Updated 4/18/2015 Let's clarify this.. 1) Bruce did not mentioned to me the schedule all booked up for two weeks straight. Period. Bruce just said he couldn't send anyone to my place that same day I called. When I told him I did not need anyone to come that day, he suggested me to call Superior Plumbing. To a customer, it was presented as if no one wants her business. 2) customer service/ experience starts when a customer calls up a business. I did not make this rule, I have been in hospitality industry for a very long time, it stinks but we all have to deal with it. Oh and not whine about the ratings, my one star did not reduce the rating here. It was 4 before I shared my experience, and still 4 after I posted my review. Please do not try to discredit someone's review here, it is not cool.

I was in the middle of an expensive kitchen remodel when I needed to have my water heater replaced. Most of the plumbing companies I called couldn't give me a straight answer on how much it would cost or breakdown of the budget. Not only did Davis plumbing give me straight forward honest answers, they also quoted a fair price. I would highly recommend using this company.

Let's face it, calling a plumber ranks high on just about everyone's list of least favorite things to do. After having some plumbing problems, I called a number of plumbers, left many voicemails and a spoke with a couple of others who were uncertain when they can get out. Luckily, I connected with Davis Plumbing, talked to Melvin and got very prompt and professional service. Bottom line, these guys are on top of their game and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs both large and small plumbing work.

Even though there were bad reviews, I decided to choose Davis plumbing because it seems as thought they follow trough and want people to have a good experience. With that being said I didn't I called yesterday 11/20/14 to get a quote on a simple clog that needed fixing. I was quoted by the """"master plumber"""" $165. Which was fine. Upon late arrival (I called him, he didn't call me), he unclogged the drain then charged me.... 185. If that was the price I would've chosen a different plumber. But that's besides the point. My card was swiped. He said it was declined although there was plenty of money available. So I swiped another. Now two of my cards have been charged $185 that I really didn't agree to. I've called 4 times today 11/21/14. No answer no response. and the have my money. I was trying to establish a relationship with this company. But due to this unfortunate event and the fact that they dont answer the phone, I don't think I can. Please follow through with quotes, don't charge double, and answer paying customers phone calls. It's common courtesy. Thank you. It's 2 stars because the drain is fixed. Would've been had they answered the phone or charged me the correct price.

Prompt, Professional and Great service! I e-mailed Davis Plumbing at 12:30am and by 5:15am the next morning I received an email back asking where we lived and letting me know I would be contacted soon to set up a time. Terrence called me at 8:00am and they were here by 9:30am! They figured out that my disposal was broken. They gave me the option of me going out to buy a new disposal or they could and then install it. I opted for them going to buy it. They had everything done and installed by 11:00am I was impressed with their service. I will call them again when I have another plumbing need. Thank you Davis Plumbing! 5+ stars!

Do not waste your time. I set up an appt a week in advance and they were a no show. When I called, they said they had been busy and would call back. That guy said ' sorry, I talk to a lot of people'. So apparently they don't really make appointments, but if they happen to remember you called they may come out. Absolutely disgraceful.

Davis Plumbing is awesome! I was selling my home and my buyer's inspector required that we install a thermal expansion tank and electrical disconnect on the water heater to meet code. I started calling around to several plumbers asking for estimates. When I called Davis Plumbing and listed off what I needed, he gave me an estimate similar to the other plumbers that I called. However, after he gave me the estimate he started asking questions about why I needed it. After explaining the situation in more detail, he named off a couple of parts that I could buy on the internet that would be simple to install myself and would meet the code requirements. I then contacted my buyer's agent, who contacted the buyers inspector and confirmed that these proposed solutions were acceptable. Total cost to buy the items online was $27.95 and took about 30 minutes to install myself. He ended up saving me over $500 and he didn't even make a dime off of me! Obviously this company has the customer's best interest in mind and although they didn't do any actual work for me, I would highly recommend calling them for a free consultation; he could save you a lot of money. Thanks again!

If I could not give this place any stars I would ! by far the worst experience I've ever had with a business owner. Let me begin by saying I am renting a condo and have recently had a few issues arise that required a plumber. After searching and reading yelp reviews I decided to go with Davis Plumbing. I called and spoke with Melvin(the owner) a few days back and I thought that this would be a great experience as he was quick to respond with a quote of what he thought the repairs would cost based on the problems I had explained. After working the logistics out with my landlord as far as payment goes I went ahead and scheduled an appointment. Verbally yesterday Melvin and I agreed we would schedule a 3:30 appointment for today to assess the issues. he also asked if I could send him a text of my address as this was the best way to communicate. Everything seemed like it was all set to go as after I text him all my info I didn't hear anything. Well after leaving work 2 hours early, and having my fiancé leave work early as I felt more comfortable having him here , we came home to no one waiting ..which was also disc. the day before as Melvin had mentioned he would get here a few minutes early and would be waiting for me in case I was running a few minutes late. Finally around 4 pm I called thinking there was traffic or a delay else where. Melvin explained that he would contact me with one of his guys that was on route.. well after speaking to that guy who said he was never aware of his appointment with me nor did Melvin ever give him any info at all regarding my situation , I decided to call Melvin back. He then so rudely accused me of never sending him my information even though I sent the text directly to the same text thread were he sent me the intial quote. Fast forward 5 minutes of him raising his voice to me and basically calling me a liar about sending the text he explains to me that he was just too busy to call me back to let me know that he never received my info... like as if that is at all ok.. after our convo I was obviously heated so I had my fiancé call to talk to him, immediately Melvin became defensive and raised his voice even though my fiancé was staying very calm and asking legit questions as to why he never showed. the conversation ended with him saying F YOU! wow.. I know this was long but worth the read I promise. Please be cautious if planning to use this company and Melvin im sure you will read this and try to respond in the most """"professional"""" way possible but save your breath theres no way you'd come back from that. worst customer service EVER.

Like most of Atlanta, we had a pipe freeze on us and an outside pipe burst the week of January 6th, flooding our basement. Thank you Al Gore and Global Warming. The first plumber I had called was outside of my area but recommended Davis Plumbing. Given the amount of homeowners having issues, there was a backlog. The good news is that I still had water to the inside of the house and could afford to wait a few days. Alex was the guy on the job, and he did a very good job quickly fixing the issue. He also spoke with me about some other issues (not related to the pipe bursting) and offered some suggestions. I feel like Davis Plumbing is an honestly run company, and that is largely overlooked in the service industry in Atlanta. I felt like their prices were good as well. The only thing that was an small issue was having to change around the schedule slightly today. Thankfully, I was able to adjust, and the job didn't take as long as I expected. I would recommend Davis Plumbing.

I spoke with these guys yesterday and was assured someone would be at one of my rental units today between 1-3. I have a toilet leaking and it has damaged the unit below. I coordinated with the tenant as well as the resident below to be there. No one showed up nor called to cancel. I called Davis plumbing three times today and it went to a mailbox that was full. What a complete waste of time. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.
