Greetings, I’m Dusty Dawson. I have been in the plumbing trade for over two decades. I have a passion for the plumbing trade. This trade has been very beneficial for my family and me. I feel that genuine “TradesMen” are a dwindling group. I would love to see more young individuals enter the trade. Dawsons Plumbing is proudly family-owned and operated. We take pride in delivering quality services to our community.
I lean towards service plumbing because I enjoy interacting with new faces and being involved in the community.

Recommended Customer Reviews

They don't return calls. They didn't finish the work that they were paid to do. Very frustrating.

Paid them around 7k to install new water line and they screwed up the hydrant style hose bib installation. I know this because I had to dig it out and redo it. They buried it in dirt, and what they were supposed to do was use rock and NOT DIRT. I called them and no answer and no call back. I ended up tricking him (Dusty) to call me by setting up a new account and saying I needed a water heater replaced. He responded right away with that. Dude is terrible and I DO NOT RECOMMEND using his company.

They came out and fixed a leaking pipe on short notice. They were prompt, professional, cleaned up, and the price was fair. They communicated the overall problem and went over the subsequent fix well. Thanks for your help!

We had Dawson's install a new gas on demand water heater and everything went well. It went so well that we had them come to bid other jobs for us including our sump pump and more ad-ons for the water heater. Never got the bid, never followed up, never contacted us again. It's been two months and they completely ghosted us. We really liked Dusty and his team, I'm not sure what went awry but I can no longer recommend them.

I was connected to Dawsons Plumbing through my home warranty company. They had to replace a pressure regulator which was discovered after diagnosing another problem.
They really did a nice job. In addition to replacing the pressure valve the technician also took care of the water shutoff valve and reinstalled everything making it look more professional than it did originally.
The other thing was the speed of service. Considering how long run times can be these days they were able to get me scheduled in less than a week of my phone call and they arrived with all the necessary parts and were finished in under an hour. They also left the worksite clean.
Thanks!

I would like to start out and say I was pretty happy when my home warranty service request was assigned to Dawson as they have very decent Yelp reviews, but things turned out very different, they are very sloppy and very unprofessional, and let me explain why I said that.
I submitted a service request which involve multiple plumbing issues, Dawson got the request and the tech arrived on time. They measured water pressure and found it was a little bit high, and then even before they looked at my actual plumbing issues, they started saying they were not covered because water pressure is too high. My tenants didn't quite believe that because there were things that are so obviouly not water pressure related (I will detail those later). The tech then said he was going to give me a call (I am in California), but I never received any call until my tenants told me he quickly left without even working on any items!
I soon received a diagonosis report from home warranty company and I felt halarious looking at the report, which shows how unprofessional DAWSON is! They quote everything on the water pressure! Here are a few funny ones:
1. Shower head came loose, and they said it was due to the water pressure! Isn't that funny? As an engineer I know shower head was not even affected by water pressure, it exposes to water pressure only when it was turned on!
2. Faucet handle not turning, again they blame it on water pressure!
3. Toilet lever broken, again they blame it on water pressure! How could those two parts that has not access to water pressure been affected by water pressure?!
4. Most funny one: Kitchen faucet leak; they blame it on missing component so that warranty won't cover it and they don't have to do any work, that's so low, how could a faucet that has been working for over 8 years missing component?!
5. Think you saw the most funny one? Guess what, even funnier this one. The toilet lid was broken (this is indeed due to misuse), and they told my tenant there is nowhere to replace that lid and they need to replace the whole toilet and they could give us a discount. I will tell you guys what the other Plumbing company said and did!
All in all, Dawson just want to get the quick money of $125 service fee and left without doing any job. Most absurdly they even come up with a list of non-covered cost that tallies up to $1650 (for a few faucet leak and toilet malfunction), and said they could give me a discount. Well, I am not stupid.
So I contact home warranty company (I have to give a thumb up to home warranty company this time, they are just doing their job based on diagnosis, it was the technician who unprofessionally screwed up everything.), and they assigned another plumbing company for a second opinion. Here is what the other plumbing company did:
They also checked water pressure, it was within the code. The tech further said that even the water pressure was indeed slightly high, ALL the plumbing issues had nothing to do with water pressure, they wrote that in the report! About the kitchen faucet, the other plumbing company said there was nothing missing, it was simply a normal wear and tear, he said that there is no way something could work for 8 years with no problem with parts missing.
About the toilet lid, he told my tenant it was not covered but there are tons of cheap place to get a lid for tens of dollars, he even gave them a web link to place order!
The tech from the other plumbing company worked a whole 2 hours overtime on Saturday to fix all these issues, he said most of them are really minor issues, the cost are pretty much labor, but no way it would cost $1650 to fix all these (you guys figure out by yourself, couple of fill valves, shower head, lever, supply line, two hours of labor). He even sent out photo report of everything he diagonosed and fixed/replaced with pictures of before and after! We tipped the other tech really well.
I would like to conclude by saying if something is our fault, we had no problem accepting that, like the toilet lid. And as engineer I have my common sense as what are indeed related to water pressure. However blatantly lying to customer and warranty company and just trying to make easy money and ripping customer off is not professional and ethical at all. Shame on you.

I was having water pressure issues- low pressure when the hot water was flowing from multiple faucets. Initially, I thought it was my 17-year-old hot water heater needing to be replaced. It turns out I needed the pressure regulator value (PRV) replaced.
After talking with my local water district about PRVs and learning way more than I wanted to (lol) I also talked with several plumbers. Replacing my outdated hot water heater wasn't necessary but I decided to go that route since a plumber would be @ my house anyway to work on the PRV. With the price increase in products these days I thought now would be better than waiting when I could be in an emergency situation and it costing me more later. I received about 5 bids and Dawsons quote was mid-range which is what I wanted.
I had originally decided to hire a different plumber but wanted to get a 2nd opinion to see if the PRV was causing the pressure issue. Most of the plumbers quoted me about the same price for the replacement of a hot water heater- the price difference was in the PRV replacement. I ended up choosing Dawsons over the other plumber because Dusty is seriously the best when it comes to customer service... from beginning to end. He answered all of my questions in a super friendly way and offered multiple options for repairing the PRV. Unfortunately, I didn't receive the same service from some of the other plumbers. Dawsons re-routed my PRV from the ground by the sidewalk in front of my house to the crawl space in my garage and installed a shut off value, replaced my hot water heater and installed an expansion tank. Caden and Dusty are hardworking, courteous and professional. I highly recommend them, they did such a great job!!!

We had a massive leak in our main line and I found The Crew here on Yelp. Caden responded and I got some details on what our leak could be since we have had three other neighbors with the same issue. Caden responded very quickly and gave me a free estimate for our repairs. When he came out I felt like he really went the extra mile to diagnose our issue, as he followed the crawl space all the way to where the main connected to our house and he found the issue and said the water leak was SO bad that he could hear the water running.
We submitted the estimate from here and one other company and our landlord chose these guys based on my recommendation as well as the cost being considerably less.
The city messed up our locator service request and went to the wrong address so we had to push our appointment back one day. But we got it done. Caden was in and out of the house a ton and very respectful and responsible for our pets to stay in (we have 3 cats and a dog, all who will try to sneak out open doors.) He also made sure not a speck of dirt was tracked into our house.
I had posted some photos of the outside and garage before finishing my review, as we were waiting to schedule our Delta cartridges being replaced as those leaks in the bathrooms are driving me crazy and leave mildew and mold after a couple of days and it doesn't matter how much I clean. However, I didn't realize that wasn't on the initial estimate and asked Caden to order them. When we scheduled it, our landlord wasn't aware of the other charge and Isabelle (I'm sorry if it's Izabelle...I don't know the spelling!) Called me to say they had to wait to schedule until they approved it. Which is totally understandable.
However, Caden saw the photos I had posted and felt they didn't paint an accurate picture of the work he had done and how much care he took to ensure he kept the inside of our home clean. After all, I had only put pictures of what outdoor mess was left. Not like I can put photos of the good job they did on putting new pipes in, though I should have posted a photo of the new shut off we have. The original pipes and plumbing done by the developer made it so that the only shut off was AT the water meter on the street, and for that you needed a special wrench to shut it off. Now we have one as soon as you open the crawl space and it's very easy to shut off.
Now to get back to our story, Caden decided he didn't want to come back to do the cartridges since it seemed I had only posted negative photos to Yelp, which doesn't fully represent their company. That was relayed to me through our landlord. I was pretty annoyed as I only posted true photos. But they didn't tell the full story in Caden's defense. I called back and spoke to Isabelle and told her I wasn't posting anything malicious or to be rude, I had in fact wanted and intended to give them a great review until he wouldn't come back because that's super frustrating for me. Especially since those little leaks are driving me nuts. Isabelle called me back and said that Caden wanted to speak to me about it so he then called me.
Caden let me know that my husband told him that everything looked great when they left and they don't have the ability to pressure wash concrete, but did the best they could. I told him that I swept the garage and driveway twice and used our leaf blower to get rid of the rest of the dirt. I had to do that since we use the garage for all of our coming and going and I knew that mud and dirt would get tracked in if we didn't. Caden said he understood and he apologized for any miscommunication on their end as far as cleanup and asked if I still wanted him to finish the repairs. I said yes, and honestly should have apologized for any miscommunication on my end too, and we agreed that they would coordinate with our landlord to finish. I have no doubt he will do a great job as he did with the other plumbing. I personally think that they deserve 5 stars because as young as Caden is, to have taken the initiative to speak to me about the photos we came to an agreement and he saw I wasn't trying to misrepresent their company. He also never asked me to change, remove or alter them or my review, like another company I experienced last year did. They have both quality of work and integrity as well as solid customer service here. Hope we can schedule that leak being fixed soon! I'll take before and after videos. Because they are BAD! Thanks Caden!!

Great service! The Plumber came in and worked effective & efficiently to install my toilet. His price is very reasonable compared to others in the area. Would definitely recommend to others.

Started out great and crew was friendly and attentive to what we needed. But they overpromised and underdelivered. The most frustrating part working with them was they suddenly broke down in communication as if they ghosted you. As a customer I was left feeling stressed because they had poor follow up to any questions or confusions and didn't have the experience nor strong leadership to follow through. And things were left taken out of context.
The avoidance and lack of responsibilty to any misunderstandings was extremely stressful in the end and we had to work with another company more professional and reliable. They just didn't have the experience, organization nor communication to handle big home projects.
