I started this company following a drain challenge I experienced at home. We were striving to get by. The technician who came out tried to convince me I had additional issues. Since I couldn’t afford the repairs, I took matters into my own hands and unearthed my yard, only to find no issue. The real problem stemmed from another area inside the house. That experience made me recognize the need for a local professional who truly cares in our community. I see familiar faces in town every day, clients I’ve served for many years. I take pride in helping others and feel fortunate to support my family while doing so. This is the reason we’ve kept our business approach consistent throughout the years. I could easily scale up with more trucks and workers, but we opt to do the work ourselves and build relationships with our clients. I’m confident that when I leave a job, it’s completed to the highest standard. If an issue arises, I will return to address it personally, not send someone else.

It was a simple job but the detachable head on the faucet for the sink spray didn't operate well due to manufacturer defect. Dave and his son worked with it to improve the functionality. Reliable, knowledgeable and honest with fair pricing. Read other reviews about the person in the office not returning calls and I found Martha to be friendly, efficient and professional. She even provided me with names of companies that could install a soft water system. All around nice family business you can rely on for good work at a reasonable price. So glad I have someone to turn to when I need a plumber in the future. Often a rarity nowadays!
Anita M.Called this business at 9am this morning. The lady who answered the phone was very polite. She offered service for this morning. By 11 am Dave was here. He had my drain unclogged and working in no time. Also fixed it so I could easily fix myself in the future. He was prompt, courteous and professional. Rate was extremely reasonable. I would not hesitate to have them back. I have only been in Gustine for 12 years, so I don't necessarily agree with prior comment on how he treats people that are Gustine transplants. Thank you Dave. Marshall C.Dave's is always our first choice. Solid service and very fair pricing! Great local couple who stay busy but always make time to help us out. They have snaked our drain, replaced our water heater, repaired our leaking toilet, and fixed our water softener.
D D.We have had the exact same experience. We've tried to give them our business a couple times, and always wind up getting someone from out of town. No one from Dave's has EVER gotten back to us. You call Dave's and you wait and wait. You call someone from Modesto, and tgey are out that afternoon.
The only people I know that give him good reviews are people who've lived here forever. I've only been here for 11 years. I don't think we count as locals yet.
Marla H.I honestly can not comment on the quality of work done by Dave's Drain & Plumbings as they have never done any work for me. What I can comment on is their customer service, which is incredibly poor! I am not sure how they remain in business! I called on a Thursday morning asking for help with my shower. The woman who answered took my information and indicated that some one would get back to me that afternoon to schedule an appointment. One week later, still no call. So, the following Thursday I called back. To woman remembered my call but failed to give me a legitimate reason why they could not call back. No big deal. She again took my information and promised that someone would call me ""soon"". One week later, what do you think? Yep, no call! Again, I'm not sure how they remain in business!
The ONLY reason I gave this place of business a one star rating is because Yelp would not allow me to post with zero stars!
