Our water main in the front yard broke and I called multiple plumbers. Some of them returned my call, but Chad with Barber & Sons was the only one to actually answer his phone the first time around. He also came out the same day to assess the issue and was super nice. He spent the time to answer our questions, talk to us about what he thought was going on, and clearly explained what the process would be to fix the problem. Within a day and a half he had a quote over to us with a breakdown & description of the work that needed to be done.

This was a two-day job and they were on time both days and worked relentlessly in the August heat and humidity to make sure it was done properly and within the expected time frame. Chad and Jordan even took the time out during the work process to show me what they were doing and explain why they were doing it. When the inspector came out to assess the job half way through, he commented that the job looked great and was one of the best he had seen like this. When the job was ready to wrap up they did a nice job at cleaning up and doing what they could to ensure there wasn't a big mess left behind.

Barber & Sons is a family-owned, local business which I prefer compared to the larger, more corporate businesses. They take pride in their work and it shows in their professionalism, customer-service and quality of work. Both my husband and I are very pleased with the quality and efficiency of the work they did and would hire Darryl Barber & Sons again in a heartbeat.

Our hot water heater died Wednesday afternoon before Thanksgiving. I called a few places and was pretty much told nothing before Friday. One place even told me (sight unseen ) you need a new one, $2400. Our old one was LP and wasn't leaking. Then I reached Darryl Barber. Someone was at my house in 15 minutes! Repair was unlikely, but the effort was made. When that didn't work, we weren't charged for the effort. We proceeded to a new one. Right away, his price for replacing with a new LP heater was $400 lower. But he even went on to suggest that since we were now a household of 2, that we go electric. We agreed and saved $1200 by doing so! It would have been very easy for him to sell us the higher priced job, which really wasn't necessary. The new unit was installed quickly and efficiently. We are thrilled!

Hands down the best company I've ever dealt with! Arrived at the time they promised, did the job well, and left my home cleaner than what it was when they arrived. They respond quickly to calls and explain everything they're going to do before they start. I had them replace my old oil heat with a new efficient heat pump and have also had them out to fix a few plumbing issues. Highly recommend this great company!
