Terrible. They gave us a quote to do a job. We had to sign a contract, email it to them and give them a deposit of half the cost before they would start. They came out & dug for a few minutes then left and said the job was misquoted and the cost would be almost 3 TIMES AS MUCH as the original quote they gave us. I asked them if they thought I was born yesterday. The water was off so I guess they thought they had us over a barrel and we would agree to any price. I told them we would find someone else to do the job. We did find someone else who did it for much less than the 2nd quote they gave us. It took weeks & several phone calls to get our original deposit returned to us. The gal who answers the phone kept giving excuses about why they hand't return the money yet but they finally did. I would never use them again under any circumstances.

Dusty came out and gave us a quote of 200+ for re plumbing a new kitchen sink and 1500ish for running a gas line to a new cooktop. When the 2 guys came out to do the repair they said that they could not do the gas line because they saw some feces under the house and were scared of a possible animal attack. They also told us that they could not do the kitchen sink until we had someone remove the exterior siding of the house and that it would be very expensive to replumb. They did connect 2 bathroom sinks charged us 200 for that. The sinks were leaking after they left, but our brother fixed it. We did not even want them back in our home. We called CC Myers and Andy came out and did both jobs ..the re plumbing (did not have to tear the siding off the hours and it works great) and ran the gas line for less than the 1500 they quoted us for the gas line only. Do not recommend this company at all. I see from the reviews that it is common to have a bad experience with this company.

We had a water heater installed about a year ago. One of the guys slammed his finger in the process and was cussing and cursing through the rest of the installation. The water heater sits in the attic of our town home and since we had hot water we never worried about it after the installation was complete. Fast forward one year and we're trying to sell the town home. Everything went fine during the inspection until he got to the water heater. It's sitting crooked, the vent doesn't line up, the pan is too small, it's secured improperly and it's probably leaking carbon monoxide. Yikes! We called Delk and asked them to fix it. The guys that installed our water heater are no longer with the company. They sent two other guys to look at it and after wispering back and forth for a while refused to fix the problem, claiming 'although the guy in charge of the installation has screwed up from time to time he did install this one right'. He even had the nerve to try to charge me for a service call. What a joke!!! Do NOT hire Delk Plumbing if you want the work to be done properly!

Wow, I'm not sure why this business has such low reviews. I had a kitchen faucet replaced earlier in the year and the crew that arrived was super courteous and installed the faucet quickly. Fast forward 6 months and the faucet still works great. One of the gentleman that did the installation also gave me some helpful tips about the type of faucet I purchased (I pre-purchased it), including the manufacturer's lifetime warranty. He recommended that I scan the receipt or photocopy it before it fades and keep it on hand. At any time (even 50 years from now) if there is a fault with the faucet the manufacturer will replace it. Since I know nothing about plumbing (I'm a new home owner) this little bit of useful information has gone a long way. The only reason that this business is not receiving 5/5 stars is the slightly different cost I was charged instead of the quote I received over the phone. For a simple installation that required no additional work the original quoted price should have been the final cost. Fortunately, the price difference wasn't much, but I still would recommend a more fixed price from the outset.

I inquired via Delk's website to have a gas line added for an outdoor natural gas grill. First, they emailed me back and wanted my phone number. Then I had to continue reaching out to them for a week. They eventually said that they could send some one out on Wednesday. Wednesday came and went, I emailed again and no response. Eventually I gave up on emailing, as it didn't seem to be a convenient way for them to communicate. After a few calls they were able to send a technician to my home to give me a quote. The tech was nice, but I was hesitant to do business with them at this point considering my frustration in dealing with their office. I waited to get a quote from Plumb Pros. Even though the quote from Plumb Pros was a little more expensive I went with them because of my experience with Delk's office staff.

Service was awesome!! Great communication to let us know they were coming early. Had a small gas leak and Mike had it fixed in no time. He also took the time to show me some other common potential future issues around the house and what basic maintenance I could do to avoid them. Friendly and fast, more than fair pricing. I will definitely be using them again for any future plumbing needs.

I had a very long and drawn outexperience w/ Delk Plumbing. They have a sign up that they were voted Best in th Summerville Journal Scene best of the best for 2013 and some before. My experience lacked a lot. The 2 men who came to install a kitchen faucet did an OK job and also relpaced the seal in a tolilet I had tried to fix w/o success. I decided to have them replace a toilet that had a crack in the tank that I was worried would one day fall to p[ieces and levae me with a watery mess. They didn't have anything on the truck that day to replace my toilet with so I set an appointment for the following week. When they returned the next week they had an elongated toilet and a regular seat and treid to give me the short seat for an elongated toilet because it was only a little short. I refused, Wouldn't anyone else? They had to go and get the correct seat. These guys had done a good job the week before so I didn't watch every move anf that was my big mistake. The toilet wasn't ground level and no grouting was put around the edges of the toilet where it met the floor. When I went to sit on the toilet after they had left the toilet rocked back and forth and I almost fell off in the floor. It wasn't level as I had said and that's because the wax ring wasn't trimmed correctly. If I pushed on the toilet seat the whole thing rocked, rollled, and phantom flushed. I called the next day and had to set up an appt. for the next week due to limited time off and so no use of the toilet for that time period. When two different workers showed up the next week they acted like they knew what they were doing but did'n't . They didn't take the toilet off and check the wax ring for leveling, they went out to their truck and returned with a screw driver, shims, and a hammer. Guess what happened next, they shimmed the toliet to get it level. The shims (plastic pieces used to level) were sticking out from underneath the toilet halfway. Still no grouting either. Am I just picky? I called the next day and requested a refund for the toilet and installation due to shoddy workmanship. It took another 2 weeks to get it but I did. That's the only good thing I can say about Delk. Their turnover rate of workers is high and if you complain about workmanship issues you will be told that the person you name no longer works there. You never know. PS Terry D. owns Delk plumbing Be careful about hiring them.

Charged me $800.00 to install a water heater located in my garage. Took less than 2 hrs to do. Even with a charge of dumping my old water heater this is robbery. Asked for a detailed invoice and never received one.

Delk did our bathroom/shower rough in and added a water pressure booster. They were on time and called ahead as well. He was careful to only cut enough wood/drywall as needed for the project. He cleaned up better than other plumbers we have had to our house. Work so far is outstanding.

Delk did a professional, thorough job on the rough plumbing for our new bathroom!
