We had a frozen pipe that leaked and caused flooding in our wall and basement. We obtained 2 quotes to repair the break that were similar, but it was Marv's professionalism and the clear and detailed information about DB's process and willingness to answer our questions thoroughly, that gave us confidence in our decision to go with them. So much so that we asked for additional work on-site. DB Plumbing and Drain will be our go to for plumbing services in the future and we plan to use them in the near future for some anticipated work.

I submitted a request for a toilet replacement project through Yelp and DB's responded. They seemed prompt and professional, so I made an appointment. I liked that there was no charge to have a plumber come out and provide an estimate.

I was the first property on the day of the appointment and Duncan was on time. I already purchased the toilet to be installed, so he provided an estimate for the work and I agreed to move forward. He answered all my questions and explained all of the costs and I ended up getting a membership for a future inspection.

The work took about an hour and a half, and Duncan explained a couple of things along the way. Like, he had to use the toilet seat from the old unit because I didn't order one with the new. And the floor was uneven so he had to add a piece to ""shimmy"" the toilet so it wouldn't rock. The caulking dried clear and you can see the piece that was added which is a bit odd, but that's a minor cosmetic detail.

I was satisfied from the time I placed a call for service until the time the plumber completed the job! When I arranged for service I was given multiple choices so I was able to have the work done at a time that worked for me. i was impressed that i was given a 2 hour time block when most plumbers use a 4 hour block meaning I didn't have to wait at home for most of the day.
Duncan, the plumber was neat and efficient and gave me several options with various costs before starting so I could choose what worked for me and my budget. if I had decided not to go forward the estimate would have been free.
DB Plumbing will be the plumber I call for future work.

The tech (Marv J) was excellent. He was professional and pleasant to work with. He explained in detail what he was doing and responded cheerfully and informatively to questions. He personally would get a 5 star rating. The company was very responsive. Marv was at the front door within a few hours of me calling them. The only thing that brought the rating to 4 stars was the cost. $400 is a bit expensive for snaking a shower drain.

DB's Plumbing and Drain has recently completed an extensive project to correct and replace piping in my basement. This involved cleaning of pipes as well as the digging up of an area of my concrete basement floor, the cutting away of the original metal piping (approximately 6-8 feet), which extended from inside the basement to a short portion that reached to the outside.
John B. and Marv J., both very experienced and knowledgeable plumbers, spent an entire day digging up the original piping, cutting it out, and installing the new pvc piping. Prior to starting the work, they were very careful to cover anything that needed protection from concrete dust with plastic coverings. Peyton, Ttan apprentice in the company, also worked with them in completing this work. After they finished, the new pipe looked very good; the work area was cleaned up in preparation for the next stage of this project, which involved backfilling the dirt dug from around the original pipe and covering piping with concrete.
This work was completed by Trevor and John the next day, assisted for part of the time by Peyton. This work involved putting the dirt back around the new pipe, and smoothing new conctete over the area above the pipe.
They brought in fans to help dry the concrete, which will take at least 24 hours to dry.
The work area was cleaned up and some items which had been moved were replaced.
I appreciate so much the high level of professionalism and commitment of John B., Marv J., and Trevor, as well as the fine work and contributions of Peyton. ?

I've used DB's Plumbing and Drain previously to replace my hot water heater. Which they did an excellent job with by the way. This time it was time for the replacement of the expansion tank. My plumber was Marv. He replaced the expansion tank, a very neat and professional job. The plumber discovered that my sump pump was not functioning. He was extremely thorough in his explanation to me with photographs and everything. So, on a follow-up appointment, Marv came back to replace the sump pump. DB's Plumbing and Drain, your guys are very neat and professional and courteous. The sump pump was replaced and you can't even tell anyone was there. I'll be using DB's Plumbing and Drain for all my plumbing needs. I highly recommend this company.

On New Year's day our well pump stopped working, leaving us, a household of 8 without water. I called DB's plumbing the next morning and they sent out a technican, John, to assess the problem. After checking out the system he determied that they would need to pull the pump, which is 400 feet down in the well. John, John, and Trevor spent hours pulling the well pipe out, and when the pump was brought up the casing was corroded, which is what shorted the pump out. Day 2: After getting the parts needed to repair the well, John, and Lil John started the replacement of the pump and water line. That's when it started, a thunder snow, with lightening crackling above us, John and I agreed they needed to stop work for obvious safety reasons. Day 3: The next day was Saturday, and true to his word John showed up to complete the job. The problem was due to the extreme cold the water line was too cold to get into the well. No water Sunday or Monday due to a heavy snow storm dropping 9 inches of snow. Day 3: John, and Trevor worked all day warming and installing the new water pump while working in 9 inches of snow. Once the pump and water line were installed John continued wroking installing the new pressure tank and assemby. After 9 PM we had water running again. John stuck to the job until it was completed even though westher and road conditiobs shut down schools and government operations he was determined to get the water flowing again. I will be using DB's Plumbing again for my plumbing needs, and hppe they continue to hire people as dedicated as John, lil John, and Trevor
