I have had Declan's Plumbing work on various projects in our home. They have done an amazing job on everything. First, they fixed a leak in our garage that required replacing pipes on the first and second story of the house. They were punctual, professional and made sure to clean up afterwards. Recently I had them install new sink fixtures in all 3 bathrooms and the work looks great. They are always super responsive and are able to arrive within a day of calling. I highly recommend Declan if you are looking for quick, trustworthy and reliable plumbing service.

After Declan saw this review he cussed me out, insulted me and threatened me. No matter which way you cut it he was overpriced, aggressive and insulting. A week later he is still threatening me. Wow. Thanks Declan I got a new water heater for more than half the price that you offered a walk street owner. Great not doing business with you. Ever. I suggest you not try to take a chance on getting 60% more than is needed off your clients. I wish you the best come 2015 and be a better business owner. Aloha!!

Had Declan replace piping under my house a few months ago (5k job so pretty substantial). He came in right on budget and on time and was incredibly easy to work with. Saturday after thanksgiving, my water heater sprang a leak and was fizzing at the top. I pulled up Yelp just to get his number and was shocked that he didn't have a four or five star rating. I ended up emailing him; he called within two minutes and was at my house less than half an hour later. Fixed the problem immediately and cheerfully. Will continue to be my go to plumber.

I was referred to Declan from Patrick to re-locate a drain due to changes in the code when I purchased my home. He did a quick and great job. He has also since replaced my water heater, and changed out three bathroom valves. A small leak had developed in one of the valves and he quickly resolved the issue. I'm glad that I've so quickly found a neighborhood plumber in my area to call whenever I have any issues!

I've had a couiple of leaky faucets fixed by Joshua of Declan's Plumbing. Each time the outcome has been excellent and the work done efficiently.

Most recently Joshua explained our options with a leaky kitchen faucet - the type with a complex mechanism which can be costly to replace. We decided to go ahead and have him work on the faucet, which, as he explained clearly, initiates an hour minimum charge. He determined that the mechanism was compromised and had to go out to find the part. To maximize efficiency, he took a photo of the part and emailed it to his supplier before he left the house. He finished the job in under an hour.

One minor complaint is that sometimes it takes a few days to get a call back from the office. But hey, it's Venice ; )

For months I was having problems with raw sewage coming out of my clean out. I wasted more time and money on those Rooter guys and their insistance that I need a whole new sewer line. They had no clue what the problem was.
Then I called DECLAN...........He had Drainology locate the problem with a camera. Within 2 hours DECLAN was able to dig up the small portion of my lawn and find the exact spot that was causing the problem. A ball of roots had caused the blockage. Declan repaired the pipe and now I can sleep at night. He is honest, reliable and knows his stuff. I would use him again. You can trust him!!!!

Declan Plumbing did a major sewer-line project for us. They completed it in the time they estimated and did not go over-budget. I also found Declan very reachable and personable when I needed a question answered, or some more clarity on a situation. He always returned all phone hours within a few hours. The men that came and did the job were nice and respectable of our home. We were very happy with the job done!

Declan said he was coming to my house to fix a shower valve leak. Sent 2 of his workers instead. The took out the leaky valves, left and came back 1.5 hours later and said they couldn't find a replacement (they said they went to 3 plumbing stores) and I needed to order the valves myself. They never offered to order the parts or maybe find a replacement.

They re-installed the valves and they leaked even worse! I was pissed! 2.5 hours wasted and 1/2 a day waiting on them to show up.... and they made it worse!

I called Declan that night. He never returned my call. I called him the next morning (of course after I found the parts myself - only took one stop for me). He answered the phone and then hung up on me, twice.

I went home and did the work myself with the parts I bought. Was finished in 20 minutes.

I suggest you go elsewhere for your plumbing needs. Declan and his employee's are not worthy of yours or my business. Horrible customer service and even worse plumbing!


Declan has responded to my not so nice review of his plumbers with a pack of lies. Figures, coming from a plumber...

Anyway, it was all about options. I was never given the option to have his guys go to Santa Monica ( I would have agreed with this had I known it was an option) or when they came back empty handed, why didn't they call me first and give me the option of using something different. And, I was never given the option of them getting the part and coming back the next day to finish the install.

And, more lies: I was never told where to buy the parts (I figured that part out on my own) nor did they show me how to fix it myself.

What they did do was tell me that I needed to order the parts directly through the company and leave my home with the valves leaking much worse than when the arrived!

As for me yelling at them and telling them to get out of my house...Well, I was upset. You would be too. They realized how badly they screwed up and they left on their own (with their tails between their legs)...again, without giving me any options but to have to turn off the water in my own home (as the leak was soooo much worse) and then go out and do it myself!

Again, they are making excuses for not giving good customer service and if Declan had been a man about it and not hung up on me, maybe the situation could have been rectified without me having to write a negative review of his company here....But, again, poor customer service was what I got and he got a bad review.

Declan's plumbing replaced old pipe with copper pipe in my entire house and replaced the sewer line.

They did a great job, were reliable, punctual, honest and fair. Declan and Josh were very responsive and professional. I would use them again and highly recommend them.
