DB's Plumbing and Drain
Company Overview
For many years, DB's Plumbing and Drain® has been providing top-notch plumbing services to the homes and businesses of Northern Virginia. We started as a small drain cleaning service and have evolved into a comprehensive plumbing contractor for Woodbridge and surrounding areas.
Our commitment to quality and honesty ensures that we will never upsell unnecessary services or overcharge for subpar work. We invest time in thorough evaluations to ensure we correctly identify the issue. We strive to ensure that every repair is done correctly on the first attempt, supported by our exceptional guarantee.
Founded in 2008, we are a family-run and military-owned plumbing company. We emphasize the importance of doing the right thing for every project, rather than just chasing profits. ""Done Right the First Time"" is our guiding principle, showcasing our low rate of callbacks and the experience we offer.
With nearly ten years in the industry at a prominent company, David Buky leads DB's Plumbing and Drain. David saw that personal service was often overlooked in the industry and aimed to bring it back. Following the 2008 crash, David dedicated himself to demonstrating that clients deserve exceptional service in their homes, not just a quick fix. David assures you that all technicians are drug tested, background checked, and trained to be polite, ensuring a professional interaction. After all, it’s your home.

J N.Just moved in and quickly realized our basement STINKS! We spent a couple thousand dollars trying to figure out where septic gas was coming in. Two other plumbers and a septic company came out, charged us, and left without being able to figure it out. These people all said they checked the pipes in our house and there were no leaks.
From the first couple minutes we noticed David had more knowledge and experience than the others. Within the hour he located 3 large holes in our pipes at various locations! At one spot there was a section of mostly-rusted-away rebar extending through both sides of the pipe- leaving 1"" holes. These we quickly and expertly repaired. Our basement smells great now- we are able to enjoy our family room!!
We will NEVER use another plumber!!
Dipak A.Not a good experience in my case! Price is very expensive. I asked to give me a quote when I made an appointment but they didn't give me one. They charged me just for tech to come out and take a look at the plumbing issue I had.
Charles G.I don't get Guy B's review, for a few reasons.
1) If the price wasn't worth it, then they didn't have to take the job
2) Gas work is dangerous as hell! It's a LIABILITY for a company bcuz if something goes wrong, the house can blow up. The cost of that just for liability alone, to even TOUCH the job, is worth the $400 alone.
As a scuba diver myself, I know that even with the most highly trained diver, sometimes equipment can malfunction or extenuating circumstances can occur that put the diver in a challenging or dangerous spot. And even the most professional trained cave divers sometimes do die (have an accident leading to drowning).
This doesn't mean the diver- OR in this case, a gas company- is ""unprofessional"", or ""not skilled"" etc. It just means that equipment can malfunction and even the best person may once in a blue moon, make a mistake.
I don't think ""Guy B""- in all his glory- would mess with a gas pipe that could blow up a house for just $100 bucks. If that's his thing, then hey, but I seriously doubt it.
Anyway, I don't think his review is reasonable whatsoever; I feel like he probably just doesn't understand or care to understand plumbing and gas, or respect the liability and seriousness of a job of that magnitude; so I wanted to give my 2c on it
I had this company fix a leaking pipe at our home and they did a good job finding the leak and stopping it within an hour. It was within the Insurance's companies expected cost so their pricing seems normal and fine. The service tech was friendly, helpful, and professional. I agree with DB's that some people just plain old fashioned hate blue collar people and think they don't deserve to earn a fair living like everyone else in this area. And that's a shame
Very quick response to my online inquiry. DB's Plumbing advised that they do not do the specific work that I was looking to have done (major bath remodel), but they offered to help with installation of items they do handle. I will contact them again for future plumbing needs.
Julia G.Would NOT recommend this company- we asked for repairs that were not completed. They did not fix the problem 700 dollars in charges then wanted an additional 350 to fix what should have been repaired on the first trip. Management not at all helpful to reconcile issue.
We had a problem with our kitchen sink pipe and David came out to hydrojet, the very next day after I called! I found the company because of the great reviews, and they certainly lived up to them. David and his team were fast and so thorough. They explained everything and when they were done gave us tips in how to maintain our pipes. We were really impressed and I highly recommend them!!
Alana J.After reading the bad reviews and not letting the positive ones cloud my judgment, I do think the cost/quotes at this company is a bit suspect. Seems like the main concern, based on the few negative comments, is the cost of service. I felt the same way regarding pricing. I knew I overpaid because Ive had the work done before by a another well known company and their price wasnt as high. Other than the price, I do think they know what they are doing and are very professional when they are doing the work. The tech was nice and helpful. Overall, I would say if you are desparate to get the work done fast and done right and you dont mind paying the extra money, even if you can through another reputable company, this place should be ok. But definitely get more than one quote if you can if you have time to do it.
I highly recommend this company. Shane came out and replaced our water heater. He was prompt, professional and extremely knowledgeable about the replacement of the water heater. I will for sure call them again! Very reasonable prices too.
Had a refrigerator that needed to be installed. The technician arrived on-time started installing the refrigerator and while installing he noticed that the water line for the ice maker needed to be replaced, he had everything on his truck to fix the water line. The price was very reasonable and the technician was very knowleable about my refrigerator. Would recommend DB Plumbing.
Great experience from my first inquiry call through the completion of the work. Shane was knowledgeable, friendly, and honest about the different options available for my situation. Price was fair for the quality of work, and everything was finished quickly and cleanly. I also appreciated that they had a modern and helpful back-office, including paperless billing. Highly recommended.
