David graduated from Southwest High School in Fort Worth, Texas, in 2001. Before he graduated, David became passionate about plumbing and took on an apprenticeship with Ryan's Plumbing. David obtained his Journeyman Plumber License from the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners in March 2007, right before he was called to serve in Iraq during Operation Enduring Freedom. After his service in Iraq, David went back to plumbing and obtained his Master Plumber License in May 2009.
