Dave was able to walk me through the problem using the live video from the drain snake (plugged main sewer line) which was really helpful in understanding what he was doing and what I was paying for. He explained to me how to identify a plugged sewer line in the future, and recommended a yearly clean out of the main line due to the roots getting into the older clay line. He was also very transparent with his price (one price to fix the problem) unlike other plumbing services I have used in the past.

I filled out the general Yelp project details to request quotes from multiple plumbers. I stated my issue and asked for a quote to assess the issue, and for the repair. I didn't say anything about my expectations of cost. The arrogant response from Dave was off putting and unnecessary.

I can only assume he's been turned down for projects for high pricing. Fine, maybe he doesn't want to waste his time on estimates that don't get picked up. But his assumption of my intent and his aggressive response to a request for a quote was so rude!

I didn't bother responding to his comment and went with someone else (and certainly not at a ""handyman price"" whatever that is).
