They claim to offer 24/7 service but when I called at 6:25 pm today I was informed they actually do not offer hours services at all.

So they are not well named or useful in the event of an after hours plumbing emergency.

First of all, I am sorry to have to leave such a negative review. A couple of weeks ago (when it was 105-110 degrees every day), the motor for the blower on our HVAC system died. The good news was that the part was covered under a 10-year warranty by the manufacturer, but of course we would have to pay for labor. The bad part was the multi speed motor we needed was on back order through several local distributors and would not be available for another 7 to 10 business days.

So I called Day & Night and explained that I had already located the part in two other states, and it could be FedEx to us (or them) the next day for $80.

I asked the company to send someone out to give us a second opinion. They said the service charge would be $89 and sent out a very experienced technician the next day who confirmed the fact that we needed a new motor -- and that the part cost would be covered 100% by the manufacturers warranty.

The technician called his manager and then told me that although the part was free, the ""acquisition fee"" for the motor, plus labor would be $1,300.

I had researched online that it's a simple job to install the motor - and usually takes less than two hours. To the technician's credit and honesty, he confirmed that with 18 years experience, he could do the job in much less than two hours.

So I candidly asked him why was I being charged $1300 - since that's $650 an hour. (Of course, I do realize businesses have overhead expenses.)

It looks like the tech used the same line as in the next review because he said ""well, we're not the cheapest in town."" Now that's an understatement if ever there was one!

Obviously, the company was looking to take advantage of us since they knew that we had been without air-conditioning already for five days. (Maybe it's also because we live in a nice house?) Regardless, I think those kind of business practices are just reprehensible.

Luckily, the people that we have our maintenance contract with (Delta) got the part in a little bit sooner than expected, loaned us portable A/C units in the meantime at no charge, installed the unit in under two hours, and charged us a total of $500.

Guess who we will be continuing to use! Hope this is helpful.

Ken, Day & Night A/C, solved my A/C issues in what was to become a very PLEASANT company experience. He noted up front, that D/N was not the ""cheapest"" game in town (Phoenix area) and proceeded to set up a new system, which another company (Parker & Sons) ""walked away"" from.

When the D&N team came for the installation, they were efficient, polite, and thoroughly cleaned before leaving. The same goes for D&N's front office staff who took my call and arranged the schedule to accommodate me 100%. I have not experienced very many other companies--regardless of the business--provide such great and professional (5-star) service.

In the beginning, we had the best experience installing a new AC--it was easy and went smooth. We got a bigger unit because we planned on adding square footage. fast forward to one year later, we are doing a room addition (that we were upfront and told the people about)--everything was installed improperly. the service and return diameters were not functional and killing our brand new unit. The person who installed it took zero notes and didn't even get in our attic. We are still currently dealing with the situation and Day and Night is taking no accountability for their mistakes.

Our AC went out on a late Friday afternoon when we were in an excessive heat warning. The company graciously sent us a repair person for the following day. We really apprecited the technician , Gab Ortiz who came out for the repair. He was supportive of our discomfort at being half..or 3/4 baked without having the air conditioner working. He was very knowledgeable and took time to answer all our questions in a polite and calm manner. He was able to quickly figure out what the problem was and fixed it. He also offered some good advice about what may have led to the issue and what was needed in the future. Gab Ortiz made us feel comfortable by his amiable demeanor and at no time did he ever make us feel he was bothered by our questions. He is an employee that we hope Day and Night will show appreciation to by increasing his wages as he is definitely ""a keeper"" for the company and worth it..

Tech was on time. Advised me of problems. Tech was here several hours and fixed all problems. My complaint and reason for only 3 stars was the cost. Prices were not , in my opinion, reasonable. I would advise any future customer to obtain a second opinion.

They purchased an honest repair A/C company and replaced it with deceptive sales practices. They won't give an itemized quote for replacing a compressor, their quote for replacing the compressor under warranty was $500 higher than another company that was not going to replace it under warranty. I just wanted to know what I'm spending money on. When I asked more questions trying to get an understanding of what exactly I was paying for. The technician said the tablet wouldn't breakdown the costs. I have video footage of the technician inspecting the unit if that helps.***** I got a Goodman dealer to quote on the repair for half price of your quote
