside out and left, leaving his garbage and sewage covered rags behind for me to clean up. 22 days later sewage was backing up into the toilet and tub again. The property maintenance manager was not pleased to hear the news remembering Delk had just been out. I explained how the 1st visit went and that if it were my property I wouldn't hire them again, but regardless of my input they hired Delk to come out a 2nd time. Knowing I didn't cause the clog and that I'd have to pay the bill if I did, I agreed to have them out. 2nd visit: The two Delk employees that showed up were friendly and this time they snaked the drain from the outside sewage line. When asked what came out of the drain they told me on site it was a wad of toilet paper and that I should """"courtesy flush."""" I asked if I needed to sign anything and was told no and they left. Five weeks later the same problem happened again. At this point I find out the report from the 2nd visit Delk made, the one they filled out after leaving the property and the one I asked if I needed to sign, stated feminine hygiene products were the cause of the 2nd clog. In turn the rental company charged me the $190. The rental company wanted to have Delk out a 3rd time and I immediately declined, it was clear they didn't have the knowledge to realize 4 floods in 3 months wasn't normal. They also clearly couldn't be trusted to write an accurate report, I haven't purchased tampons in 7+ years, hadn't had any female friends over for 8+ months and I'm smart enough to know what does and doesn't go down the toilet. I spent $300 on hiring a different plumbing company; one that wasn't affiliated with the rental company or myself. He suggested using a camera and immediately saw that roots had been growing in the line, thus catching the toilet paper when flushed. When he snaked the line foliage and toilet paper flowed out. I contacted the tenants that resided in the home before me and they informed me they experienced the same flooding issues and that the rental company and the plumbing company already knew about the roots from 3 years ago and were told without proper repair the problem would come back. I have not yet been able to confirm that Delk Plumbing was who originally discover the roots years ago, but during this whole fiasco I was told by the property owner how trustworthy and great Delk is which leads me to believe they have been using them a number of years. Delk Plumbing was recently sent out again by the rental company due to busted fittings on the water line, after the repairs the plumber attempted to get me to sign the paperwork, which I politely declined to do due to the rental company charging me previously, but I did record the conversation the plumber and I had about why I wouldn't sign the paperwork in case it was needed in court when I sue the property owner to recoup the $190. During the conversation I state that I didn't have to sign the last time and the Delk employee responded that the previous plumber was not doing his job if he didn't have me sign. All in all the rental company, property owner and Delk plumbing are not trustworthy, but if it hadn't have been for Delk's false report none of this would have unraveled to begin with. Heed my warning.

Charged me $800.00 to install a water heater located in my garage. Took less than 2 hrs to do. Even with a charge of dumping my old water heater this is robbery. Asked for a detailed invoice and never received one.

Terrible. They gave us a quote to do a job. We had to sign a contract, email it to them and give them a deposit of half the cost before they would start. They came out & dug for a few minutes then left and said the job was misquoted and the cost would be almost 3 TIMES AS MUCH as the original quote they gave us. I asked them if they thought I was born yesterday. The water was off so I guess they thought they had us over a barrel and we would agree to any price. I told them we would find someone else to do the job. We did find someone else who did it for much less than the 2nd quote they gave us. It took weeks & several phone calls to get our original deposit returned to us. The gal who answers the phone kept giving excuses about why they hand't return the money yet but they finally did. I would never use them again under any circumstances.

We had a water heater installed about a year ago. One of the guys slammed his finger in the process and was cussing and cursing through the rest of the installation. The water heater sits in the attic of our town home and since we had hot water we never worried about it after the installation was complete. Fast forward one year and we're trying to sell the town home. Everything went fine during the inspection until he got to the water heater. It's sitting crooked, the vent doesn't line up, the pan is too small, it's secured improperly and it's probably leaking carbon monoxide. Yikes! We called Delk and asked them to fix it. The guys that installed our water heater are no longer with the company. They sent two other guys to look at it and after wispering back and forth for a while refused to fix the problem, claiming 'although the guy in charge of the installation has screwed up from time to time he did install this one right'. He even had the nerve to try to charge me for a service call. What a joke!!! Do NOT hire Delk Plumbing if you want the work to be done properly!

I inquired via Delk's website to have a gas line added for an outdoor natural gas grill. First, they emailed me back and wanted my phone number. Then I had to continue reaching out to them for a week. They eventually said that they could send some one out on Wednesday. Wednesday came and went, I emailed again and no response. Eventually I gave up on emailing, as it didn't seem to be a convenient way for them to communicate. After a few calls they were able to send a technician to my home to give me a quote. The tech was nice, but I was hesitant to do business with them at this point considering my frustration in dealing with their office. I waited to get a quote from Plumb Pros. Even though the quote from Plumb Pros was a little more expensive I went with them because of my experience with Delk's office staff.

Interestingly, the only review on this site is 5 stars and is written by the owner, Terry Delk. Be very cautious of this company. I had a very routine leak in a pipe in my kitchen, cause by a siding nail. They quoted me a $5,000 whole house repipe stating I had copper pipe that was corroded in my slab. I had no copper pipe and no pipes were in my slab. Once I found the leak myself, it took 15 minutes to repair the pipe. Because they had already charged my credit card, I had to contest it with the credit card company just to get my money back. I still never got an explanation as to why they quoted me the worst case scenario, but in the end the owner and I decided to part ways. I will not be using them again.
