Had backup in kitchen sink last night. Called and Dave's son and his brother were there this morning, got the job done promptly, cleaned up completely. Was very impressed with Dave Jr, can't remember his name, but is wonderful young guy following his grandmother's instructions, as he told me, to always clean up before leaving. Made suggestions on how to avoid recurrence, real pros.

We originally called DDP last year with a blocked kitchen sink, which is what introduced us to the business. This review is about a separate incident we had.

Last night I walked into my basement to find water rising in the sewage clean out. It drained after not using water in the house, but you can imagine my panic at seeing water in the basement and even wet toilet paper coming out! I called DDP around 6pm, left a voicemail, and shortly after I had a call back. They could come first thing in the morning at 8am.

A man named Jackson (we think, now we're not sure that was his name, so sorry!) came by right on time, asked us some questions, and got right to work. He was very kind and respectful. He explained what happened with our sewage (there were roots in the sewage line and he had to rod the line) and recommended some tips on how to evade something like this again. Jackson was in and out in less than an hour and even wiped down the area he worked in and left everything very clean. Extremely professional and efficient.

Could not recommend this business more! I wanted to wait until we had another ""issue"" to write a more complete review (just one instance feels a little narrow), and from our two very urgent problems I can confidently say we will certainly use this company again with no hesitation next time we have a plumbing issue (which hopefully is no time soon plumbing issues suck haha). Thank you for your wonderful service!

We are so grateful to Dave Deutsch Plumbing!
On a Saturday morning, with guests on the way, our sink backed up.
Most plumbers were closed for the weekend, but Mrs. Deutsch put me in touch with Dave who was busy on another job.
Vonn, Mike & Dave all rallied and unclogged my drain that involved cutting into a basement pipe to dislodge a major blockage.
I am forever grateful to Dave Deutsch Plumbing for helping me out when I was really in a bind. Highly Recommend!

I couldn't disagree more with the other review listed here for Dave Deutsch Plumbing. Here's why:

My wife and I are homeowners who reside in one of Warrenville's oldest historic homes --built in 1853, complete with a bronze plaque from the Historical Society on the front. We bought our home in 1998.

Since we moved in, the water service has been problematic due to the aging galvanized steel water pipes that run throughout the house. It's a bungalow, with two bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen and a downstairs laundry sink.
The galvanized pipes got to the point where our water pressure was bad enough that we knew it was time to re-pipe everything with new copper pipe.
For a major job like this, I carefully made a water pipe diagram of the house, measuring how many feet of pipe would be needed for everything (--about 175-ft). I then shopped around and obtained four quotes from other in-town plumbers here in Warrenville.

I knew full well from my neighbor (--who is on the Warrenville Plan Commission) that Dave Deutsch Plumbing had the reputation as being the 'best in town,' when it comes to plumbing. Low and behold, his cost estimate also came in as the 2nd lowest of the others.

But more importantly, for a major job like repiping the entire house, my wife and I wanted the CONFIDENCE that our choice in plumbers was a company that was experienced, professional, licensed, insured and an approved City contractor.

I'm SO GLAD we chose DDP for our job! From the very first time Dave came over to do his (free) estimate, he asked questions that none of the others had asked. He took careful notes and phoned me later with his cost estimate.

The work to repipe our entire house took 2-1/2 days, which included running pipe (and soldering) in the tight crawlspace below our kitchen (see photos).

He had an assistant for one of the days, and he was nothing but professional and helpful as Dave's right hand man, cutting sections of pipe and even doing a little soldering.

The overall quality of work the DDP did was incomparable. Every pipe run was neat, tight to the wall, no big splats of solder everywhere, wiped off every connection, installed plenty of 'braces' and 'air chambers' (which cancel 'water hammer' at the faucets). EXTREMELY professional work!
At the same time, DDP installed a new hot water heater AND a new single-handle shower valve, tub & shower head spigot.

When it came time to turn on the main water valve and do a pressure test --not ONE leaky connection, anywhere, out of nearly 100 solder joints. Wow!
Dave also mentioned that he undergoes annual retraining and updating of the latest techniques for his plumbing skills.

Plumber's assistant unprepared, uncooperative, slowed down the job which cost me $$. Although plumber was excellent, assistant just got in the way. Will not invite back.
