Their main goal it seems is to separate you from your money. Hard to blame the techs which seem nice. But the company is terrible. They do the minimum at higher than market prices and are continually up selling.

Echoing comments from Sony S. - Dauenhauer plumbing does not care about your time.

Forced to take a day off to accommodate for a 4hr appointment window (10-2) w/ a call 30 mins before arrival.

At 1:40pm - I called asking for a status update, while on hold, a technician left a message and said he was running about ""2hrs"" behind.

I called again at 4:30 pm and got the run around, but I was told someone would call me back.

At 6pm - 4 hrs outside of the appointment window and 2 hrs later than the technician said he'd be delayed, I received a call back to say they were on their way.

I ended up scheduling another plumbing service.

Dauenhauer Plumbing has been around a long time. From the days it was owned by Ray, it was the local company that grew in leaps and bounds and provided great service at a fair price. Those days are long gone.

We already had an account in place so it was easy to call and arrange service for our property management company. Over and over, they would give us a 4 hour time frame and our tenants would be home to wait. Sometimes leaving work or asking a friend to be there, we/they waited. Over and over that time frame would come and go until the tenant called us, then we called them, and they would inevitably say they were running behind or they would be there the NEXT day. Evidently their time frames must merely be a suggestion! Imagine the concept of actually letting the person know you were running behind AHEAD of time! Crazy concept. Their time is valuable, Our time was not according to their thinking.

Their prices are on the higher end. It's not the $85 service run, it's the parts and labor after that. Never got a bill under $200 even if it were a simple fix. If it were a faucet washer or drip, $200 please! The other day i was having a family birthday party that evening at 6pm. I called at 8am and got a time frame of 10am to 2pm. At 3:15pm, I call them in a panic. ""Where are you?"" They said they would call dispatch. I was on my phone (as property management requires) when a number came in. I tried calling it back when i got off, but no one answered. Evidently it was the plumber and since I did not answer, he cancelled the call, the one I had been waiting on all day and just reached out to them about! The office did not call to respond or tell me they were ""on the way."" They simply cancelled it. By 5pm I called again to be told I missed the call and they went to a different person. The main bathroom was in non working order for my family gathering. Not the end of the world, but darn it, I did my best to get it fixed and they AGAIN dropped the ball.

All around BAD SERVICE. That was the last straw! I am done. Whether it's something big or something little, it reminded me of when I had paid $5500 for them to move a drain at a business and they dropped the ball on the permitting. I had to call and call and remind them to keep the ball rolling. I called the city to check on it, not they, and pushed it along. It took twice the time it should have. It reminded me of the time, they over charged on a back water valve repair. After the ""emergency"" I realized they were twice the going rate. It reminded me of the $10,500 water heater at a condo building that they argued about the warranty after it had an issue in 3 months! They wanted to charge me a $700 repair after paying that much money!

It reminded me off the MANY times I've had issues, just to be brushed off. My jobs were never important to this HUGE company that has recently added ""heating and air"" to the mix. I've tried dealing with the manager Brian, but that will leave you wanting to pull your hair out. It's never their fault and ""Sorry"" or making it up to you is not in his vocabulary. So if you are a consumer with one bathroom in one house or you own 55 properties and other businesses, you will be treated equally crappy. Goodbye Dauenhauer. Like a bad boyfriend, it's time to move on and find a plumbing business who actually cares about customer service.

I had no problem with their plumbing, which is why I hired their heating and cooling. But heating and cooling are all about bilking you out of everything. I paid to be in their special club, and I paid again $60.00 for some guy to come out and tell me it would be $1300.00 to clean my coils and that my circuit boards were bad etc... On a friends advice I call ""Elder"" heating and cooling, elder comes out and they absorb their fee into cleaning my coils and their freon is only $100.00 per gallon (where Dauenhauer wanted to charge me $130.00 per gallon). and for a total of $230.00 ""Elder"" got my heating and cooling fixed. DO NOT GO WITH DAUENHAUER their agents work off commission on how much they sell, they are going to try to sell you a WHOLE new unit, when you don't need one.

It was a few months ago that we had plumbing issues, and as things happen, it was a Sunday. I called and they were at my house first thing Monday morning. The men were polite and fixed the problem the same day. I didn't tell them, but it was hundreds of dollars less than I was expecting. :)

I highly recommend Dauenhauer.

Our air went out at 8 pm and they were out to look at it by 8:30 the next morning. It was repaired and working great by 9:45. When we have used them in the past they have always been professional and courteous and the problem resolved quickly. I would recommend them to anyone that needed the type of services that they offer.

i needed sewer line replaced. Dauenhauer did dig a trench and replace pipe. What they did not do: test pipe upon completion of work, tell me about the option of them grading work area, pick up and remove large roots before the rough fill, follow through with clean up.
Our sidewalk was damaged by backhoe and I was informed that was to be expected because my yard has a hill.
The technicians were in a hurry to get to next job and left me hanging.
Can not recommend them. Terrible customer service.

Upon turning on my A/C for the first time this year, a very pungent burning smell filled my house. After checking that nothing was actually on fire, I called Dauenhauer to see if someone could possibly come out that day. The call center efficiently and kindly got my information and within 30 minutes had a tech scheduled to come that day. The tech arrived exactly when they said they would and was able to quickly assess the issue and assure me it was indeed fixable. He went on to explain more than I could have hoped to know about the system in my recently purchased home. He did so with the professionalism that let me know he knew his vocation very well and yet was able to explain in layman's terms so that I completely understood what was being presented to me. Such great customer service! I've definitely found a real gem of a company.

I sincerely want to thank Jason. He was so professional, careful, and safe during this time of uncertainty. He went over and beyond to makes sure everything was running correctly; I had heat while they waited on the parts and made sure the outside and inside units were talking to each other. It showed he is passionate about his career and his clients. Thank you so much for being so professional and practicing safe/ healthy measures to makes both us stay healthy.

Adam M. was great. He explained the who, what, where and why the leak occurred and was able to repair the issue. Since this issue was 99% going to happen in our other bathrooms, we asked if could fix the plumbing in our other bathrooms. He was able to do so and did so successfully. He also answered my many questions regarding plumbing in general and gave great recommendations. He was polite, clean, courteous and did not smell (like cigarettes, cats or funk/musty). I would definitely recommend Dauenhauer. Adam M. is a great representation of the company and I am very pleased.
