Dawson Mechanical was instrumental in my successful switch from oil to gas heat when they installed Navien combi units in my home. The install was executed flawlessly and the cost per value for the product and service was reasonable.
Dave and his staff Wanda, Ricky and William were knowledgeable and professional. Dave walks you through the process step by step and was accommodating to answer my numerous questions.
When the inspectors came on two different occasions they both asked who did this job because they said you don't see craftsmanship like this anymore. I look forward to working with Dawson Mechencal for the maintenance of these units for years to come.

Just before Christmas 2022 our furnace started venting steam out the chimney. We called Dawson (who converted our furnace to gas) and they came out two days before Christmas and replaced the entire unit. Dave even called me on Christmas Day to check if it was working! However, when I got home we noticed water on the floor. A small crack had developed in the close to 100 year old cast iron return pipe. Matt came out a few days later and replaced the entire return system with all copper pipe and it works like a charm and looks good too.

We have been planning a renovation for the past few months (kitchen and bathroom). Part of that renovation was a new tankless water and water softener (which was sorely needed given how hard our water is). Matt installed those two systems over the course of two days.

Dawson Mechanical has been reliable and their prices are competitive with other plumbers in our area. They work quickly, cleanly and most importantly the things they install work. I have recommended them numerous times.

The low reviews seem to be from people confused as to not only how services are priced, but how people in New Jersey act. Plumbing and electrical are skilled trades and the people doing those jobs deserve the money they get. Dave and his employees have always been truthful and respectful. I will continue to use them in the future.

this is my second review. as in my review stated before, Dave overcharged us on a service he said would take all day because it was difficult job which took him less than 2 hours to do. he justified his high price based on how long the job would take which was untruthful. he just overcharged us and took advantage so I left a negative review. He just called my husband to let him know i posted a negative review about him and his company. i am entitled to speak my mind and let others know how this man runs his business. Dave then in turn told my husband that he would not come back to service the machine if anything went wrong with it even after we have a contract saying the parts are covered under a one year warranty. my husband told him business is business and he is obligated to cover his warranty agreement which then Dave told him too bad he wont because he is upset over my honest bad review. Talk about a being an immature person! this man should not be in the customer service business if he cant honor his contracts and handle the truth.

I originally reviewed Dawson some years ago--and this morning--a snowy Saturday--I need them with some urgency as my furnace was leaking water. Dawson showed up quickly and, with a superb professionalism and knowledge, repaired the problem. I have an old house with a plumbing system from the 1930s, and Dawson updated the system in a manner designed to avoid problems in the future. Good job. Fair price. Fast service. Highly recommended.

Had these guys replace steam radiator valve. Very professional, clean, courteous and fast work. It was an emergency call and the response was within 30 minutes. Emergency premium which I was charged was reasonable, not excessive and definitely worth a warm house in the middle of December. Thank you, Dawson!

Dawson installed my tankless hot water system. They did a fantastic job. All the workers were friendly and professional. They took care to put down drop cloths everywhere they planned to walk and work. The plumbing looks amazing, all the copper was cut and bent on site exactly to the right dimensions. Other plumbers have come in for other things and stop and just stare at Dawson's work and comment about how perfect it looks. Everything works great, and the work was done quickly. GREAT!
