Technician Hines arrived at the time I requested. He first did a walkthrough for the work that I needed done, and gave me a reasonable estimate. He performed the work in a timely manner, and cleaned up after himself. He was polite and professional.

Customer Service processed my payment over the phone. They were also polite and professional.

I only have great things to say about Definitive!

This company has poor customer service over the phone. They had a technician come out who seemed nice but was not able to solve our issue in his visit. We had to pay the $90 service fee, we then were sent a follow up quote. When I asked for clarification on the quote over the phone I was once again met with a rude and accusatory attitude. I cancelled my follow up appointment and wish I had never wasted $90 to start with.

I had high hopes for this company based on the positive reviews I've seen online. So, my husband and I were OK with the $89 charge for an estimate for a rough-in for a basement sink. There is nothing about this job that makes it out of the ordinary, or particularly difficult: the sink location would be about 7 feet away from an existing washer, and we would open and close the wall ourselves. Two men came to evaluate the job, and 2 days later sent an estimate for $6000. This is about three or four times more than what the job should cost, based on estimates from other local plumbers, as well as our research about average prices for this type of work. On top of that, the company just gave us this quote as a single number, with no breakdown of estimated man-hours, cost of materials, permit cost, etc. I feel like the company did not put their fair share of effort into this quote, and just ran away with our money.

To remedy this situation, Definitive Plumbing & Heating should:
(1) Refund the $89 fee for the unreasonable quote
OR
(2) Itemize the quote and provide justification for its high cost.

If the owner reads this and wants to address the situation, it was proposal number 00159 send on Jan 5th.

EDIT two weeks later: I had this entire job completed in one day for $1200 by another company. Still bitter about my money lost with Definitive Plumbing & Heating.

Great company! I needed the 4 toilets in my house inspected. The crew was right on time and friendly. They worked efficiently. The price was fair based on all of the quotes I received. A+ service, A+ price. Definitely will use them again the next time I need a plumber.

I appreciate the wealth of knowledge shared as they explained the repair process, reviewed the bill and gave me an overview of what I should expect.

I had a bad leak in my bathroom that started running downstairs damaging my ceiling and I didn't know who to call. A friend recommend Definitive Plumbing so I figured I 'd give them a try, the technician Keon came out. I don't know much about the company because they are new, however if all of the techs are as knowledgeable and efficient as him, this company will stick around for years to come. Unlike other plumbing companies I dealt with in the past, they did not try to up price the job. I highly recommend.

In spite of this being a very new small business, they were prompt with responding to my inquiry over the phone and online, so I decided to give them a shot. It always feels weird and risky using a servicer you've NEVER heard of without a word-of-mouth reputation. We had a main water line issue, and were forced to shut off water to the entire house. This was the only company that seemed friendly and eager to help me. A lot of people I called before had an attitude; like my situation was a veritable waste of time. I wish I could've gotten an earlier appointment, but they were timely in arriving, and professional. Price for repair was fair, and I'll certainly use them again when we begin remodeling this old house because they have active master plumber licenses (you can look it up on their website and investigate like I did lol). Highly recommend.
