My rule with trades people has been ""If they are on TV, don't hire them."" I have had more plumber problems (not to be confused with plumbing problems) than any other trade. So, who do you call when your plumber is broken? Daniel Brown Plumbing!

They were on time and they do not have hidden fees. Their fee is $155 per hour as I write this and they were gone in less than 2 hours. They unclogged 2 drains: one took 15 seconds to unclog, the other was a bigger issue in the tub. They took the time to educate me on how to prevent the clog in the future and recommended using drain cleaners that have a biological component (unlike Draino, which can harm pipes).

The two plumbers who arrived were named Joey and Adrian. Both were very professional, friendly, and they did not dilly dally. They wore masks the whole time, which I do value as I am immunocompromised. They also did not have to be asked to put on the mask and they did not 'wait and see' if I were wearing one first. After the job was finished, Joey spent 15 minutes wiping down everything with disinfecting wipes to leave everything clean.

I told both Joey and Adrian I generally hate plumbers because I have had so much trouble finding good ones. Pretty much all the TV plumbers are horrendous and a few others I tried were just terrible. But, Daniel Brown Plumbing is excellent. I highly recommend them.

This plumbing company gets it! I would rate them 10 stars if i could! From the moment I got on the phone to explain my issue i was treated with respect and understanding. Dan listened to my issues, he even asked for pictures so he could give me his best estimate over the phone (instead of wasting time with an additional consult).

This morning Adrien called about 30 minutes out, arrived on time and completed the job in about an hour. He had covers over his shoes and left my bathroom clean afterward. He took time to listen which I appreciate most of all! The estimate i was provided was exactly what I was charged, which was an amazing price!

I am so happy i found these reviews on yelp and decided to go with Dan Brown Plumbing, if you're in the Louisville area and don't know where to start, THIS IS THE COMPANY YOU SHOULD USE!

I used Daniel Brown for several small jobs in the last year and they have been absolutely fantastic. Very respectful of my space, wore masks, and completed everything in a timely fashion. Definitely recommend.

They came to install my disposal last week. Rick wore a mask and shoe coverings, and did the job effectively. There was a slight snafu with scheduling, I didn't answer my phone when he called so he went to another job. Once I told him I was on conference calls all day and needed to respond via text, we were able to reschedule for the next day and everything went well. I was super flexible and it wasn't urgent, so no harm no foul. I would use them again.

This plumbing company can help over the phone and relieve stress for the homeowner. Had a dishwasher/garbage disposal issue and I was walked through a process to relieve clog. Hooray!!!!

COVID SCAMMER

CHARGED $572.00 FOR A $140.00 JOB

AT $150.00 PER HOUR

For a $5.86 bronze toilet flush handle to be screwed on (they bought at Home Depot, the very cheapest available) and a $3.25 wax ring to be placed under the toilet. The kid also flushed out some buildup in the sink faucet's screen...

It took him over 3 hours, with 40 minutes in his truck, and he removed some of the working perfectly toilet tank mechanics (before) leaving it damaged and leaking now.

He left bragging about the high tech replacement.

Dan Brown kept saying he was coming, he apparently incompetent, and finally showed up after over 2 weeks sending some kid...

Probably one of the best examples of great customer service I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing.

I had a water leak and was referred to a different company to fix it. I contacted them for a quote and requested a date and time for the appointment. The other company would only quote me the day, with a phone call 30 minutes before they arrived. But they would not allow me to pick the time for their arrival.

Frustrated, I turned to Yelp and this company was a top hit on my search. I immediately called and was greeted by Candace. I explained my situation to her to the best of my limited plumbing knowledge. A voice in the background joined the conversation. I later learned that this was a gentleman by the name of Josh McCoy. Josh asked me very specific questions about my situation and even offered some tips on how I could remedy the situation myself. At the time I didn't feel I would be able to use his suggestions, though greatly appreciated. I then scheduled an appointment.

After arriving home from work that day I remembered something Josh had mentioned that I thought I could try. 10 minutes later I no longer had a leak, and everything was back to normal.

When I called back to cancel my appointment the voice answering the phone was so pristine and professional, that I though I had gotten a recording. It turned out I was speaking to the owner, Daniel Brown.

I explained that I needed to cancel my appointment because Josh had essentially fixed my problem over the phone. He was delighted by this information. I explained what I had done to remedy my issue. We spoke for almost 15 minutes following. He gave me other tips and tricks that I could use in the future if the issue arose again.

He also provided other guidance for other possible plumbing issues that I hadn't even considered.

The conversation was so personable, almost like talking to an old friend. Something that is hard to find in today's fast paced world.

Daniel Brown Plumbing will forever have my business and I will always direct anyone who needs those services to them first.

Unable to help me due to being so extremely busy, I do know from the past that this is an excellent plumbing service. Even though they couldn't help this time, they have me other people to call and check to see if I could get someone out quickly. A place that is willing to hand over a job to someone else and not try to be greedy and ruin a good standing due to being late or unavailable, is a great company! I'll be calling them again and maybe they'll have more time to get to me by then when I need them!

So good, he didn't even need to visit or house to save our Christmas! We called to request service on our water heater on Christmas eve, and although they didn't have anyone available that day, they called and walked me through a few diagnostics and suggestions yo address the issue. I followed his instructions and our houseful of guests (11 in all) enjoyed hot showers through the Christmas holiday and beyond. I'll definitely call these guys when we get ready to do our upcoming expansion projects in 2020, and you should too!
