We've had John work on several projects at our house over the last 7-8 years. John always responds quickly and pleasantly. When we tell him what our problem is he is thoughtful and holistic, and helps find the root cause, so he can do the right fix. His work is always prompt, and reasonably priced.

John installed a water pressure booster for us, which he took the extra steps to situate for me in a way that I could frame it into a closet some day.

John also did an excellent installation of an indirect hot water tank.

One of the things I appreciate most about John is his willingness to work with or around me on my DIY projects. I redid our guest bathroom a few years ago, and once I'd got the room down to the studs, John came in and helped me rip out the old tub and install the new one, as well as the toilet and sinks. Similarly, when I was replacing a toilet only to discover that the flange connecting to the floor under the old toilet was destroyed, John came in and finished the project that had become beyond my skill set.

Overall, we are really happy with John, and don't hesitate to call him for any of our plumbing issues.

I purchased a propane gas fireplace insert from Lunker's in Ashland over the tax-free holiday in Massachusetts this past August. Given that I already had a propane tank (for our stove) I thought that it would be relatively easy to coordinate with Lunker's about having the plumbing end of things done. Unfortunately I was mistaken. I was referred to John DelMonte by Lunker's and started speaking with him shortly after purchasing the insert. John swung by and took a look at our setup (from the outside). We had several conversations about ""issues"" that needed to be resolved with the town inspector in Framingham. I had asked John to communicate via my cell phone however he left a message on my house voicemail where he stated that ""he had figured things out."" My wife had listened to the message and didn't pass the information on to me at first. When I heard the message (about one week after it was left) I called John and without showing any level of concern said ""Oh sorry, I'm already booked through the end of October."" He said that he would call me that night around 9PM to see if that was in fact the case. This response was despite the fact that early in the process I had told him we already had an install date and at no point in our conversations did I indicate that I was interested in having anyone other than him do the job. Well he never called even though fact I called him around 8:15 that night to make sure we touched base. Several days later I still haven't heard from him. This has left me high and dry looking for someone to do the work. At the end of all this I can't speak for the work quality of Del Monte Plumbing as I didn't have the opportunity to get to that point. I, for sure, can say that the Customer Service and level of caring regarding the consumer is beyond sub-par.
