The journey began when my father, William DeGasperi, chose to leave Plumbers Union Local 2 after 23 years to start his own venture named Bill’s Plumbing. In high school, I enrolled in the Board of Cooperative Education for Plumbing from 1989 to 1991, where I proudly secured 1st place in a skills Olympics competing against over 30 other trade schools. I worked alongside my dad whenever I could—after school, during breaks, and throughout the summer. I treasured those times and continue to have the same zeal for the business today as I did 30 years ago! In 1994, we changed our name to Wm. DeGasperi & Son Plumbing & Heating, Inc. as I joined him full-time and took on more responsibilities in the business. My dad retired in 2014, but he still pops in from time to time! You might catch him occasionally on a job site or lending a hand in the office. Today, we are known as DeGasperi & Son Plumbing & Heating, Inc.
