Stacy S.Del Air installed my new A/C unit 2 years ago, and I purchased the yearly maintenance program to keep up the warranty, and thank goodness! Recently my son had a nasty ear infection with a fever to go along with it and my a/c stopped working overnight (HELLO 95 degree weather!). When I called in the morning, they didn't have any appointments until 3 days later, so I was forwarded onto Patsy (service manager) so I could explain my issue. She must've known that I really needed someone to be nice to me at that moment (I had been up all night on was on the verge of tears) because she somehow made it work! They serviced my a/c later that day! So Patsy, if you're seeing this, my baby and I really really appreciate you!
I have had problems with my AC unit since Delair installed it in my new home 4 years ago. 2 coils and several leaks later, I am now leaking freon for the 10th time and need another coil. $1200 labor fee for a part that keeps being replaced and leaking. This is ridiculous. Horrible company with terrible technicians that do not know how to truly fix a problem. This has been an ongoing issue for the past 4 years. Please do not work with this company.
Tim L.Four years ago we had Del-Air install a new air conditioning system for our home. We also had a maintenance agreement with them and when our system went out last Monday we called the emergency repair number and I was told no one could come before Thursday. Luckily we were able to get someone else to come and fix the problem. I would never recommend this company because of the poor customer service.
Had them out to look at an AC unit that was not heating or cooling effectively. Technician was young guy and he told me that the refrigerant was almost gone and we had a leak in the evaporating coil. He said the evaporating coil could not be repaired. We could replace just the coil he said but when you do it that way the warranty on the new unit was only one year. He recommended we replace the entire AC/Heat pump system for a bargain price somewhere between $6000 and $9000. I asked about the warranty on the existing system which is only seven years old. He said warranty for this system was 10 years but only for the original owner (I bought the house 3 years ago) . This a verified - what a rip off. So I asked him to add a few pounds of refrigerant (for a ridiculous price) to get me through the next few months. Didn't really help. They had their sales guys calling me three times a week for then next few week trying to sell me a new system. Fast forward 2 months and I decide to have someone else take a look. Called American Air & heat. First thing the guy does is check static air pressure and asks """"do you have some vents closed off in the house"""". Sure enough, middle of the winter I had closed off a bunch of the vents thinking I didn't want to be heating rooms I don't use. He asks me to open the vents and within 20 minutes the temperature in the house drops 5 degrees. He checks the rest of the system which he said is fine and he said """"yeah, refrigerant is a little low and there might be a small leak but not causing any trouble right now"""". Spent nearly $400 with Del Air and they did nothing to help and tried to sell me an expensive new AC unit. Spent $90 with American Air & Heat and my system works much better and I have time to let the leak issue play out -- assuming there really is a leak. I know who I'm going to for future AC heat work....
Matt M.Called to get my ac fixed the guy said they would send someone out. 6 hrs goes by no phone call no one shows. I call back, get put on hold for 45 min. A rude snarky man answers as if I'm. Inconveniencing him. I ask what's taking so long and if I can have window of when to expect someone. I am told they will get to me when they get to me and the man hangs up. It's now been over 10 hrs I have been hung up on twice and it's 92 degrees in my house. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING. find a local small business that deserves your money.
Melody L.I used Del-Air today on my air conditioning repair at my house. They were amazing. It's the middle of a hot FL summer now. I called them yesterday at 4pm and they were able to get a service tech out the next day at 12:30pm. Impressive! The tech visit was reasonable priced and fast. He took less than an hour to complete the repair and inspection. I recommend them for sure. Great service! I'll use them again for sure.
Untrustworthy, Liars and cheats!!!! A/C went out so I called for service. Tech said we needed a new blower motor. Their parts dept said needed a new blower motor AND and new TXV (transfer valve) for total of $2058.00. Called in for a second opinion and found out the only thing wrong was a clogged drain pipe. Only needed bleach and the pipe blown out.
Had a band new AC unit installed in Aug of 2019. They failed to install an overflow switch and now they are saying unit is not under warranty any more. Less than a year in and unit stopped working. What a sham Del aire is running. Do not buy or use them!!
Joe M.Installed a New Trane A/C system in the midst of the Covid-19 and they did a great job installing and making sure everything worked correctly. I absolutely love being able to control my A/C unit now through my cell phone and being able to monitor how long it runs for. They also sent in the info to the Electric company so I could get the $600 rebate on my electric for an energy efficient unit! Very happy with my new system. Thanks for everything!
