Steve Davis of Davis Plumbing was unbelievably helpful over the phone (he called us back right away) in diagnosing a curious plumbing problem. Originally we thought it was the water heater, and we were ready to buy a new one., but it turned out to be the recirculating pump. He saved us lots of time and money! He's very knowledgeable and I highly recommended him.

BUYER BEWARE: I would not hire Davis Plumbing unless you don't care about the cost. I was told on the phone he charged $160/hr. and he estimated it would take an hour or two. Steve arrived 25 minutes late (no phone call) and he and his assistant spent just a few minutes over an hour removing a vessel sink, replacing it with another. I was expecting a bill of $160 + parts. Instead, he charged me $860.
Line 1 lists ""Vessel sink removal"" with Labor costs of $160.
Line 2 also lists ""Vessel sink removal"" with a labor cost of $640.
That's labor charges for 4 hours when he and his assistant only spent 1 hour. On top of that, there was a $40 fee for a ""service call"". He discounted the $840 price by $160 immediately which IMO should never have been on the bill to begin with. When I protested the charges, he took another $100 off. But I am still very unhappy about his bill and his lack of communication. I NEVER would have hired him if I had known that replacing that sink would cost $600. I feel the total cost should have been at most $320. The work was good, but I would recommend that you NOT sign an ""estimate"" of what is supposedly ""the highest amount the job could possibly cost"" when that's what, it seemed to me, he intended to charge all along.

I have known Steve Davis for several years. So when my toilet overflowed he was my go-to person. He called back and 20 minutes later he was at my front door. He snaked my toilet and voila, I was much relieved and a happy customer. Once he arrives I know he will stay till whatever the problem I had is resolved. Thanks Steve.

Steve did a great job installing the water filtration system in our basement. He is up front with the customer on all issues. He and his crew were diligent in their work. The finished product was clean and professional. Steve also took the extra step to tie down some equipment with straps to guard against damage from earthquakes. That in itself showed me the guy cares about his work and goes the extra mile to make sure it's done right.

I called Steve at 830 after discovering that my hot water heater had blown up... I called Steve Davis. Got right a hold of him. Him came right over confirmed the cost of new heater, did not try to talk me into higher priced model, only what we needed. He left to get the new Hot water heater and came right back. Got everything back up earlier than he had promised. Then for no charge he fixed the dryer venting on my dryer and made a few suggestions and it has really cut my drying time down. I would recommend Steve Davis Plumbing to anyone. Thanks Steve....... Nice Guy too....

Once again Steve came to the rescue fixing my major leak the very next day after calling him. He is easy to get in touch with and returns calls quickly. I appreciate his concern for using good quality parts. Now I just text him a photo of the problem and he arrives with the materials I need on his truck - not wasting my time and money running around town looking for parts.

Steve is my first call for any plumbing issue. He's handled small jobs like my recent scrub brush down the toilet to large ones like replacing the leaking shower controls which required breaking through the wall.

Steve's responsive, efficient, and detail oriented. He leaves thing just like he finds them, except working.

Steve delivers more service than he actually charges for. He's my go to, he should be yours too!
