Michael Davis started Davis Services, Inc. in 1972, a family-run business based in Spartanburg. The company is still under the leadership of Michael and his sons, Brian and Nick. Davis Services began with a focus on heating and air. Recently, we have broadened our offerings to include plumbing and electrical services. I began Michael Davis Heating and Air Conditioning in September 1972, driving a 1967 GMC truck and fueled by my passion for heating and cooling. Over the years, my solo venture has transformed into Davis Services, Inc., a top heating and cooling service company in South Carolina.

our toilet stopped flushing and after calling several other companies, I contacted Davis plumbing again. they did some insurance work a few months prior with good results. we also had an issue where it sounded like air was coming out of the sink faucets that we needed checked. the plumber arrived at approximately 120 pm. he checked the toilet and then it seemed like 30 minutes later, he gave us a quote for 342.00 to replace the flushing device. we asked for our military discount and even with a calculator could not figure ten percent of 342.00 which is 34.20 leaving is 307.80. I had to tell him that. he went back to the bathroom and started working and then came down and told us he did not have a part for the American standard toilet and it might be cheaper just to buy a new toilet. after a while, he left and went to Lowe's for the part and disappeared for close to 90 minuyes. Lowe's is 10 minutes from our house. he installed it and then told us the sinks needed new faucets but we had time as it was not an issue at this time. three days later, we went back to trying to use the master bath sinks again. one had no issues, whereas the cold water was turned off in one, my husband went and was going to turn it on but water was now leaking into the cabinet. called Davis to report this and their response was why did it take you three days to use that sink again and nothing else but we can come out and replace the faucets, and of course charge you big time. they did not believe their tech would turn off the water and not turn it back on nor not tell us it was leaking. we have bowls under the sink catching the water now until a new person we hired could come out next week,

I terminated Davis Services last summer after terrible service. I spoke to the manager then and he was amazingly rude to me. They keep charging my credit card and I cant get them to stop. I have written and called. I have employed a new company to service my furnace. The people they sent to my house did not leave it in the same condition they found it.They turned the air way down and all the windows were open. They didn't bother to put the thermostat back as they found it and our house was cooled for with all windows open for hours before I found it . When I called they said it was my problem. They left doors open and the furnace room open too. I do not recommend this company. Please ignore their fancy advertising on TV.

Got jerked around.Looking for Greenville heating co. Spartanburg is just way too far when traffic on 85 is a graveyard. Very expensive. Tech offered to take $75.00 and go when I questioned prices and methods. Wanted thousands to find refrigerant leak. Need to find a system with better warranty and quality. Davis is not what they sounded like on radio. 2 stars.

These guys are cooks my sister bought a unit that had gotten a leak still in parts warrenty period, Davis service tech came out charged $700.00 only charged a leaky system did not search for the leak also sold her some things she did not need. 1 month later still leaking not cooling again. This time charged the unit again knowing it had a leak I forced them to look for it, cost $359.00. 2lbs freon both times. Told us coil was bad $1350.00 and no parts warranty, I said no got a second opinion turned out to be leaky reverse valve $250.00 part and freon fixed. don't use these crooks.

We called Davis when our hot water heater exploded and we needed a new one. The previous home owner put a hole in the deck in order to allow access to the crawlspace. She shouldn't have even put in a deck because they were unable to get the old hot water heater out of the hole. We had to put in an aquahut. It was expensive (though we got three quotes and they were all expensive) and now we have an eyesore on the outside of the house but the work was efficient, timely, and there is hot water so we can't complain. The person who quoted us was a little sexist because he mostly talked to my partner (male) instead of me regarding home repairs.

This company does not treat customers well. They look for any chance to charge for a service call and diagnostic fee. We had to call them 3 times in 3 weeks and the last tech they had was the icing on top. Bruce came to check the thermostat out which we had just replaced and knew worked for the home for several years, and he says the thermostat is the problem. He suggests that we buy a $50 retail thermostat from him for $200 and we would be A ok. We asked if we could just buy the thermostat retail and put it in ourselves and he said no, you will blow a fuse. I asked if there was a reason that this would be wired poorly to make a new thermostat not work, but he insisted that we were incapable of doing it. When discussing pricing options I had my wife on the line and he laughed at her whenever she was trying to discuss pricing options or what was happening with the system. He then states that he has other customers to see and we can't be wasting anymore of his time. I guess we aren't customers huh? Thanks for your stellar service Bruce. Never use this company if you would like it fixed the first time.

If I could give them a big fat goose egg - no stars - I would. Know their commercials - """"Feel The Davis difference""""? Yeah. We felt it. In our wallets and service. They sold us freon for our downstairs unit that then leaked out, and their service guy in our attic evidently bumped that AC unit and dislodged the drain pan. Next day we had water spots all over our bedroom ceiling. I called them for answers (since we bought a service contract) and got nothing but blame and sarcasm from the Service Manager. I wouldn't buy a ham sandwich from these people. Steer clear - way clear.

The rating I would truly give this company is below a 0. Air went out on Friday. Unit is 3 1/2 years old part was under warranty. The lady I dealt with needs to learn courtesy. When she quoted the service price I told her I would have to call back once talking with my husband. I called back within 30 minutes had to leave message to order part. The following day I had to notify them, the same lady called but would not talk with me she hung up on me. Once she talked with my husband it was told I said the price was to high and that I hung up on her. Also told my husband they couldn't order part until they knew it would be paid for. Service charge was $568, after her comment wonder now if I paid for the part. Took 1 week to get the air back on. I have paid for 1 year service I'm asking for a refund minus 1 service

We contacted Davis for a repair job on our central air conditioner and the technician was honest and open with me about the situation. We ultimately decided to replace the entire system at a cost of just over $9K. I was generally pleased with the service as a tech came out and installed some window units so that we would have some cooling since they couldn't get to the replacement for a week. The work was done in a timely and efficient manner and we are happy with the system. The poor rating above does not reflect the work but the manner in which it was sold to us. This house is a parsonage so I am not personally responsible for the cost of this job. The salesman was told that and I was still told that it could be financed for 18 months same as cash. He did not explain that it couldn't be financed to the church or that the financing was not through Davis at all but Wells Fargo bank. Unfortunately my personal credit is not great and WF turned down our request for less than half of the total as we had paid a big chunk down. This put the church is a difficult position financially as we did not expect to have to pay the entire amount at one time. We might have done things differently had this been well explained at the beginning.
