My heating unit seized up and same day, they came out, quoted me, told me what the problem was and I had the option to pay $129 service fee and credit that towards the job or use somebody else. I called two AC/Heater guys and quote was $200-$300 more than I was quoted so DC did it. I thought the part may take a week but they got the new blower and installed next morning. Great service. Good price. Owner came out to make sure his guy did a good job. I like they are local to San Clemente as well.

Called to fix a busted pipe and later a leak under the house ($700). A couple years later when I had an inspection done when selling the house, I am told the plumbing looks to have been done by someone with no knowledge in plumbing and has to be completely redone. Of course now DC won't return my calls.

I would strongly advise anyone against using DC Plumbing.

DC Plumbing installed a water heater in our property less than 1 year ago and during a routine home inspection it was noted that the water heater was not installed up to code. Numerous other contractors and plumbers verified that DC Plumbing installed the water heater incorrectly and not up to code.

When we tried to contact DC Plumbing to correct their work that was not installed up to code, we got the run around. They continued to say that they would correct the work if they installed it incorrectly and came out on two occasions. Finally after two weeks, they decided that they were not responsible and we would have to pay to bring their improper work up to code. Their reasoning was that the technician that installed the heater no longer worked for the company.

This plumber should have their license revoked or should learn to do their work up to code.

Beware!!! I had a starter part replaced on my air conditioner and they charged me triple what i would have paid as i have found out after the fact, the part was $35-$75 and it took the guy not even 5 min. to pop it on, they charged me $400. Other companies said that they charged up to $150 to do it. When i called and spoke to Shaun, i said i wanted to speak to the owner in which the company website says they're honest and you can speak to the owner anytime, he told me the owner doesn't call people back, i have to go thru him, i said no get the owner, he never had the owner call back, they lie on their website too. Don't use them, dishonest and rip off!!!!!

Like the other reviewers, I thought the price of clearing a simple kitchen drain stoppage was going to be $79, per their website. Seemed like a good deal, after hearing the $99 Mike Diamond radio spots for years. When the tech arrived, he pulled out his ""price book"" and quoted me $256. After complaining and bringing up the Mike Diamond radio ads, he came down to $150. Since it was a Sunday and he was already on premise, I agreed to the $150, but was not happy about it. It took him about 15 minutes to run 50 ft of snake through the clean out and clear out the stoppage. $150 for 15 minutes work! ..... Unless you don't mind being ripped off, DO NOT call this company.

I love these guys!! I would normally expect joe plumber at my door, but DC PLUMBING was professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable. Yes plumbers are expensive by trade but I don't know why all these reviews are so negative. All their pricing is industry standard printed in a book. When my water heater was replaced by these guys the technician showed me the price in the book. I did receive a second quote and the pricing was very close. I was very happy with my tankless heater install and they did the installation by the book. I know these guys have been around a VERY long time, they have always done all my service work, they work on everything from homes to hotels. You can trust that these guys know their business and knowledge is invaluable. I trust these guys to take care of my plumbing problems everytime!

I think I had them confused with DC Drains whom I had used in the past and had great experience with and great price. So I was trusting when I called to have work done.

Not too excited to find out after having a tankless water heater installed for $3000 that I was overcharged. (WAY OVERCHARGED) The work wasn't even complete, there is an extension cord running half way around the outside of my house/yard to power the thermostat and then the water filter started leaking and have to have them come back out not even 2 weeks after install. Definitely would NOT use them again.

BEWARE!! DO NOT use these guys. It is an absolute rip off to say the least! The prices are so inflated they don't make sense. It is a scam!! And don't get confused they are not DC Drains in Costa Mesa. Those guys are actually honest. So sad that someone needs to make a living at the expense of others! Shame on Dave Colbert the owner he knows just what he is doing. If you are good at what you do, you wouldn't need to cheat the few customers you do get!

BEWARE!

DC Plumbing is a complete rip off! You're stuck paying them $$ for just coming out and giving you an outrageous quote!! Regardless of if they provide you with a service or not, you're still paying them $$. Unbelievable!! We had another service guy that came to install the dishwasher and was shocked by how much DC was asking for a simple valve replacement.

We called and these guys were at our home within one hour of our call. They gave us straight answers and best and worst case scenarios. With a slab leak we thought that it would take days to manage. But with in 24 hours Tom and Damian had capped the leak and re- routed the pipe. They were fast, professional and reasonable, we will call them again should we need plumbing assistance.
