When I made an appointment to have a sluggish kitchen sink fixed I was told there would be a $50 travel fee since I was ""out of their area"" (30 miles). I agreed to that. 2 men worked for 2.5 hours and replaced a section of PVC pipe in my warm, dry basement and replaced the 2 sink strainers in my kitchen sink. The workers, David S and Mike were nice and friendly and cleaned everything up when they were done. I nearly had a heart attack when they gave me a bill for $821.32 (yes, EIGHT hundred)!! They charged me $200 for service call for 2 men (I didn't ask for 2 men), the $50 travel fee (the only extra fee I was told about) AND an extra 1 hour travel time (said they came from an hour away)! When I spoke with Troy, Customer service???, he was rude and condescending to me. As a senior citizen on a fixed income this completely overinflated and unexpected expense was criminal. So BEWARE!!! Ask up front about ALL charges they may add. I would NOT recommend Dave's Plumbing to anyone!!

Requested service to figure out what was wrong with my water heater tank. Performed maintenance work without my authorization and handed me an invoice. I would not have had them install a new tank without doing my research. Claims there was a hole in my tank but never showed me anything and hauled the other tank away. When I called the office to say this is not normal, the man basically blamed me and said that's a normal price. I called around after and found out, it is not. Learn from my mistake and do not get scammed like I did. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Rip Off. I wish I just sent them on their way.

Called to have a driveway drain unblocked 8/23/23. Very simple access to the drain (they could drive to it and lift the grate out of the way).

$200 to snake the drain. This was a surprise, but I am new to the area and wanted this done so my garage would stop getting flooded. Big storm coming.

For $200 they ran a snake and found a blockage at 30 feet. They said they weren't sure if that was the only one, but I could pay them an extra $300 so they could run their camera down the line and look. I hesitated. Oh yeah, as part of a ""package"" they'd look with the camera for ""only $250.""

I wonder what the tech's upsell commission is?

My drain backed up again this morning.

They advertise ""We won't drain your checkbook.""

I would NEVER call these frauds again.

My rating is less than 1. We also got played. Not sure of these men they send out are even licensed plumbers. They came. They made a bigger mess. Didn't fix a thing. Left us with a pipe leaking and floors flooding. They said another technician had to come out and it may be a week. Seriously ?! Then they wanted paid $337.50. Then another fee for another tech to come out whenever. Oh, whenever. It was and still is an awful experience. My brother who's trade isn't a plumber. He tightened 2 screws around the hose clamps, which the plumbers didn't even do or attempt or forgot? So, my brother stopped the leak. They didn't have the right tools to remove black cap at the top of the drain where the clog is. They said they couldn't get it off and they didn't have the right tools. They left a bigger mess and they ran a snake and that's all. They even left their snake in the backyard and a toolbox in the kitchen. Not sure what was on the minds, but bottom line. You fixed nothing. Problem not fixed. After learning about this company and talking to other professionals, they went against their license. I stopped payment on that check after all this and until our problem is fixed. We won't pay you. So, Dave's plumbing. You can call me and we can discuss the negligence and how this can be rectified!

UPDATE: Dave's Plumbing came back out and completed all necessary repairs. They went above and beyond to resolve all my concerns and issues. I am very pleased with their response and professionalism. They did a great job!

Had them install a gas line hookup for my generator and add a frost free hose bib in the same area about 2 years ago.
Asked them to add a gas shutoff as my meter is over the hill. They forgot to cut in the shutoff and sad they would have to charge extra time to tear it down and start over. Also took them a long time to solder the hose bib because water kept coming in until I suggested that I open the spigots on the second floor. Da...I called and complained how wrong and long the job was taking, I was told that the chief worker was having a bad day because of a personal relationship. (Not my problem) When I finally got around to using the hose bib months later I called Dave to complain of a very slow flow rate. He said that was normal. Wrong!
Now the water union they soldered is leaking cannot use and will have to be replaced. The one I installed 10 years ago is working great.
Called the company again to see if there was something they could do. They responded they are under new ownership.
SAME WORKERS!
