I contacted Delaney's 5 days ago and discussed getting estimate for a gas line install. I found him on LinkedIn as he was posting a request for website work, which I do. So I mentioned a barter, not a requirement, just a question. We discussed install options, he answered my questions and he said he would be out here in the next few days. So now 5 days later no response. I texted him and he doesn't want to come because he doesn't do free estimates, which I never asked for and he never mentioned a price to do the estimate. He also mentioned he was ""bothered"" by my barter question. Which is valid but it was just a question that he could have easily said no. I was completely willing to pay for an estimate and the work but at no time did he mention either. I am giving him 2 stars because his communication in our situation was unacceptable. If I would have known these issues during our initial discussion we could have handled them and had a successful transaction for both parties. Now I wasted 5 days of my project timeline waiting for a plumber who in my opinion could not communicate effectively.

Tried to get a general quote, said he charges by the job and will not give me a general price. Tells me I have to pay $70 for him to come out and he will keep that money if the estimate is higher than I expect. Would not tell me how much it would be if the job lasts one hour since he wants to price by the job. Usually people tell me that when they want more per hour than would be fair for the job. I will avoid him! Could have at least given me better information or been more friendly. Most customers want to know what something will cost in general for an amount of time on a specif job so we do not waste our time waiting for them and paying them a fee when they give us a high bid!

Yes, oh yes....do call Delaney Plumbing if you need great service. I called this morning and left a message. Received a timely callback and he was out to our house, problem fixed within 4 hours. He gave me a ballpark estimate over the phone, which was very reasonable and that is exactly what it cost. I am beyond thrilled to have a new, pleasant, capable plumber.

Just as an aside, I was reticent to use Yelp again for a plumber. My last experience was not pleasant. I can wholeheartedly state that Delaney Plumbing erased all the bad feelings.

Thank goodness for Charles and Delaney's Plumbing. I decided I thought it would be a good idea to try and put a paper towel amongst other various items down my garbage disposal.

I tried to unclog it myself and just before putting a drain cleaner down the drain I thought it might be best to give Charles a call. Good thing I did too. Not only did Charles come over quickly to assess the issue but he did it on a Saturday evening at 6pm.

Charles gave me some do's and don'ts for my garbage disposal and had my drain unclogged and working in no time.

Emailed Charles to locate pur sewer line. He asked if I was at home, I confirmed I was and he was at our house within an hour, located the line within 3 mins! He's got a snake with camera. He re-did the entire process for my sake and asked me to view his monitor as he re-did the process. You just can't get better service that what Charles delivered.

I love Charles!!! He has done numerous jobs for me!! He is thorough and does it right and doesn't rip you off! I would recommend him to anybody who wants someone to show up when he says and is reliable! He has fixed a water pipe to my evaporative cooler, helped me with my kitchen faucet, toilets and washing machines and water heaters and fix my water filtration system!! Oh my!!!! So as you can see, I totally would recommend him.

Fantastic plumber, my traditional hot water heater sat in the center of my house which is very typical for 50's houses. When it went bad I wanted it moved and I wanted to go tankless. After talking to 8 different plumbers, Charles was the only one who understood what I was trying to do and help it become a reality. He went above and beyond several times. Since I was out of town traveling for work most of our communication was done via text, which made me very nervous but Charles came through in every way. He is extremely ethical and will not make a promise he cannot keep. Finally he was extremely reasonable in his pricing. This is my first Yelp review I have ever written, but I wanted to share what a great find Charles is.

Charles did a great job of fixing our leaky bathtub faucet. I had called a few other local plumbers and left messages but received no response even a few days later (although one who did respond said they were too busy to take on new jobs- does that really happen??). Charles got back to me right away and was even able to come out in less than an hour, which I really appreciated. He was professional, courteous, and honest. His rate was very reasonable and I appreciated that he let me know up front how much everything would be. No need to look anywhere else- I would highly recommend him for your next plumbing service.
