If you are looking for someone to leave you without heat so that you need to hire another professional to actually fix David's mistakes, then he is your guy. Also a complete sleaze and beyond unprofessional. Call a reliable company like Garabedian Plumbing, they were awesome and did things right the first time.

I was charged twice the price and got less than half the job done!

It started out great: he responded almost immediately to my inquiry, was very nice (even giving tips for how we might be able to do some of it ourselves), and came by very quickly to look at the work. Based on this, we hired him for two jobs: one repair & adjustment, and one replacement that needed parts ordered. He quoted each job for about $60-80, and we agreed to wait until all the parts came in so it all could be done at once.

Things went downhill from there: he arrived for the tentative appointment we made without mentioning that the parts had not come in. He thus only did the 1st job and said he would need to come back for the 2nd when the parts came in. After he left, I then realized that the $120+ he charged for the one job was within the estimate for BOTH jobs!

After waiting weeks without hearing if the parts came in, I called to check on their status and to also ask him to fix the adjustment he made as it did not work. He apologized for not contacting me sooner saying he had been very busy, and said he'd come by early next week, just let him know that day. I did so, leaving voice messages to confirm the day and time at both his work & cell phone #s.

He NO-SHOWED.... Not only did he not show up, but he did not even make a follow-up call: no apology for not coming, no calling a week later claiming he hadn't received the messages and was wondering what happened; nothing.

I'd like to say it was a simple misunderstanding as he seemed like a nice guy, but to not follow-up with a customer and complete work they paid for is simply inexcusable.

David Clay is listed as a BBB business which is where I found his name. I had a sewage pipe leaking in my basement and he came by to repair quickly and correctly - showed me everything he did and what the problem was. He was friendly and courteous. I will be calling on him again if/when I have plumbing issues.
