Company Overview
We are afour-decade company, one of theoldest in Sumter County, dedicated to all your plumbing and gas needs, fromsimple faucet repairs, water heater services, and installation of both standard tank-type heaters and tankless systems, to sewer fixes and replacements, toilet repairs and replacements, to updating your home or plumbing your new residence.
Our history traces back to my great-grandfather, TE Guess, who started Guess Plumbing in the 1940s. My grandfather, Sidney M. Daughrity, then operated as New Idea Plumbing, which was renamed Daughrity Plumbing in the late 1940s. My father, Sid M. Daughrity Jr., affectionately called Rooster, continued the family tradition in the mid-1970s, rebranding to Daughrity Plumbing, and in the late 1980s, we officially became Daughrity & Sons. While I can't pinpoint the exact startup date, I have a good idea of when it began.

Diane R.I have called Daughrity at least 3 times in past 6 months. They respond almost instantly. Ask a few questions to make sure it's not an issue they can walk me thru to fix. When it requires more than I can do, they schedule an appt quickly, arrive on time or call to update me on a delay, bring what ever is needed & handle the repair efficiently & cleanly. I would highly recommend this service. As an owner of an older home frequently requiring minor repairs, I truly appreciate such a prompt & reasonable service.
David L.It takes time to get a good plumber. They are BUSY. Daughrity gets the line flowing. They are going to install a new clean out and repair 1939 sewer line. He knows what he's doing.
William S.Always late, never keeps an appointment. Failure to call back twice over several weeks and finally called back the third appointment to say he could not keep appointment leaving me hanging. My time is valuable as well. I was warned about their habitual lateness habits ahead of time by a friend and I wish I had listened.
