Michael Davis started Davis Services, Inc. in 1972, a family-run business based in Spartanburg. He still leads the company alongside his sons, Brian and Nick. Initially, Davis Services concentrated on heating and air. We have recently expanded our services to encompass plumbing and electrical work. Davis Services takes pride in employing skilled technicians certified in various fields. This allows us to provide our customers with exceptional service. We aim to create, engineer, and install complete comfort systems for homeowners and businesses in the area. I began Michael Davis Heating and Air Conditioning in September 1972, driving a 1967 GMC truck and fueled by my passion for heating and cooling. Over the years, my solo venture has transformed into Davis Services, Inc., a top heating and cooling service company in South Carolina.

The success of Davis Services, Inc. is closely tied to the exceptional people I have surrounded myself with in the industry. We invest many hours in training to keep up with new products and services in our field. We emphasize honesty and integrity in every interaction with our customers, suppliers, and coworkers.

Very good work, but VERY PRICEY. I recommend getting 2nd opinion. we used them because they were available and we wanted work completed before Christmas.

Davis came out to trouble shoot a six month old Goodman Hvac. They sent a skilled Tech Bruce that did a good job repairing it. They charged $800 to thaw out the unit and $2200 to repair it. They then asked me to pay them an additional $200 in order for them to file with Goodman and get my reimbursement on a $1200 Coil. I would be sent back this money. Well when I called to ask when I'd receive my warrantied Coil money back of $1200 I was told they kept it because I owed them $1200 to place the Coil on the unit. I then called and spoke to the original owner's son named Brian Davis. He explained that he kept my warranty refund because it cost that to repair my unit. I was still not satisfied with his explanation so I drove from Greenville to his office in Boiling Springs to get a better understanding of why I was charged $3200 plus $1200 to replace a warrantied coil. Brian was seated behind a huge wood desk that you'd normally see in an attorneys office with Clemson paraphernalia every where. He reminded me of a shady used car salesman. He gave me a $20 City Range gift card and gave me a long speal of why it cost $4400 to repair my unit. He spoke to me as if I were not even a Ninth Grade graduate. Failing to realize that I was an educated woman. Eight weeks passed and my unit stoped working again. I contacted Brian Davis again making him aware of the fact that it had stopped working again. He told me that my coil was only warrantied for 30 days. And the paper work clearly stated that I had a year warranty on the coil. During this phone conversation he talked about """"who did you have install it ?"""" He told me """" I bet I have more education than you. """" I then told him he was gas lighting me. He then asked what that meant ? I responded by saying """" it's when a person speaks of everything but the subject at hand. """" Do Not Use this company !! I was told the original owner was a man of Character however his son Brian Davis who has taken over should be ashamed of price gouging and being unscrupulous !!!!!!

our toilet stopped flushing and after calling several other companies, I contacted Davis plumbing again. they did some insurance work a few months prior with good results. we also had an issue where it sounded like air was coming out of the sink faucets that we needed checked. the plumber arrived at approximately 120 pm. he checked the toilet and then it seemed like 30 minutes later, he gave us a quote for 342.00 to replace the flushing device. we asked for our military discount and even with a calculator could not figure ten percent of 342.00 which is 34.20 leaving is 307.80. I had to tell him that. he went back to the bathroom and started working and then came down and told us he did not have a part for the American standard toilet and it might be cheaper just to buy a new toilet. after a while, he left and went to Lowe's for the part and disappeared for close to 90 minuyes. Lowe's is 10 minutes from our house. he installed it and then told us the sinks needed new faucets but we had time as it was not an issue at this time. three days later, we went back to trying to use the master bath sinks again. one had no issues, whereas the cold water was turned off in one, my husband went and was going to turn it on but water was now leaking into the cabinet. called Davis to report this and their response was why did it take you three days to use that sink again and nothing else but we can come out and replace the faucets, and of course charge you big time. they did not believe their tech would turn off the water and not turn it back on nor not tell us it was leaking. we have bowls under the sink catching the water now until a new person we hired could come out next week,

We had a gas leak and called Davis heating and air and they came out again, again, again and again. They said that they do these type of jobs but without coming back 4 times. Unprofessional and sloppy.

It s sad when a previously reputable company becomes the worst. Service call for non working AC. Tech comes out who has a bad attitude and misdiagnoses the problem. Says the condensation line is clogged. Says he fixed it. $188. Two weeks later and the problem is back. Sends what they call a senior tech out who once again tells us it is the outside condensation line. Then tells us we need to spend $2400 for him to pull out the coil and clean it and install a new condensation line. But, my husband has been in the attic and looked and the drip pan is dry. Husband knows that the clog is between the unit and the drip pan. Tells the 'senior' tech and you can see his face realize he was wrong as well as the first tech. Goes up and cleans that and now we have to pay again. We cancel our Advantage plan and my husband tried repeatedly to call the service manager to let him know of the incompetence of his personnel. Can only get an answering machine and never gets called back because they no longer care about the customer. Run from this company. When they say to feel the Davis difference it is ANGER.

Not real happy!! $75 service call, which is NOT applied to the work. Having the exact same issue with my heat as last year, do they tell the tech what was done, or forward last year's work NO! I tell the tech when got here it was doing the same thing as before (9 months ago). Charges me an additional $66 to check for an electrical short, then comes back and tells me it is the valve they replaced!!! Took a week to get the part, under warranty. No charge for return trip. I guess not since you already got $141.00. My $66 should be refunded, the technician should of checked what I said since it was doing the exact same thing! I feel you ripped me off Davis. To top all this off, ... I also paid for the """"cleaning """" program no appointments available until December!! You've got to kidding me. Temperatures are dropping now, while the technician was here, he could have should have completed the service. So, now I have to wait another month!!

Today I have decided to cancel my service contract with Davis Services. My mother also has a service contract. They misdiagnosed my mother's heat pump with a coolant/freon leak and told her that she needed new system and wanted to charge her over $8,000 for a new system for a 1800 sq ft home. We got a second opinion and this technician said there was nothing wrong with the compressor and no leaks. It may have been a wrongly set thermostat. Now my mother having a problem with her heat pump and Davis is refusing to come out and fix the issue. They said that she canceled the new heat pump install and they will no longer work on the heat pump even if it is a blower motor that is not working. Beware of them if you are elderly. They will try to take advantage of you.

We contacted Davis for a repair job on our central air conditioner and the technician was honest and open with me about the situation. We ultimately decided to replace the entire system at a cost of just over $9K. I was generally pleased with the service as a tech came out and installed some window units so that we would have some cooling since they couldn't get to the replacement for a week. The work was done in a timely and efficient manner and we are happy with the system. The poor rating above does not reflect the work but the manner in which it was sold to us. This house is a parsonage so I am not personally responsible for the cost of this job. The salesman was told that and I was still told that it could be financed for 18 months same as cash. He did not explain that it couldn't be financed to the church or that the financing was not through Davis at all but Wells Fargo bank. Unfortunately my personal credit is not great and WF turned down our request for less than half of the total as we had paid a big chunk down. This put the church is a difficult position financially as we did not expect to have to pay the entire amount at one time. We might have done things differently had this been well explained at the beginning.

Wish I would have read the reviews before I called. Guy came out late charged 219 to do nothing. 40 to cut a weed out. Tried to charge 1500 to fix things that were not even wrong. He left and I paid 219 for nothing . Called another company out they fixed it for 150. It did not need any of the things Davis was trying to charge me for. A bunch of crooks. I would not give them any stars but had to pick one before it would let me submit.
