So...I normally don't write reviews unless it is a really bad experience or really great experience. And as far as DC plumbing and Dave, I cannot be happier. There is not enough good things to say about Dave. In the past 5 years since moving to San Marcos, I have have hired him to replace my water heater, replace my water regular, and an emergency visit to fix a busted pipe which resulting in water in the entire house shit off. Every single time Dave was prompt to respond my call, gave a reasonable and accurate quote, and has always been on time and completed the work quickly with good workmanship.

Aside from the above, I want to highlight a few items why I am so satisfied as to not only write a review but leave a 5 star review:

1) Although Dave is casual enough to make you feel like you know him, he is extremely professional when it comes to his work. Communication is prompt, work has always been completed above expectation for me, and he truly knows his trade.

2) He has great prices for his services. Trust me. I am one to get at least a few quotes, and he never price gouges, and is a Steele for the quality of workmanship he provides. He is also great about calling back and checking to make sure everything is still good and no further issues.

3) There have been multiple times where I have called him to ask a question about something, and he has given me advise without any expectation in return. At times, his advise prevented him from getting work since it was an easy fix I could do. That's how honest he is. He will truly tell you your best options for your problem.

With all that, 5 stars all the way. Highly recommend.

DC Plumbing is awesome! We have used them twice- once to replace our water heater and once to repair a broken pipe from our house to the backyard. On both occasions water was leaking everywhere. Dan returned both my late calls on Sunday night and came out first thing on Monday morning. Besides the prompt service, Dan is extremely knowledgeable and friendly AND he has the coolest dog that just hangs out in his truck while he works :)

Dave was fast, affordable, and professional!

I don't know much about plumbing or water heaters and Dave took the time to talk me through everything he was doing and was very patient with me.

I will absolutely call Dave again for my next plumbing crisis.

Dave is a true professional, great communication and excellent craftsmanship. Came out within 2 hours of speaking with him and replaced 18 angle stops, 5 toilet tank hoses, 3 shower values and 1 water regulator in under 6 hour. Thank you to DC Plumbing another job well done. Plus who does not like his assistant Archie!!

interesting.. I posted a bad review and huh.. it does not show up on yelp... I am only giving two stars to see what happens here. DC plumbing did NOT do a good job, cost me over $10,000 as all his work needed to be ripped out.. isn't is strange that ALL reviews are 5 stars.. whats the saying..if something is too good to be true, it probably isn't.
that is the case with DC plumbing..

I've used DC Plumbing for multiple jobs as have my neighbors and he does excellent work. Fast, Fair Price and stands behind his work. He replaced all the angle stops in my house, installed a tank less water heater and will be back to install a Halo filtration system shortly.

We were in a tight spot because our refrigerator went dead. Our new fridge showed up but the water valve was also busted, and the new fridge could not be installed until we had a plumber replace the valve. We needed help in a hurry, and Dave from DC Plumbing responded fast and made quick work of the water valve repair. Thank you Dave!!

DC Plumbing is by far the best plumbing company I have ever dealt with. The owner Dave is the best! He is professional, prompt, and honest, rare these days.
I have used DC for 5 jobs over the past few years and he always gets the job done either under budget or on budget- and timely. He suggests only the best parts and gives good advice on your options. He can do it all, be it installing a new sink, disposal, or bigger things. You can count on him because he lives in the community and is active in local family activities so you will see him around.

I reached out to DC Plumbing (Dave) on the recommendation of a friend who had used him the past and was very happy. When we spoke and I explained the problem with our kitchen sink and the water leakage we were experiencing below in the cabinet, Dave promptly scheduled a time to come out the same day. He also mentioned something that we could check ourselves to see if that was the problem and possible save us some money. Turns out it was and he was able to help us over the phone at no charge. He was happy to help and we will be happy to call him for future plumbing issues!

This makes me sad to have to review this way but I tried to give him every opportunity to redeem, but it ended up being a let down. I initially found Mike and DC plumbing by once again checking reviews on Yelp. I talked to him and he was very straight forward which I liked (no speal about pricing etc). He was SUPER helpful initially and came over and tried a quick fix for our leaky shower. Unfortunately the fix did not end up working and this is where the problems started. Dave is a plumber, but once there is evidence of water damage, he told us that I need to utilize a flood mitigation specialist which he recommended. He recommended a man by the name of Mike Ciccone (sp?) who was the ""flood specialist."" I trusted Dave because he was so straight forward. Well, Mike was pretty much a scam artist. He charged $7k (plus on the invoice, he charged for miscellaneous items/things that he never did) for removing less than 50sqft of drywall and placing a total of 5 fans for 5 days. He had not ACTUALLY DONE ANY WORK AT THIS TIME.
We then had Dave return to fix another pipe and asked him about Mike and how reliable he was because we were starting to see more and more scamming come through in his plans. Dave did not comment one way or another, but unfortunately the referral came directly from Dave so he had to know that Mike was not running an ethical business. At this point we decided to find another flood mitigation specialist who upon assessment found that Mike had not done any proper water mitigation or drying in the first place so we had to PAY AGAIN to dry out the area, for a much different price of $1,200. In the mean time Mike had said he was looking into finding the price of the original tile so that we could get the ""most for our money."" We never heard from him again after that. We are now remodeling our whole bathroom that was damaged by the water, but we lost a month of work because of working with Mike. Upon reaching out to Dave, he never responded after questions regarding Mike and the switch to a different mitigation company.
We thought Dave was a good hardworking reliable plumber and if we hadn't referred us to Mike, I think we might still be using him for our plumbing needs, but he had to know that Mike was a shady person because in his text message to me he stated ""My flood guy does good work."" Very unfortunate circumstances.
