SCAM!!!SCAM!!!SCAM!!! Bought a new house in Orlando a bit over a year. Summer kicked-in in May and I had to call Del-Air because the AC was running 24/7 and couldn't get the temp any lower than 79deg. A very cocky guy came out just to tell us everything is ok with the AC. We had to run the AC full blast all summer... Same thing this year, summer is here and the AC just can't keep up with the heat inside. My neighbor is an AC guy and he showed me that Del-Air installed a lot smaller unit than it was needed. OUTRAGED!!!! Called Del-Air again explained the situation, just to get a rude operator on the line telling me I have to pay $79 for the service call... ARE YOU SERIOUS????? Fing scammers!!!! If you have a chance stay away from them! I hope this post helped... I wish someone told me this before... SCAMMERS!!!

Regardless of how desperate you are for help, I STRONGLY recommend against calling Del-Air and letting them anywhere near your AC. Over the last 10 months of our 1 year prepaid maintenance contract for them to service 4 properties and more than 10 units , we've had a number of complete missed appointments, no shows, guys showing up for an attic job without a ladder ..leaving to get one and never coming back...misdiagnoses causing leaks in our building and property damage, rude reps arriving at night telling us they """"don't want to be there"""" and will """"only repair it if the problem is simple, and so much more..."""" Today's probably takes the cake though. Recently, Del-Air cancelled two scheduled maintenance appointments at the last minute (one was really a """"no show"""") because our """"filters are special and on order."""" (They're not that special; ACE in both Clermont and Groveland have them). After weeks, two Delair trucks showed up and """"did maintenance."""" Two of our units are in guest houses we don't visit daily. Three days later, we found brand new ac filters sitting out on the front porch and one unit running with no filter and another unit completely dead with no filter. No response at all from Del-Air yet. This is after having spoken with at least 2 del-air executives, being promised only their very best, and having """"vip status."""" Imagine how well they take care of """"regular"""" status customers ???

Never again! My A/C went out last night, and to their credit, Del-air is one of the last agents with on call techs. They came out despite the late hour and diagnosed (or should I say, confirmed what Google and myself already suspected) for $79. Unfortunately, that money doesn't go towards any repairs they might make, which is pretty common practice across multiple service disciplines. The said it was the blower/modulator, but he didn't have the part. Here's where the story turns very ugly... He promised to have someone call me first thing in the morning. I was apprehensive, so I left a message with other service providers as well. One of which was Dorsey Air. By the time Del-Air called me back (not till nearly 11am), Dorsey Air had gotten the part, brought it to my house, and had the part installed. All for only $80!! :-) Btw, Del-air's quote?! $356!!! What?!?! That's a 450% markup! When I told the dispatcher that it was finished already by a competitor, and that the rate was far lower, all she said was, """"Uhh... I'll cancel the service call then..."""". (click). Nice, huh? Had it not been for the tremendous integrity and professionalism displayed by Dorsey Air, I would have been deliberately and intentionally taken advantage of during a time of desperate need. And they're the ones that sold me the unit just 3 short years ago!! No credit for loyalty. Like I said... Never again! Run and hide from this company. Do yourself, and your wallet, a huge favor and call Dorsey Air!!!

We have had a few HVAC contractors over the years while we have been in Florida, but most were horrible, unfriendly, rip you off were very expensive and do little to no maintenance. Del-Air has been great! They are very prompt, friendly, reasonable pricing and contracts and do a great job. The first time we used Del-Air they were prompt, friendly, explained the work they were going to do and cost beforehand. I had one small issue while on contract and they were here the same day, and no charge. Most HVAC contractors we had for annual maintenance spent 20-30 minutes and barely did anything. Del-Air was here 90 minutes and went over everything with me. I personally would recommend Del-Air for your HVAC service.

Our A/C unit stopped producing cold air Saturday night after every A/C company was closed. We spent an uncomfortable night with our smoke alarm batteries going off because of the increased temperature in the house. Sunday I started calling A/C repair people hoping to get a service appointment for maybe Monday. When I called Del-Air I left a message at their emergency number. I was surprised to receive a call back almost immediately. I was even more surprised to be told they would have a repairman out that day at no additional charge! An hour before the repairman arrived I received another call telling me that he was on the way. The A/C repairman, Mike arrived right on time. He listened to my description of the problem and started in. In about an hour he had diagnosed the equipment by checking everything. He found that the drain line to the A/C unit which is suspended from the ceiling in the garage had been clogged by growth, cleaned the line and made sure the system was performing. The cost for the entire call was exactly what was quoted. The end result, Sunday night we had a nice cool home to sleep in again all for a reasonable cost. We couldn't be happier with Del-Air and their service.

Del air did the electronic to my house which was built by Pulte homes. At Christmas time we put up some lights and half my house went out! Pulte sent someone out to my house to check things out. The guy did not speak english, and refused to look at anything. They sent anther guy out and he changed an outlet and said it was fixed. I plugged on 1 light and the house went dark again. His answer was don't use any lights! I called pulte and told them to get someone else from another compnay. They sent someone else out and that guy found a wire that was cut in the attic and was shorting out the entire right side of my house. They said it could have burned the house down. I called del air back and they so called manager told me owell get over it! Then they wanted to bill me! Just a piss poor company. Stay away from them.

I have used Del Air for over 15 years both to install new HVAC units as well as for annual service contracts on my HVAC. Del Air has always demonstrated professionalism at every level of contact and service. Additionally their follow up on service calls as well as regular maintenance and scheduling is outstanding. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for service of their HVAC or installation of new units. An additional observation - when the city inspector checked the new units when installed as soon as he saw the installation was done by Del Air, he stated """"I never have found anything wrong with any of their work. They are the best in the area.""""

We have used Delair for years and never had an issue. This week our AC went in our vacation rental home. A service call was made and someone went out. He said we needed a part. Part ordered and installed we were told it was fixed. A new set of guests arrived that night and it's 84 degrees in the House. After another call we were told that they needed another part. (That was not what we were originally told). 2 days later they have the part and we are the last call out for the day. It's 7 pm and still no technician. Our guests are requesting to move out a week early so we will lose money because we will need to pay for alternate accommodations . We have placed many calls to the dispatch and not an ounce of sympathy. Not sure what has happened to this company but they are NOT the company we were happy with for years.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. My husband called to make an appt when our A/C broke, they scheduled an appt for the following afternoon. Meanwhile it was over 90 degrees in our house (with kids and pets). No one showed up so I called the company, the rep that answered the phone was very rude. Told me my appt was for the following day for a different time (which didn't make sense). I ended the call and chose not to use their services because of the horrible customer service rep and the lack of professionalism on their part when mishandling their schedule. I chose a local A/C repairman who showed up 20 minutes after I called him and fixed my issue. Support your local small businesses, do NOT use del air. They don't care about you as customer.
