My homeowner's warranty company selected them to fix a plumbing emergency. I contacted them and they made it out the same day, much sooner than I was expecting. They were friendly and respectful and took care of the problem quickly. I definitely recommend them.

This was my experience with this company, my home warranty company assigned them to me to fix my water heater. The plumber was supposed to be at my house from 3 to 8 according to the email I got, but they showed up earlier so I missed that appointment. Not sure who messed that up. I had to call the plumber back to make another appointment. It took several tries to reach them but finally I had a new appointment. This is day two of the process. The plumber does not really give you a window of when they will be there so you have to be on call and wait for there call and then be at your house within 30 minutes. I met the plumber and he told me what was wrong and then checked with my home warranty for approval. It took longer then usual to get the approval due to high call volume, so he said he would order the part and come back the same time tomorrow. The next day I'm waiting at home for plumber and no one shows up or calls, this is now day three of the repair, I call the plumber back again after several tries and finally get a hold of someone, who tells me they were still waiting for approval from the home warranty and that I should call them myself. "So if I didn't call them to get this info I would have wasted another day waiting for the plumber to arrive." I called my home warranty and they told me the repair was approved. I called the plumber back after several tries and let them know it was approved. She said someone would be out tomorrow but once again with no window so basically I'm on call again and have to stay within a 30 min radius of my home. I wanted to switch plumbers but that would start this process all over. Day 4 I get the call meet the plumber and the hot water is on again. Im between a 3 and 2 star rating but went with 2 because yes they fixed the water heater but the process was agonizing. Also this plumber needs to communicate better with there customers.

After reading the reviews I was a little fortified to find out that my home warranty company assigned them to us. They were very quick to come out and diagnose the problem and collect their money. They promptly told me that they had to go buy some a new pipe and would get back to me regarding when they would be back to fix the pipe. I specifically asked them to come back the following day or at the very latest the day after that as this was a leaky faucet issue in our kitchen and needed prompt service. It shouldn't be that difficult to schedule a time to repair considering they came out to diagnose within 24 hours. Apparently after they collect your money you drop to the back of the line. The guy would not commit a day or time and said that someone would get back to me. The other thing is that their were two guys that came but one stayed in the car the entire time and the gentleman in my house had to keep going out to the truck to pass everything through this guy who never even looked at anything. I never heard back and continued to call everyday several times a day and either was told they would get back to me or I was forced to leave a message on an answering machine. Needless to say they NEVER got back with us. We contacted the warranty company and told them what happened. The warranty company is reimbursing us part of the money but we have to file a formal complaint. In the meantime how many other checks have they collected for work they have no intention of fixing? They are a scam!! Beware.

I really think these shady contractors and equally shady home warranty companies are in bed with each other. If you want to be charged almost twice as much as a more REPUTABLE company with BETTER ratings charges, then go right ahead. BTW, save that monthly fee and service fee paid to the home warranty companies and their scam artist contractors like this company who will surely find a way to squeeze more money out of you than what you're paying for this bogas dual attack. Find your own plumber or contractor next time something goes wrong. I learned this lesson the hard way.

The business is horrible! They totally suck at customer service. After 2 days and at least 10 calls to a clueless office receptionist. I still didn't get to talk someone who could schedule me an appointment. These people did some plumbing work at one of my rentals last week and the stoppage returned after 2 days. My guess is that they didn't want to come back since they wouldn't be getting paid. They didn't seem to care that my tenants didn't have water for 2 days. They claimed that they didn't want to come back because I owed them 45.00. This reasoning was bogus since I told the receptionist they would be paid in full when I meet the plumber at the property. The only reason I used this company was through Choice Warranty. I would highly recommend NOT using this company unless you are in to poor customer service. Poor repairs and no communications!!!!

AWFUL. My equally awful warranty company (Choice Home Warranty) assigned Daugherty to me 8 WEEKS ago for a bathroom sink leak and to replace 3 bathroom sink drain stoppers. I am STILL trying to get them to come out and fix this leak that is probably as simple as needing a rubber washer replaced. Because this leak got noted on an inspection when I was selling I have to have a licensed plumber. I've expressed this 4 or 5 different times. Daugherty plumbing either just DOES NOT call me or they call and ask if I can be home in an hour in the middle of a work week which is not feasible at the last minute. They cannot seem to book and appointment in advance and commit to it. I have something tentatively schedule for after 3:30PM today and have been waiting on a confirmation call all day, which I have yet to receive. I've called them twice today and no one picks up AND their inbox is full. This does not seem like a legit business. Furious that I am the one who constantly has to follow up with them and warranty company. 8 WEEKS FOR A LEAK. Unacceptable.

This company was assigned to me by my warranty company and while they showed up promptly to fix my plumbing issue, the plumber's sawsall nicked my sink's line and it sprung a leak the next night. Since their work is guaranteed for 90 days I figured it would be no problem to get them back out to fix the mistake.

I called and left a message on a Friday evening, and they are closed on weekends. Mind you, I can't use my sink during this time period. Monday: no call back, not answering phones. Tuesday: no call back, not answering phones. Tuesday: called on my wife's phone and suddenly they figured out how to answer! Well then they tell me I have to go back through my warranty company to reissue them. I do that. I get no call back from them to schedule an appointment. Wednesday: no call back. I call in again and finally get someone and they tell me they "might be able to have someone come out today if they have time". No call. No show.

Terrible sense of customer service. Do not work with these people. I'm calling my warranty company and urging them to remove this plumbing company from their list of service providers. I'm utterly disgusted.

This company was assigned to us by our home warranty company. They "accepted" the job on Wednesday, last week, I talked to them on Thursday and they said they would come out on Friday between 4-6. I tried to call them on Friday morning to confirm their arrival time but there was no answer, so I left a message. They did not show up for the appt., didn't return my call. They left me stranded all weekend without help for my plumbing problem...why accept a job if have no intention of showing up or answering the phone!!! BEWARE

What follows is a formal complaint to the BBB about an open dispute with this company. I am willing to update this review in the event Daugherty Plumbing formally responds, and the dispute is resolved.

Complaint:
In response to a home warrantee service request for replacement of a 3 handle shower stem, Daugherty Plumbing (DP) was dispatched to assist. The repair work done on 6/9/16 was unprofessional and unacceptable. The total time to fix was 5 hours, for work that should take no longer than 1 hour; a major inconvenience which forced me to take time off work due to the delay. The technicians had to leave and come back to the residence multiple times since incorrect parts to fix were obtained.

Worse is the fact that the technicians broke two squares of tile and left the damaged area completely unsealed. I pointed the damage out to the technician, and was told that "this sometimes happens." I was unable to use the shower afterwards due to risk of water damage to the wall. No professional would leave their final work in such a sloppy state. Displeased with the repair result, I contacted both my home warantee company and DP to complain the repair work was unacceptable. I contacted DP by phone 3 separate times between 6/9/16 and 6/16/16 for resolution. On only one occasion did I speak with an individual who said he would "lookup my work order and get back to me." I never received a return call, leading me to believe the individual was just trying to get me off the phone and ignore the problem. At my request, the home warantee company also sent a formal damage letter asking for a response, and to begin an insurance claim process. This letter dated 6/10/16 was completely ignored; it has been well over 3 weeks since the complaint was filed. I still cannot use my shower to date (7/3/16).

I believe I have done everything I could to arbitrate with DP, and allow them the opportunity to resolve the issue. At this point I am pursuing an independent contractor to repair the damage, and will have to pay additional cost out of pocket. I am extremely dissatisfied with DP, and I never again want to work with such an unprofessional company.

Desired Resolution:
Upon receipt of an invoice from the contractor, I will attempt to be reimbursed by DP's insurance company, but am not hopeful, since previous communications have failed. I want an insurance claim reimbursement for charges from 3rd party contractor to repair damage to tile. Work to be completed on 7/6/16. Expectation is for Daugherty Plumbing to contact me with instructions on how to file an official claim with their insurance company, and for the claim to be paid out.
