Karen S.I had a house full of visiting family and a plumbing problem that needed to be fixed right way. I called places closer to the city and they couldn't fit me in for a week or 2. D'Angelo's came recommended by one of the companies I called and they really came through. I needed a toilet replaced and some very old pipes replaced and they did it quickly and did a great job for a reasonable price. I'd definitely use them again!
Had D'angelo's come on Monday 4/6 to diagnose the furnace because no heat. The technician was very thorough, but couldn't find the problem- no code. He told me to call if the problem recurred. He was going to charge me for the service and cleaning with a 5% senior discount. Then he told me about an agreement plan which sounded good at that time so l signed up. Today (4/8), l called again because the heat went off. The same technician came and the code showed up that the pressure switch needed to be replaced. His quote was over $300 for the switch. I was shocked by the cost and told him that another company's quote was less than $100. I told him that l should have gone with the other company and plan to cancel the agreement. So l called D'angelo's today and spoke with Jeff, general manager, to cancel agreement. Jeff told me that he would credit me for the difference of the service/cleaning for Monday and today's service. I told him that he can't charge me for today because the technician said he'll waive today's charge. After l was being persistent, Jeff finally said he wouldn't charge me for today's service. When Jeff was calculating the credit difference, l told him to include the senior 5% discount, but he refused even though he told me himself before l hired them. Then l told him l want to speak to the owner and he said that he is the owner and he could do what he wants. Jeff lied because he is not the owner and he was very rude and arrogant. He still owes me the 5% difference, but most importantly he does not know how to deal with customers. If l ran a company, l would never have an employee like Jeff. While the technician was very professional and honest, Jeff was very rude and dishonest. I don't plan to do any business with D'angelo's in the future.
They Overcharge Senior citizens who don't know any better. Blame things at are completely in their control. Make up excuses when confronted with the overcharged bill. Won't make it right. Don't use these people. Plenty of honest plumbing company's out there.
Mitzi B.Our lower level was flooded today when our water heater failed. After calling numerous plumbing firms, several of whom could not be here for two weeks, D'angelo had a guy available today and they were here in no time. Despite severe limitations on space, they swapped out the old for a new water heater. They had to remove a laundry sink and shelving to access the heater. They did this with no extra charge and great good cheer. Tim is an amazing young man. The happiest plumbing transaction I've ever had and I'm 77.
Kudos to D'Angelo Plumbing.
