We had a sewer backup in our home. Dayton Sewer and Drain was recommended to us by Howerton Plumbing! Travis was here within an hour of calling and had us back in business in no time. Highly recommend!

Both our toilets were backing up into the tub area. We were afraid that the main sewer line was the issue. My husband called Gene at a little before 8 am and he stated he would be at the house between 11 and 1 pm. He arrived at around 12:40 pm. Gene looked at both toilets and tubs, as well as checked the basement. He then headed to the roof and ran a snake down the vent. Problem solved within 10 minutes! The charge was very reasonable and he had several suggestions on how to prevent the situation from happening again. Would definitely use and recommend!!

We've used Dayton Sewer & Drain for line-cleaning needs at our 62 year-old house in Kettering OH since 2018.

When ""everything"" was backing up & not draining today, I gave them a call a little before 9AM.

Gene promised to be there between 11AM & 1PM. I asked that he call me when he was on his way.

As promised, he called & showed up at the house right on time. He even brought his VERY well behaved 14 year-old Australian Shepherd copilot (who stayed in his vehicle the whole time).

While I thought the problem was due to our daughter's long hair plugging up the drain line from the bathtub, Gene (correctly) diagnosed the problem as a blocked main line.

It took Gene about an hour to use his 300# power auger to cut/extract roots from the main line to the sewer. See the attached picture for the ~4"" x 8"" wad of roots that was plugging the drain.

Once Gene was finished, he checked & double-checked to make sure that everything was draining properly. He made recommendations as to how we should avoid this problem in the future (basically, having roots removed from the line every 2 years or so).

Dayton Sewer & Drain's bill was reasonable for the service they provided.

There was NO attempt to ""up-sell"" us on services not truly needed. Gene quickly determined the problem & fixed it.

We'll keep using Dayton Sewer & Drain in the future.

Gene came out the next morning and unclogged a drain for my mother. The price was reasonable and he was very honest. What more can you ask for.
