I bought my house with the hot water heater under the house in the crawl space. A week ago, just before Christmas the tank failed. I called and talked to James Clateterbuck. He came out, crawled under the house and told me what it was going to take to fit a new tank under there. I wasn't surprised to hear it would be a lot. To make a long story short, he started and finished the work over the course of a day and the new tank works just fine. I have grandkids coming to visit and they will be able to take hot showers. I'm very happy with James and highly recommend him.

James Clatterbuck is the current owner, and is lower priced than other plumbers. As a one-man show, he charged $1,500 less than was quoted by one of the much larger and heavily advertised plumbing outfits to install the exact same water heater. That might sound impossible until you consider the things the other plumber insisted on adding that James didn't. He's definitely worth a call.

Disappointing and unprofessional. He sounded friendly and reliable on the phone, and assured me he would arrive around 7:30 AM on 6/15/17. At around 8:00 he called to say he was ""running a little late."" I tried calling him around 8:30, but there was no answer. He never did show up. He never called back either. Avoid this loser.

I needed a new hot water heater. Based on reviews written when Dave himself was in charge, I selected this company. It is now apparently now a one person operation. The new person (not Dave Foote) concluded he knew exactly with the problem was before looking at what I actually needed. He slightly damaged a tub faucet while attempting to drain the old water heater. I needed another contractor to fix that. More important, he purchased and installed a new water heater without consulting with me. The result is a new water heater without the full functionality needed. It must be taken out after just 30 days of use and replaced with another that has the full functionality required. He also left a lot of rug dirt behind. I will definitely use some other contractor for that task. Recommendation: Do Not Use This Contractor.

Dave was the best plumber in Vienna, and he was almost impossible to get time with because his schedule was so packed with other customers. But when you were lucky enough to get him he was always fair and reasonably priced. A great guy that will always be missed.

So basically this story starts about 8 years ago. Main line sewer drain broke and it needed to be fixed asap. My wife was pregnant and we had guests in the house so it was indeed the worst possible time. We called this service. The owner was a woman at the time, very nice and she sent out a team. The guy in charge (who now owns the company) basically said it was his company and he was running it. 7,000 dollars later we had a new drain. When we got it the guy said ""you'll never have problems with it."" We have snaked it out twice a year for the past 8 years. You do the math. I called and he blamed it all on the woman who was no longer owner of the company. Basically lousy workmanship, they don't stand behind their work, and the owner is happy to play the blame game. Stay as far away from these people as possible.
