Our toilet stopped working in the middle of summer, and so we called Deans to come out to take a look at it. They showed up by the next day, and the technician was able to take care of the problem super quickly! He was very informative and explained everything in detail, and was also very friendly and knowledgable. Definitely recommend them!

We were moving into a new home and wanted Deans to inspect the plumping during our option period. They were quick to respond and able to get out to the property the next day. That's where the positives stop.

The Bad:

The plumper came out to the house was friendly and did explain the process well, but the tests needed the sellers of the house would not let us do so the plumber stated since he did not do anything but talk he would not charge us. Then my girlfriend came over and I was going to tell her what he told me and he said I can explain it to her. After he explained it to her he said he was now going to charge us for his time even though he did nothing but talk after saying he would not charge us. It cost about $180 for him talking to us.

Next, he said the house had no clean outs and to put a camera down it would cost an addition $950 to remove a toilet of go from the roof.

Later we found THERE ARE CLEAN OUTS! He just didn't look outside in the backyard so he would have charged us for nothing.

I would not recommend them, they did not do there due diligence when looking around the outside of the house, charged us for nothing more than telling us our water heater was greater than 10 years old which we already knew.

FIND ANOTHER COMPANY, is my advice.

They do not offer pricing over the phone. I wanted a quote for a replacement water heater, just a ballpark. $59 trip fee to get a quote, pass.

Here's the problem: to an uneducated homeowner, they are wonderful. They are prompt, respectful, and make you feel like you're getting a bargain. However, to snake one drain and clean out a stopper (a literal two second jobs--his words, not mine), they wanted to charge over $400+ dollars. Make sense that they don't want to give you an estimate over the phone. I told the tech that I received a quote to snake a drain for $167. After speaking with the owner, he came back with $176. Listen, I have zero incentive to pay a cent more. I had to negotiate that they waive the service fee (which other companies routinely do if you go with their services). All in all, the work performed was fine (turns out they didn't even need to snake it), but the up-charge is INSANE. I am noticing that this is a massive problem with the Dallas service industry generally. If you're up for negotiating and you're an educated home owner, they sure, use them.

Jon came to give us a quote on tankless water heaters. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and honest. Dean's is lucky to have a guy like this on their team.

Their customer service and appointment process is very professional and polished. They keep in contact confirming appointment times, tell you when the tech is on the way and follow up afterwards.

Prices are full price service. Save and struggle at Lowes, HD or Sears... or pay full price and don't worry with Dean's. Your call, as it was mine.

Plumbing issue that started weeks ago. Had another company come out, fixed it but part installed broke 2 weeks later. Scheduled another fix and long story short, no one showed nor did they bother calling back as of today. Called Dean's Plumbing on Saturday and received a call before noon on Monday. Came out that same day about 40 minutes later. Jesse was very professional, work looks great and he explained everything. Wish I had called them first.

I had a small water leak hidden inside wall. Called multiple plumbers for quote, and they were either unable to pinpoint the leak, or too afraid to cut the drywall. Dean's people came, located the leak, cut the wall, and repaired the damaged pipe. They charged steep price but they got the job done in time.
