I reached out to DC Plumbing (Dave) on the recommendation of a friend who had used him the past and was very happy. When we spoke and I explained the problem with our kitchen sink and the water leakage we were experiencing below in the cabinet, Dave promptly scheduled a time to come out the same day. He also mentioned something that we could check ourselves to see if that was the problem and possible save us some money. Turns out it was and he was able to help us over the phone at no charge. He was happy to help and we will be happy to call him for future plumbing issues!

This makes me sad to have to review this way but I tried to give him every opportunity to redeem, but it ended up being a let down. I initially found Mike and DC plumbing by once again checking reviews on Yelp. I talked to him and he was very straight forward which I liked (no speal about pricing etc). He was SUPER helpful initially and came over and tried a quick fix for our leaky shower. Unfortunately the fix did not end up working and this is where the problems started. Dave is a plumber, but once there is evidence of water damage, he told us that I need to utilize a flood mitigation specialist which he recommended. He recommended a man by the name of Mike Ciccone (sp?) who was the ""flood specialist."" I trusted Dave because he was so straight forward. Well, Mike was pretty much a scam artist. He charged $7k (plus on the invoice, he charged for miscellaneous items/things that he never did) for removing less than 50sqft of drywall and placing a total of 5 fans for 5 days. He had not ACTUALLY DONE ANY WORK AT THIS TIME.
We then had Dave return to fix another pipe and asked him about Mike and how reliable he was because we were starting to see more and more scamming come through in his plans. Dave did not comment one way or another, but unfortunately the referral came directly from Dave so he had to know that Mike was not running an ethical business. At this point we decided to find another flood mitigation specialist who upon assessment found that Mike had not done any proper water mitigation or drying in the first place so we had to PAY AGAIN to dry out the area, for a much different price of $1,200. In the mean time Mike had said he was looking into finding the price of the original tile so that we could get the ""most for our money."" We never heard from him again after that. We are now remodeling our whole bathroom that was damaged by the water, but we lost a month of work because of working with Mike. Upon reaching out to Dave, he never responded after questions regarding Mike and the switch to a different mitigation company.
We thought Dave was a good hardworking reliable plumber and if we hadn't referred us to Mike, I think we might still be using him for our plumbing needs, but he had to know that Mike was a shady person because in his text message to me he stated ""My flood guy does good work."" Very unfortunate circumstances.

Dave came out to change my shower valve. He went over the different replacement options with me and after comparing cost options , I opted for the change out kit. I now have a perfectly working shower again. No more scouring hot water from out of nowhere!!! DC was professional, efficient and affordable.

Came home after being away for the weekend to water in the garage. Dave came first thing in the morning after my call. He determined immediately where the water was coming from, opened the wall and fixed the pipe. I have used other companies for situations in the past. None were as prompt, helpful or reasonable in their pricing.

I will always call Dave first!

When we moved, the moving company informed us that the gas line on the dryer was capped and needed a plumber to add a valve. Called Dave in the late afternoon and he was over the following morning. He took care of it right away. We'll be calling him for all our plumbing needs.

Dave came out and installed two toilets at a reasonable cost. He was great and replaced some other parts, and broken floor mounting bolts that were needed as well.

Very impressed with the service and expertise of Dave and DC Plumbing. He was very responsive, provided excellent service, and fixed everything in one visit. I have used several different plumbers over the past couple of years, but will now be using DC Plumbing for all issues going forward. Dave is a nice guy and did a good job at a fair price. I got a quote from another plumbing company of $18,900 to re-pipe my entire home when Dave fixed my problem for $700.

I had issues with my water heater pilot so I called the number on a sticker attached to the heater that the previous owners had left. Dave was extremely helpful and guided me through each step over the phone and had it up and running again in no time. I asked him how much I owed him and he just asked for a good word. Other people would have easily charged us an arm and a leg for something so simple. Glad we found a great and honest plumber in our new neighborhood.

This review is long overdue Dave did the plumbing on our entire house about 2yrs ago when we remodeled and we haven't had a problem, he installed my claw foot tub beautifully. We had to call him for a small slow leak in the tubs handle and as busy as he is he responded and squeezed us in. Dave is honest and professional and an all around awesome guy. We highly recommend him!!
