Company Overview

Dashing Dan's Plumbing & Heating Inc. has served as a trusted provider of plumbing, heating, and cooling solutions for three generations in Suffolk and Nassau Counties. We offer expert solutions to maintain your home's systems at peak performance.

Dashing Dan's Plumbing and Heating is a family-owned and operated business with a legacy spanning three generations. With over 50 years of industry experience, we are committed to quality service.

With more than 30 years in plumbing, Anthony has honed his expertise. Anthony's path in plumbing began with his father, Dan, who founded the company in 1960. As a twelve-year-old, Anthony spent his after-school hours at the shop, assisting with office duties and organizing stock. Anthony loved going to work after school, motivated by his father's example and dedication.

As he entered his teenage years, Anthony began riding along with the technicians, gaining hands-on experience. Anthony rapidly learned different facets of plumbing and heating. Always a fast learner, Anthony advanced swiftly, eventually becoming a lead mechanic for both residential and commercial projects.

Eventually, Anthony took over the business and is now preparing for the next generation of the family to join him.

Gauged his prices during covid 19 pandemic and took advantage of me and my family during a time of crisis. 14 thousand for a job that cost half. He will tell you zero percent interest on a loan his son will get you but don't do it. He will take the money and dash. Left my house a mess and mountain of garbage on side of my house. Did a botch job.

I just had a very good experience with Dashing Dan's. I needed new bathroom fixtures in the townhouse I just moved into.

Customer service is top notch. A live human being answers the phone. The plumber came right away.

High class operation. The van was new and clean. The plumber was very nice, professional, and competent.

He gave me a choice of fixtures. Charged me a reasonable amount. The job came out perfect.

I definitely plan on using them again if something comes up. Hopefully, not too soon.

We call a service for Drain Cleaning service over the phone, they said the service will cost $300 to solve the problem. But their price change to $250/hr service when they came. We decided not hire them, they charge $100 for checkup service, which have NOTHING DONE and never mention on phone.

If you need A/C repair or installation look no further!
This company is simply the best!
Our Southampton home was rented in August and the A/C completely broke. I called them based on Angie's List reviews. My husband provided them with size, model number, etc. The next day they came and installed a new system and thermostat. Our guests were amazed! Clean, efficient and professional! Simply the best!

The Job required installation of a cast iron tub, shower faucet and Diverter with the entire bathroom gutted. After install, the tub did not drain. Only a trip valve adjustment needed. After closing walls with wonder board, I found the Faucet and Diverter covers would not work because both were installed too far away from the wall. Had to remove wonder board so they could position the Diverter and Faucet correctly. They assured me everything else was fine. After Tile was installed and I turned on the shower Faucet only to have the water drip-out. Very low pressure. Called Dashing Dan, they had to remove the cover (already installed and caulked) and adjust the Hot and Cold water pressure. Next we tested the Diverter. To my surprise, the Diverter could not separate the Shower head from the Hand held. Both would be on at the same time. Only the Tub spout operated independently. They tried to tell me I had a bad Diverter Cartridge and had one shipped from Kohler directly to me. It turns out that the Diverter was installed upside down. With the bathroom already Tiled, I had to remove shelves and sheet rock from inside my closet so they could install the Diverter correctly. No offer of a refund. Apparently my time is worth $0/hr while they charge $285/hr.

Paid my contractor $11000.00 to put down 800 sq ft of radiant heat flooring. My contractor hired Dashing Dan to do the job. Dashing Dan had 7 different technicians at my house and none of them could get there system to work. In the middle of the winter for 7 weeks I had no heat on a system I paid in advanced to have. Dashing Dan gave up after 2 1/2 weeks and stoped answering my calls for another 4 weeks. I emailed my contractor and dashing Dan numerous times and got no response. Eventually I hired my own plumber who completed the job and charged me another $3500, which I split with my contractor.

Today I got a certified letter from dashing Dan's from the Suffolk County clerks office stating that me and my contractor have a mechanics lien for $4500.

The owner of Dashing Dan is named Anthony. This guy has zero integrity. Horrible business ethics.

Stay far far away.

We called to ask about getting a faucet installed. We purchased it but being that my husband has some knee issues and arthritis he preferred to have someone else do the install. Over the phone we were told a price of $285. When the plumber got here he said that to access it he thought he would have to remove, then reinstall the in sink disposal. Since my husband and I had fixed one in another sink the month before I knew that was difficult. I had a conversation with the man about doing so. With that added in the price more than doubled to $585. I agreed and left him for twenty minutes doing the work. He had joked about hoping I would say no at that price bc he really didn't want to do the job. I went back to check and he was done. Said he didn't have to remove the disposal, and he was very aggravated he got his shirt wet. The price was still the same despite not having to do the extra work we talked about. The extra fee was because it was hard to reach not because of the extra work he thought he had to do. I paid and we subsequently called to speak with the company to ask them to refund some of the extra charge. They don't care gave us the run around about having to talk to the person that did the job, and have him explain why it was extra. It was obviously a situation where he saw someone he could take advantage of and did so.

DISGRACEFUL!! 2 days after a repair by Steven from Dashing Dan's, my basement had a huge leak. When I checked my plumbing closet, I discovered that a cap was off of the PVC plumbing coming from the ejector pump. The cap was placed perfectly on a horizontal stud right next to the plumbing. Due to their negligence, I now have raw sewage soaked into my carpeting, linoleum flooring, walls, and molding. I called Dashing Dan's and had to text pictures of the damage. They told me that they would send someone over the next day but I insisted on someone coming over that night. Steven came and said to me that he knew for a fact that he put the cap back on. He said there must be a clog in the line and the cap burst off. Seriously? Is this the water bottle challenge where the cap landed perfectly on the framing right next to the opening? He wouldn't own up to his mistake. He put the cap back on and secured it. I had to put cardboard down until the restoration company could come in the morning. They sanitized the area and put in a dehumidifier and fans. I asked about the carpeting because according to EPA guidelines and the Department of Health, carpeting is highly porous and cannot be salvaged when contaminated with raw sewage which is a category 3 black water classification. Lance from Dashing Dan's was supposed to come to my house to assess the damage. I waited home all day on Tuesday, finally called and he told me that he received the report from the restoration company and he figured that he didn't have to come. Thank you for the courtesy of letting me know. The restoration company went over the carpeting again when they picked up the equipment. I called Dashing Dan's today for an update. The manager, Chris, informed me that my carpeting is completely sanitized and safe. I insisted that I wanted it replaced because it is not safe as per EPA guidelines. He responded with ""Are you an EPA Specialist? Do you work for the EPA? Have you had anyone take samples or come to your home to assess it?"". I did not ask for this major inconvenience that caused unsanitary and unhealthy conditions. I am asking for the situation to be rectified in the proper manner. I am still waiting for a phone call back from the owner, Anthony Pellati. Chris told me that he would give him the message. I will be taking this to court now.
