David Hutson was contacted to remove water from the basement of a property owned by our family during a period of heavy rain. When asked what the fee for services would be he replied $275. He was asked three different times the charge and each time replied $275. He did not specify if it was $275 for the job or $275 an hour. He brought a very small pump and remained there several hours. Additionally, he placed the pump at the basement steps and not at the lowest point of the basement as it would have been much faster. There were 3 inches of water in an approx. 20 x 20 basement. After several hours of piddling around, he charged us $1,500! If you use his services, PLEASE make sure you get a fee in writing. Not an honest businessman indeed!
